There’s too many to deal with all at once, but start with the violent criminals and send them back where they came from. If the country refuses to take them back, stop ALL aid, ALL imports, and ALL travel to/from that country.
Also, as a last resort, put sanctions on that country.
Sort them out: the ones otherwise obeying the laws, learning English, supporting the Constitution and themselves should go on the list to earn citizenship; the hostile illegals on welfare get first consideration for repatriation to their home country or a parchment farm.

Deport them when caught. Don’t go around door to door gestapo style, just remove them when you find them. This, along with the removal of any and all welfare programs for those who can’t prove citizenship will lead to many of them self deporting. I’ve gone cold to this nonsense and am saving what little empathy I have left for others who aren’t serial law breakers just by their very presence.
And also stop using the term ‘law abiding illegal/undocumented immigrant’ in all instances. By their very fucking presence here they are not law abiding. Everywhere I look that newspeak nonsense is being used by the left and right alike.

“Now that the wall will be built”. It ain’t done until it’s done. IMO, they can stay “in the shadows” (and subject to deportation) until the wall is COMPLETE. After that – any of them who’d committed any (other) crime…OUT. Any who’d ever voted … OUT. Any with tattoos (other than Our Lady of Guadalupe) … OUT ;-). If there are any left who have been in the states for a long time (5+ years), I’d be OK with their paying a big fine, proving proficiency in English and regularizing them in some way with NO pathway to citizenship.
First to deport are the violent criminals.
Next to deport are the radical Islamists.
Next to deport are the criminals.
Next to deport are any of them who ever have voted in an election illegally, or received public benefits as an illegal.
Next to deport are all the refugees on public assistance brought in by organizations like Catholic Charities.
The illegals who are working, learning English, assimilating, and have no criminal past – which is different than having a criminal record, who have never been on public assistance, who can be vouched for with a stringent set of employment and character references, them we need to figure out. For this group it’s worth considering the possibility of a deferment of deportation all the way to a path to permanent residency.
Otherwise build the f**king wall, and stop importing Islamists and third worlders.
Send them back if/when they’re caught, by whatever means. Nontrouble-makers have a chance to return legally by jumping through the same hoops as our legal visitors. Criminal types have no chance to return legally. Ever. A visa doesn’t ensure citizenship, being a good citizen might. Speak, read, & write English. No more anchor-babies.

This was pre-election and Trump came up.
I asked him what America should do with illegals. Ellias mentioned that if roles were reversed any illegals would rot in a Mexican prison, unless they had money to buy themselves freedom. So he chuckled that a nation full of people who demand laws and new laws, simply ignore existing laws.
That being said, he said, round up all the criminals that are taking space in American prisons and ship them to Mexico, any others arrested later, ship them to Mexico.
All hard working families; fast track citizenship, make them pay taxes like all Americans. The freeloaders will leave and go home, the hard workers will stay, tough it out and make good Americans.
Deport the criminals as they are caught.
Then require proof of citizenship or legal residence for anyone to receive any government benefits (including driving privileges, healthcare, and income tax credits).
After that, the remaining ones are probably not going to cause problems and we can ignore them as they slowly assimilate and become Americans.
Lets be practical as there is no way to deport all of the illegal aliens. Furthermore, some of them we want and need. There should be a statute of limitations of 5 to 7 years (SoL) for illegally entering this country like for many other non violent crimes. After all, we are the ones that didn’t prosecute it and, whenever there was a liberal in the Whitehouse, encouraged it. The SoL, be conditioned on;
1. Having committed no crimes except immigrating illegally and never having been deported, including misdemeanors excepting minor traffic infractions,
2. Speaking English,
3. Never having received welfare assistance in any form except emergency medical care,
4. Having paid taxes, even illegally using someone else’s social security number,
5. Never having voted illegally which needs to be verified (not just not being on their record as having been caught),
If they meet these criteria and the statute has tolled, they are issued a green card and must apply and complete the citizenship process within 3 years.
Anyone aiding and abetting illegal aliens shall be guilty of a 5 year felony, including employers and their culpable employees, from the date of the Statute.
This approach would get rid of the crooks and keep the good, hardworking aliens that we need but make the task doable.
We should eliminate anchor babies for illegal aliens but not for legal aliens.

They are ALL criminals. If they are in the US illegally, they broke the law.
Why should any of them be rewarded for their criminal activity? Some kids will suffer for the sins of their fathers, but it has always been thus.
I wouls send them all back if it were my decision. They have their own country. It is not as though they are being sentenced to death. Mexico could use them, seeing as the MSM says they are such hard-working, law-abiding, tax-paying citizens.

Under the previous administration the R/R ratio promoted illegal immigration.
Raise the risk by eliminating sanctuary cities, jailing illegal immigrants when found (actively and passively) and prosecuting the employers of illegals.
To lower the reward just stop offering free shit to non citizens and make employment difficult.

Banks are very secure but they still get robbed every day. Imagine how many would get robbed if they piled the cash in the middle of the lobby and offered a free toaster to the first 50 felons who open a checking account. I love all the ‘speak English’ comments and how delusional they are. Legal immigrants don’t speak English and we don’t enforce that law. I know of at least 2 legal individuals here over 20 years who don’t speak English. I don’t think I’m out of the norm for any urban dweller.

English-speakers, skilled persons, young, healthy persons (especially single persons), no criminal background AT ALL, never has applied for or received ANY public assistance, has paid taxes (this is an area that may be difficult to determine since many work on a cash basis), waives right to bring other family members, not from a terrorist-breeding country, never involved in any political and pro-immigration activity in the U.S. These can go back to their country and apply to come back like anybody else. All others: Go home, now.

Although I second the motion to offer to legalize all the aliens here and once they come out of the shadows, review each applicant for prior criminal acts. Otherwise, it will take a long time to seek out criminals first before legalizing anybody.
The truth is that nobody wants to legalize them, 16 years of pretending only proves that the state has no intention of legalizing these useful dupes. They won’t say so because it keeps the illegals in place earning low pay and it keeps the public barking up the wrong tree instead of nipping at the bankers butts.
Get the wall built, then start building trebuchets capable of launching illegals over said wall.
