There’s often a whiff of sexual panic in these here parts.

I think you guys are afraid some of the boys are lookin’ better than some of the girls.

In their defense, that’s not a high bar to beat:

That the abberants rule the roost is proven by the election of Newsom. The constant 65 degree weather and “tolerance” makes it a haven for beggars, crazies and crazy beggars. The smell of fair trade coffee and oil from Chinese restaurants is tempered with that of urine. It’s the city with the fewest kids https://www.google.com/amp/www.governing.com/topics/urban/gov-families-and-children-cities-report.html%3FAMP?client=safari. The Golden Gate beckons jumpers. Last time I was there in 2015, BART was shut down for a while because someone jumped in front of a train. The place has a creepy vibe if you ask me. It’s almost as if perfect weather, unmoderated hedonism and a maternalistic government don’t make you happy.

Yes, it DOES have great architecture, great weather, and great food! It ALSO has a creepy vibe.

Unfortunately, I have to go there every so often to visit a relative who lives near the financial district. Its been getting harder and harder to force myself to this duty. I promise myself all kinds of rewards for going, and fulfill each promise on completion, and yet for the last few I still haven’t gone more than once a year.

WIP, have you been stewing in your juices that long? It was, what, two months ago that I braised your hide over a dumb comment and today you choose to hit back like a pussyfied pussywillow?

Those are two gay caballeros but they are white. EC is a short, unappealing brown dude who couldn’t get laid in a men’s or women’s prison.

Looks like you need more work. You should change your WIP to POW – piece o’ work.

It must have been a pretty lame braising since I can’t remember it.

BTW, are you the illegal wetback with hairy palms that keeps leaving his shopping cart in front of my casa?

Wish there was a shot of what the somewhat overweight but otherwise relatively normal woman is looking at with her eyes bugged open!
I haven’t been back to Frisco since the 60’s. It was wide open but still respectful back then. Probably the epicenter of the whole 60’s paradigm shift taking place. The “Summer of Love” and all that.
The saddest thing I recall were the hippy girls going to throw dog doo at the returning servicemen as they de-planed, some in bandages and some missing limbs. Even then I knew they should have been in DC instead, throwing turds at our congress critters who had sent us over to ‘Nam in the first place.

SF is a sad and violent place for gay men in particular.
The custom is a yearly treck to mecca/SF and be hosted
by whomever chooses to take you in. Time to party!
A co-worker/friend came back bruised/battered but proud.
Five years later he was dead with AIDS. It was a miserable death.

Orange County now has a serious STD problem.
They grew careless about hetero-sex, forgetting that pussies are no safer than rectums.
They can also portend plagues and parasites.

Greetings,

San Francisco is dying but it is a different death than you might think. It is a cultural death.

The tech bubble that has enveloped San Francisco has caused a problem where it has chased away the majority of its creative class and working class. Musicians, poets, dancers, painters & writers have all been driven away by the soaring costs of rent that only someone working 80hrs a week at a tech company could ever dream to afford. The traditional gay Castro District has been cleansed of all but the richest of homosexuals. Homes and businesses still fly rainbow flags in honor of what went on there in the past but that time is now gone and probably gone for good.

You might think that all that tech money would mean that the bars, trendy night spots and hipster/artist hangouts would be full of people spending money but that is far from true. The soaring cost of housing in San Francisco has killed all nightlife minus some places for tourists. Overworked hipsters that have to put 80% of their income into a crap shack or apartment have little time or money to enjoy the city that they reside in. They literally work just to pay rent and nothing more. They are slaves to their housing and dare not utter a peep as the vast ocean of homeless zombies are a constant reminder of what will happen if you dare to take a day off.

I hear these stories from the exodus of artist/workers that have fled the North and have moved in and around LA as it is far more affordable. They tell me how when the working class was chased off there was no one left to attend their concerts, visit their gallery or sip coffee while listening to a poetry reading. The current crop of residents have no roots in the city and no time for anything other than work and sleep where they dream of working at the next Facebook or Google.

It may be the saddest city in America.

Not true. Music venues such as the Fillmore Auditorium and Great American Music Hall — both legendary — as well as other rooms like The Independent continue to offer reasonably priced live music of all kinds.

More proof the coasties are the land of fruits and nuts. No wonder they voted for Hillary. The dregs of society. Sad.

Yeah, yeah, heard it all before – we’re the shame of the country.
Arizona should be the next west coast, blah, blah, blah.
Like those assholes are pure paragons.

You forgot your standard “Blessings :-}” bullshit virtue signalling at the conclusion of your post, Ed. Must be slipping.
