The United States Is On The Precipice Of Widespread Civil Unrest

Submitted by Michael Snyder via The Economic Collapse blog,

It doesn’t take much of a trigger to push extremely large crowds of very angry protesters into committing acts of rioting and violence.  And rioting and violence can ultimately lead to widespread civil unrest and calls for “revolution”.  The election of Donald Trump was perhaps the single most galvanizing moment for the radical left in modern American history, and we have already seen that a single move by Trump can literally cause protests to erupt from coast to coast within 48 hours.  On Friday, Trump signed an executive order that banned refugees from Syria indefinitely and that placed a 90 day ban on travel to the United States for citizens of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.  Within hours, protesters began to storm major airports, and by Sunday very large crowds were taking to the streets all over the country

From Seattle to Newark, Houston to Boston, hundreds jammed airport terminals — lawyers, immigration advocates, ordinary citizens compelled to the front lines, many refusing to leave until those who had been detained by U.S. Customs had been freed or had obtained legal counsel.

On Sunday, the movement caught fire and demonstrations and rallies erupted in communities across the U.S. from city halls to airports to parks. In the nation’s capital, the site of the march that drew a crushing 500,000 people Jan. 21, Pennsylvania Avenue was shut down Sunday as thousands trekked from the White House to the U.S. Capitol. An energized crowd stopped outside Trump’s showcase hotel along the avenue to shake fists and chant “shame.”

You can see some really good pictures of the protests going on around the nation right here.

As I was going through articles about these protests today, I remember one woman holding up a sign that said “Remove Trump By Any Means Necessary”.

It doesn’t take much imagination to figure out what she was suggesting.

Visions of violence are dancing in the heads of these very frustrated people, and they are being egged on by top members of Congress such as Chuck Schumer

‘These orders go against what America has always been about,’ Schumer told the crowd in Battery Park according to the New York Daily News. ‘The orders make us less humanitarian, less safe, less American and when it comes to making us less safe people forget this, that’s why so many of our military, intelligence, security, and law enforcement leaders are opposed to this order and all those like it.’

Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of Trump’s presidential rival, Hillary, tweeted a picture from the rally. It was captioned: ‘Yes. We will keep standing up for a country that matches our values and ideals for all. #NewYork #NoBanNoWall.’

On Sunday, President Trump attempted to clarify what his executive order was really about and make it clear that it was not a ban on all Muslims.  The following comes from CNN

President Donald Trump insisted Sunday his travel ban on certain Muslim-majority nations would protect the United States from terrorists, after a weekend of outrage and confusion over the move.

In an afternoon statement, Trump wrote the country would continue showing “compassion to those fleeing oppression.”

Unfortunately, polls show that somewhere around a third of the country greatly dislikes Trump, and those people are more than ready to believe that Trump is a racist bigot that hates all Muslims.

But the truth is that Trump does not hate any group of people.  His target is simply Islamic terror, and he is actually pro-immigration as long as it is legal immigration.

Let us not forget that his wife is a legal immigrant.

I know that Trump is quite eager to get things done, but putting out this executive order at this particular moment was definitely a case of poor timing.

We are a nation that is deeply, deeply divided, and now this latest controversy threatens to divide us even further.

When I was out earlier today, I saw a pro-Trump billboard that some business owner had put up that was urging liberals to quit their whining.

On the surface that may sound funny, but it definitely doesn’t do anything to bring us together.

If you give anger enough fuel, eventually it leads to violence.  I am certainly not suggesting that we should ever compromise on what we believe, but what I am suggesting is that there is a wise way to handle things and an unwise way to handle things.

Someday, widespread civil unrest is going to sweep across the United States and major American cities will burn.

My hope is that we can put this off for as long as possible.

In fact, I sincerely hope that this will not happen at all during the Trump/Pence era.

But you would have to be blind not to see the hate, anger and frustration that are all growing like cancer in the hearts of our young people.

This is a time for the peacemakers.  If there are any left in Washington, we need them to rise up now and try to bring healing before it is too late.

“Idleness is the devils workshop.” With 100,000,000 working age Americans not working, rabble rouser elitists like Madonna and Chelsea Clinton pontificating their hypocritical hogwash and every type of decadence from the fringes of society who follow them, has there ever been a saying more fitting?

This is coming from the same bullshitter who said worldwide collapse would happen on 23rd September 2015.
I predict that one day, maybe one of this tosser’s predictions might turn out right, given the right situation and circumstances.

Exactly. Snyder gave up his job as a douchebag DC attorney to be a doom porn peddler – with a side of End Times prophecy. Shemitah, Blood Moon, Biblical Numerology, there’s nothing too wacky for his reportage.

“The election of Donald Trump was perhaps the single most galvanizing moment for the radical left in modern American history, ………”

Of course it is, it’s the first time anyone has ever actually stood up to them and told them to stuff it.

And just about the first time the America of the productive working class has had any real say so in anything going on in Washington.

Government is god to the left, and they are terrified that there is any power that can make it be or do anything other than what they want.

This is why the “illegal alien crime” statistics were never collected by the Obama administration, and why Trump’s requiring them to be publicized is so important. If you cannot identify a problem, you can ignore it, minimize it, and prevent it from being solved. If you identify it (correctly), the solutions become … obvious.

Frankly I could care less if they are angry. I’m the one that should be rioting. Let’s get this over with. I’m tired of listening to them whine.

I’d suggest Trump have it out with the left now over immigration because no one but the fringe left wants Muslims here. Not Latinos, not Middle America, not even Silicon Valley. The Muslims are repulsive and obviously dangerous and economically useful only as ‘enrollees’ at second rate colleges and universities and small convenience stores operating as criminal fronts.

The real fear is that if Trump can limit immigration of refugees and Islamo-filth he will be able to hit the arteries of Third World globalism. The influx of 5 foot tall mestizos, the cow worshiper with an H-1B visa, West Indian dope peddlers and the Sub Saharan savage!

Unfortunately, no one on the MSM shows or other highly influential positions in America is expressing anything but horror at this, even to the point of calling Trump and his supporters insane.

And those people, with all the continuous public exposure they have, continue to reinforce the leftists beliefs that they are the majority and mainstream of America and keep the moderates from publicly taking side with the Trump movement even though most of them actually lean that way in private.

This is why it has been said that the pen is mightier than the sword, and why it is vital to gain control of, or at least equal and proportionate representation in, public media. Without that, we are at a disadvantage (and the left knows it).

This asshat says “This is a time for the peacemakers. ”

Bullshit. It is time to bitchslap the loony left into submission. You cannot make peace with those fucks. In the end, they need to be treated firmly. No more placating society into ruin.

There is a time for peace and there is a time for war.

The time for peace usually comes after the time for war has settled things.

“Unfortunately, polls show that somewhere around a third of the country greatly dislikes Trump, and those people are more than ready to believe that Trump is a racist bigot that hates all Muslims.”

So what-we didn’t riot when Obama was elected.
In his State of the Union speech Trump needs to emphasize how limited this ban really is and that he will do whatever it takes to protect all Americans, both internally and externally.

Outside the SoU speech,he needs to ask why these people always seem to have time to protest-are they trust fund babies, being paid, taking time off work,on public assistance?
Wouldn’t it be great if he gave a speech about these protesters and showed some footage of how they really act?
If he is able to get the people in the middle to start thinking that these people are not regular guys/gals like themselves he could pull more people to his side while leaving an opening to go after the FSA.

Once he has shown the middles that he is not such an ogre as he has been portrayed,he needs to point out how the universities and colleges are turning out such disjointed and unhinged students,so therefore higher ed will not receive any increase in funding under his administration.
Instead, all $ that would have gone to higher ed will be block granted to the states to use for K-12 education as they see fit,w/o any oversight from the Dept of Education.
Some of you will say that he should just cut education $-in a perfect world I would agree but that would be politically difficult, almost impossible. However, giving $ for local education will be politically positive and neutralize a lot of opposition.
Violence needs to be avoided if possible but these radicals need to be isolated and their funding sources exposed and dried up.

Are those the same polls that showed Hillary Clinton with an 80% chance of defeating Trump?

I thought so.

In the run up to WWII, Italy invaded and slaughtered many Ethiopians. In several battles it was noted that the old men in the forward positions had their ankles chained to spikes in the ground. They were expendable.

The Left, and the Press are using the tried and true tactics of divide and conquer, to make the audience believe that we are doomed, and that the failed policies of the last 8 years have nothing to do with today.

If the right had protested every action of the previous administration, they would have be castigated by the press as a bunch of racists.

yesterday we were racists, today we are deplorable, you just can’t win when you are talking with people who’s income and lifestyle are beholden to a free lunch from .gov.

I already see that Trump has begun the firing process, let’s see some more of that.

The standard wage for an American is $29,000: Social Security data reveals raw figures for the wealthiest country in the world.

The typical American worker is making $29,930 per year. Keep in mind that from this amount you have taxes being taken away and this also doesn’t account for other expenses like healthcare.

I imagine there is a geographical consideration to that as well.

30,000 a year makes you well to do in some parts of the country, just hanging on in some, and homeless in others.

Trump was “normal” America’s shot across the bow, a message to the smarmy far-left that they are no longer going to be coddled and treated like special snowflakes.

Predictably, they didn’t like this news, so they refuse to believe it. Now they are double-downing on a losing bet.

I believe that the Republicans will aid the Democrats in taking down Trump. I also believe that the downfall of Trump will galvanize the right into action, escalating things.

I don’t know what will happen after that. Donald Trump’s election was a black swan. What happens at the end of his Presidency will be another one, the one that kicks this Fourth Turning off with fireworks.

Whether they are celebratory (Trump is successful, and Makes America Great Again) or in combat (Trump fails and we have Civil War) remains to be seen.

I grew up in a mill town. This was a working class area. People lived well enough. Most had least one car, indoor plumbing and a telephone (even if it was a party-line). From an early age I knew that many times lessons were taught with a nod, a frown, or a look of disgust.

If a child were taken behind the barn, that was parental correction. If a group of men went behind the barn it could only mean one of two things. Either there was a little whiskey to be sipped, or someone had got way out of line.

Nothing was ever mentioned, but the event was known.

Boys could get in some trouble if found peeking from a distant vantage point, usually it was a stern “you’re too young to understand this kind of thing yet” type of talking to. But most of us already knew how things worked, you just keep your mouth shut.

Let people who don’t “get it” ask questions, the results speak well enough.

There was a specific case I remember well. There was an employee at the mill and he was a relatively new hire. After some time there were undercurrents about his proclivities for women. He was a little to obvious about it.

Problem was, that he didn’t seem to care about marital status.

As I recall, a couple months went by and he didn’t make the time clock for a few days. Seems he had a few bruises and cuts, mostly about his head and face. (must’a been that new hay baler).

A bit later, there were again, looks of disgust and nods.

I wasn’t there for the second round, but the whispers were that he needed some serious medical attention. Apparently, he ended up on the last train out of town that day, pockets torn and ripped, he had to have been in a hurry to buy that one way ticket.

Sometimes you just can’t get good medical treatment locally.
