What did the Useless Idiots expect when they took all the cap guns, water pistols, rubber band and dart guns away from kids?

Lived in the Houston suburbs in ’73. Friend and I were drinking, smoking pot and decide to go shoot cow flops with shotguns. I’ve no idea why but it seemed something to do at the time. Harris County sheriff’s “depaty” collars me (my friend ran like hell and made it). The depaty takes me to a substation, the Sgt. at the desk books me (disturbing the peace) and then says to me like he’s bored…….”go on down there, pick ya outta cell and close the door behind ya.” Was ORed a couple of hours later. Sometimes I miss Texas. But I miss those kind of real Texans more.
