Controlling the world is a tough undertaking; this plan has been ongoing for decades, so give our Emperors and CONgress Critters a hearty round of applause for sticking to their guns and adding millions to their death toll. FORWARD

Super pic guarding the poppy field.

If Freedom = Poppy fields, then the answer is yes.

It has a lot to do with “make work”. See, if the military had nothing to do, then a lot of pissed off, trained to kill GI’s would be coming home saying “where is my job?”
For the past 15 years, the GDP of the planet has been basically stagnant. The only thing that has grown has been a few select silicon valley industries and the national debt. Real productivity has been on the decline since the early nineties. Square that with having to “sell” the voters on prosperity and the ‘Murican dream.
Pitch forks would come out pretty quickly if the reality of the world set in to the medical drones, military “boys”, education “industry” and the various other skims that are attempting to grow trees to the heavens in a finite resource world.
I figure that politicos think this, as well as these other skims are about the only thing that is going to keep the “peace” – at least keep the peace to them and their families / bank accounts. Noone wants to be in “power” when the shit hits the fan, because then they will be blamed, so they keep rejuvenating things, just barely, so it becomes someone else’s problem when the bottom falls out. Hence making up enemies and “problems” continually.

excellent observations Anon..

The other part of the plan is to keep the ME in chaos, until we no longer need their energy supply. Since the world we know it today does not function without cheap and abundant energy in the form of fossil fuel, this will continue, until it doesn’t.

and don’t think that cheap fuel will be replaced with anything like windmills or solar panels, they are just a diversion, a construct for lefties to focus on, instead of allowing them focusing on stopping the endless foreign wars, like they used to do in the 60’s & 70’s

Good call; my Nokia is the same, been in water, dropped countless times and still gets the best connection on my daily call to England.

Who ever thought it was about freedom in the first place?

Every sheep that willingly volunteered to “join the fight” and the countless millions of gullible, flag-waving cheerleaders who constantly fawn over them and thank them “for their service.”

It took 15 long costly years to increase Poppy production 30% there. The prior administration (the Taliban) of the great state of Afghanistan, also known as “The Land Where Empires Go To Die” made it a priority to destroy as many poppy production fields as they could, during their regime . The motto of our endeavor there should have always had been “Making it Safe There, So You Can Safely Nod Here”.

That’s EXACTLY what they’re doing. Just like when we had a crack cocaine “epidemic” back during Raygun, when we were shipping guns & ammo to the Contras and bringing back….cocaine!

Go to any area with a large representation of DoD … base, etc. They ALL believe in those areas … it is not particularly safe to speak otherwise there.

We need it desperately or the entire Internet will be Google/Facebook/Amazon. Everything else will be so fucking slow it’ll remind you of dial-up.

Nope. Westcoaster, you are flat out wrong. You know how I know that we don’t need Net Neutrality? Google just sent me an email telling me to “save internet freedom” by writing my congress critter and telling him I appose the “threat” to net neutrality. Do you think that if without net neutrality Google / Facebook and Amazon would rule, they would be pushing it….yea right.
They want net neutrality, because it allows them a free lunch. See, bandwidth costs money, and if Verizon, Centurylink etc. can be forced by government gun to allow multigig streams (think 4K NetFlix streams) and not have the right to request that they pay for their extra content bandwidth requirements, then they save money.
Like all of the other scams, this is just another case of using government guns to force someone else to pay for a donors free lunch.
I am not a fan of the major carriers, as they have their sacred cows and monopolistic practices as well, but I also know when I am being used, and this whole “net neutrality” nonsense is just another “cause” born about by some big business wanting a government gun used on someone else to get what they want. It ultimately will result in YOU paying more for internet access, because bandwidth still costs money, it is just instead of Google, or Facefuck paying for it, it will be YOU. See, I don’t use facefuck, and don’t use most of Googles services, so then I don’t have to pay for that. If I use Netflix, I should pay more for the bandwidth it takes. I don’t like the idea of my internet bill jacking up because my neighbor likes to watch cat videos on YouTube, or watch his cousins birthday in HD on Facefuck…..sorry. And, on the flipside, if I choose to be a Netflix subscriber, I should pay for that through them having to pay Centurylink or Comcast for the extra maintenance a large Cisco Blade router takes to shuffle 4K video packets from them to me. Get it?
Anytime some big corporation is pleading with the public on some issue of “freedom”, grab your wallet, because you are getting ready to be fleeced and raped.

In my lifetime the Military Industrial Complex has funded politicians to apropiate funds to bomb the piss out of any place on the planet where if God wanted to give the earth an enema that is precisely where he would stick the hose . The cost to the American people from the human perspective has been and still is a pathetic testiment to how corrupt our government has become and it is getting worse
