IMO, the best argument in favor of US citizens having the right to bear arms is that it impedes the rise of (or invasion by) a tyrannical government. If we can’t pacify a country of 20 million illiterate goatfuckers, a government bent on pacifying the armed US population (mostly non-goatfuckers) would have quite a task on their hands.

Rather than attacking liberals for their irrational fear of firearms, perhaps you might try asking why it is that the left is so hysterical about guns despite it being so low on the totem pole of threats. What is it that made the left this way? The human mind is naturally very keen on threat assessment. If you look to your left and see a giant growling grizzly bear running right towards you, and to your right you see a black gangster thug with a gun pointed at you, you’re going to run toward the gun. In the absence of the bear, you would never do that. But toss that bear into the picture and you do it without hesitation. And your politics wont matter one bit. Not one person in a hundred would run towards the bear.
Every person is exposed to thousands of little messages and symbols haphazardly implanted into their mind over a lifetime of public education and liberal media consumption. Each one is fairly benign by itself. But together, the sum of all of them forms a network that rewrites the mind’s natural proclivity for proper threat assessment. So people, especially the most well indictrinated (ie liberals), dont see diabetes or even cancer the same way as they see guns. Guns are not high on the list of threats to individual life, but they ARE extremely high on the list of threats to the State, and whatever the hell it is that exists in the shadows/bowels of the State. It should be rather obvious that this is literal mind hacking going on, and it evinces an intelligence far beyond what humans are capable of. The fact that this isnt scaring the living shit out of everyone is only further proof how well miswired our minds are.
Collectivists/liberals want to force us to see things their way. Their ideas are so illogical that they need confirmation from EVERYONE that they are thinking correctly. If we have guns, we can fight their attempt to force us to agree with them, that is why they don’t like guns. On Limbaugh’s program today he made an excellent point about just how insane progressives are. On one hand they scream about what a fascist tyrannical Nazi Trump is. Now add all them up and they fear he is going to do just what fascist tyrannical Nazi’s do. Soooo the second amendment was added to stop just that,but they also want to take all the gun’s away.
