Additionally, Sheriff Lombardo stated that the piece of paper in the gunman’s hotel room was not a suicide note and that authorities have seen evidence that the shooter planned to survive and possible escape, adding that he could not disclose details…

Police also told a news conference that 317 of the 489 people injured in the Las Vegas shooting have been discharged from hospitals.
Lombardo also said none of the cameras Paddock put up in the hotel room where he unleashed gunfire onto a concert crowd were recording, and noted that the shooter had 1,600 rounds of ammunition and several containers of an explosive commonly used in target shooting (Ammonium nitrate and Tannerite) that totaled 50 pounds in his car.
Earlier this afternoon, several law enforcement officials told NBC News that investigatorsare trying to identify a mystery woman seen with Stephen Paddock in the days before the Las Vegas massacre. They don’t know if she has any connection to the attack, but they would like to speak with her as they build a timeline of Paddock’s last days, the officials said.

It has been taken down because of “hate speech”. I watched it yesterday and there was NO hate speech involved, just a very calm presentation of a possible scenario. There was also the sound of multiple weapons being used simultaneously ( not reverb off buildings) and clear evidence of a shooter on the 4th-ish floor with accompanying shot sound. Why was it removed? Too close to the truth? This one stinks to high heavens, folks.

I did however read that there is an awning or cover at the 4th floor that a shooter could have stood on. Seems like a stretch to me.
steve-o, what adjacent hotels, moran? the nearest hotel is the Luxor with a pointy ‘roof’. Mandalay Bay is at the far end of the strip proper, the next casino south of it is South Point, several miles away.
There are no casinos or hotels either east or west of Mandalay Bay. I have never noticed oil tanks in that area, unless they are on airport property. It’s possible there were shooters in the Tropicana but folks ran from the kill zone near MB towards the Tropicana and headed to Luxor, Tropi and Hooters.

Paddock was older and wealthier than other gun rampage nuts but I doubt he was part of any conspiracy or had any motive other than a desire to kill.

Single shooter only (possible), multiple shooters (possible). No one knows at this point.
The official story is a single shooter and if no evidence (real evidence showing proof, not something that only suggests it but doesn’t prove it) emerges to show otherwise that is what will be will be concluded.
One thing that is known is that the attack was very highly thought out and well planned. It had to have taken quite a while to plan and prepare for it.
This wasn’t some amateur nut case job done after a psychotic breakdown or something, it was extremely well thought out and planned over a period of time.
I doubt the full story that the investigative authorities discover will ever be disclosed but the most disconcerting thing about that will be the motive they have for not disclosing it. There’s something just not right here, but I can’t identify exactly what or why it isn’t.
But maybe I’m wrong, time will tell.
Except, once (as the “authorities”) you’ve committed to the ‘single shooter’ explanation, then they only defend their explanation even in the face of other evidence, which they may also know is true but can’t be spoken of.

If all of this shooting came from his room there should be a mountain of spent brass. The pictures show only a few rounds on the floor. This whole bullshit official story is starting to unravel
The brass wouldn’t be in a pile, it would be scattered all over as the natural ejection pattern coupled with changing positions of the aim of the rifle would cause it.
But if there were multiple shooters there would have to be brass in several locations and it is unlikely anyone would be able to go in secretly and unobserved to remove it after the fact with all the attention being given the area around the shooting site.

You are depending on them to back track and say they made an error, which they never do. The Clark Co. Sheriff appears to be only one who is publicly stating that other possibilities are on the table … everyone has circled the wagons around the single shooter story.

It would also take time to collect all the spent brass and be highly visible to have men with rifles leaving the area and have no one notice them. Even more so if they were outdoors at ground level instead of inside a building or on the roofs of buildings.

You are going to see a lot of theories about what happened, some plausible, some not. The problem is that the government has been lying about so much for so long, so many in this country no longer believe them about anything. Nothing about this, so far, seems to be anything a single person couldn’t pull off. Fill your luggage up with guns, make a couple trips if you have to. It doesn’t require much training to operate any of these guns, they aren’t complicated. It doesn’t require much in the way of accuracy, as your target is several hundred feet in diameter. One of the pictures of his room showed a big stack of what look like 90 round Surefire mags, which explain the long strings of fire. The fact that bumpfire stocks fire at a lower cyclical rate than a real full auto AR would drag them out too. I saw somewhere he had a number of guns with those stocks, too. Load a half dozen of them, line them up. Shoot until empty, pick up the next one, dump 90 more rounds, repeat. Wouldn’t take but a second or two to drop one rifle and pick the next one up. WOuld also prevent a gun from having a stoppage related to overheating. Apparently many of them were from Daniel Defense as well, which are high end rifles.

Tannerite is a binary explosive for target shooters. A trunk full of it detonated with a single round would blow the shit out of a car.
It is two parts and has to be mixed first and deteriorates rapidly after being mixed because of the hygroscopic nature of ammonium nitrate.
Not known (at least by me) is whether or not it was mixed and ready to be set off or, for that matter, it it was actually tannerite or just ammonium nitrate being called that. Anyone seen pictures of it yet?

They’re relatively large and heavy (compared to an AR) and it would be difficult to conceal running away with one when people would be highly aware of anyone with one of them or a case large enough to conceal one. There are very, very few legal M60’s available to the public and even fewer illegal ones. Making an illegal one, which would be possible, is a very difficult thing to do and would require a great deal of experience and specialized tooling to accomplish successfully.
(FWIW, I haven’t shot one of those things in 50 years and can’t recall the experience well enough to make a judgment about it based on sound alone)

I’d like to see the “evidence” of his escape plan. Anything from gassing up his airplane to having scheduled a teeth cleaning with his dentist next week to renewing his driver’s license could be considered evidence that he planned to survive and get away. Even the cameras he put up could be proof that he (1) wanted warning to escape, (2) wanted warning so he could kill himself to avoid being taken alive. Ambiguous at best. A man as meticulous in his planning as he obviously was would realize that cops would be shortly swarming the hotel and that his chance of getting out would be slim. What exactly was his supposed plan?
