Bernie Sanders Claims “No One Wants” A Border Wall – Here’s Why He’s Wrong

Having run on the promise of actual border security – and winning – I’d say more people want an “$18 billion wall” than don’t want it. Sanders also posits that Americans would rather provide full and complete amnesty for DACA Dreamers.

For instance, here’s why Sanders is wrong – this author would only swallow DACA if it were a compromise for the expediting process of a border wall.

Yet, others do not agree with full amnesty as Sanders suggests, and truthfully, I cannot blame those who do not. For decades, we’ve seen our politicians shrug federal law and make American taxpayers take it on the chin for the burgeoning cost of illegal, unfettered immigration.

Let’s do a litmus test…

Would the family of five murdered by an illegal immigrant in San Francisco – a sanctuary city – agree with Sanders? Would the two women in Oregon sexually assaulted by an illegal alien 20-times deported agree with him?

Kate Steinle – the woman shot and killed by an illegal immigrant that had entered the U.S. unlawfully five times and had seven prior felonies – most certainly wouldn’t agree with Sanders’ obtuse claim.

Real Americans are sick of watching politicians sell out our country, usurping federal law already long placed in the books. Out-of-touch politicians like Sanders would do better to remember that their side lost and that the pulpit he’s preaching from is really just a slowly-disintegrating milk crate.

Bernie: you were shoved out of the race via under-handed methods from the DNC and Clinton – if you really cared about the American public, you should have fought back harder when you had your shot.

Instead, you just rolled over to Crooked Hillary’s money machine! Therefore, your critiques are as empty as your head!

You can’t fix stupid, all you can do is step back and admire it. Bernie is a prime example.

If the American people were really that concerned about it, wouldn’t YOU be president?

If Bernie hadn’t sold out for a lox and bagel with a cup of coffee, his opinion might have a tad more value.

He doesn’t; it was just some guy who looked like him.
He’s not that dumb… and I really believe he wouldn’t want a car like that.

Sanders and his fellow clique of insider elites, that think they actually represent the thinking of everyone, only associate and communicate within their own exclusive little echo chamber.

This is why they think “no one” wants the wall and everyone wants to legitimize the “dreamers” without strings, requirements or limitations.

But he and they are wrong. They should take a long hard look at who won the election and then honestly ask why they lost it instead of trying to place blame on anyone and everyone except themselves and their non representative political agenda.

But they won’t, their minds just don’t work that way.

When this survey was taken (2015) even a slight plurality of DEMOCRATS were in favor of a fence on the US-Mexico border. A clear majority (64%) of US adults favored a fence and 87% of Republicans wanted a border fence. It’s the main reason Trump got the GOP nomination, and any other candidate could have staked out that position.

I don’t give a rat’s ask why Trump was elected. Trump is working for all Americans, and sentiments change over time. Now that the world knows how much a dick Trump is, even Republicans are turning their backs on him, leaving his shrinking base as the exception. The big switch in sentiment since the incompetent clown was elected has been the “Independents,” who are against most of his horrible policies. Trump often brags about the economy and jobs, but the momentum for the positive growth is clearly attributed to Obama’s policies.

I don’t know what poll you are referring to but virtually all the polls conducted in 2016, 2017, and currently show that Americans are highly opposed to a stinking border wall, that would accomplish nothing. In fact, the estimated 18 billion dollar down payment on the wall can be used to fund CHIP, the needy and other essential programs.

Chip? Wtf, why is that ” essential”? Havent we got obamacare? Why another .gov healthcare abortion. And i have wanted a wall since reagan, though i believe US army rangers equipped with ground surveillance radar and sniper rifles would end illegal entry permanently and far cheaper. Drop a hundred border jumpers and cover it on the news and problem solved.

Your response is pure BS. Absolutely no justification for a border wall, as no data to support it would lower undocumented entering the US. In fact, the levels of undocumented have fallen over the last several years. A border wall is not needed, the wall, as proposed by Trump, would be very expensive. reroute undocumented in dangerous, perilous areas, and cause severe environmental damage.

We all know the undocumented crime rate in the US is below average, in spite of your attempt to show undocumented as terrorists and killers. Undocumented also contribute to the US economy.

Most unlawful acts and terrorism are caused by home-grown perpetrators. Curious, you didn’t mention the mass killings in Las Vegas and Texas, caused by gun-toting white men. No discussion from conservatives & dictator Trump on gun control, or other measures to control violence. In fact, Trump rescinded Obama’s provision addressing limitations on access to guns of the mentally ill.

Gun control is best learned at the range on an individual basis. The israelis walls work quite well, and at a minimum would send the illegals through more dangerous terrain where hopefully they would experience more casualties. Win win.

The walls -usually fence type of things- some European countries are starting to put up seem to work rather well too.

Hey Junior, ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS (undocumented, as you mislabel them. If I get caught driving your car, can I just claim that I am an undocumented owner?) are a net drain on the US economy.

Bernie doesn’t care he lives 2000 miles from the Mexican border and the weather is Vermont is not what “beaners” prefer. Plus Vincente Fox is his “bumboy”.

Anybody else know how easily Genghis Khan breached China’s “Great Wall”. What is the current status/condition of the greatest “MAN-MADE Wonders of the World”? How about strategically placed military encampments along the Mexican border to patrol a 30-50 mile-wide “free-fire” zone – for “training purposes”, of couse? Any “activity/movement” within said zone is immediately and arbitrarily answered with “lethal force”, withOUT any prior “authorization”. Then, shut down ALL cross-border traffic for 30 days. Which “parties/countries” would then have the most “incentive” to “mitigate/solve” the problem of BOTH migrants AND drugs?
