Don’t you hate it when people generalize?
I am watching this now. It is two hours long and requires a significant commitment but it is not difficult to understand. My point in posting this is to encourage you all to watch this video. It encapsulates why I write on this blog and I think that it encapsulates why many of you write on this blog. Not all, of course, but many of us are frustrated because we feel like we have no power.

You have power. You just need to get off your “Bloody Ass” and do something to make your world a better place. And that’s not just going to the voting booth every four years.
The burning question is, why did God create humans on planet earth?
He didn’t. Earth is a prison planet where immortal life forces are imprisoned inside various meat suits to be reincarnated over and over again into more meat suits until they figure out how to escape and regain their freedom to roam the Universe at will. Religion is just the original deception. Government is the second.
I watched around 40 minutes. Both men appear to be articulate, intelligent, and excellent conversationalists.
Peterson has some interesting perspectives on “logos”, morality, and truth.
I was reminded of Aristotle’s quote:
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, is not an act but a habit.”
I’d heard of Peterson because of the whole pronouns thing here in Canada, but had never seen any of his videos or read much of anything about him. After seeing the Cathy Newman “interview” I was very intrigued, and have since read a lot more. I was shocked that almost everything he espouses has been my own personal philosophy for a long time now, having arrived upon it from personal experience and a great deal of self-reflection, thought, and most importantly, respect for logic and reasoning. We are close to the point of logic being a foreign concept in general society.
