I wonder how many of these DACA people took advantage of the educational system to get educated? The ones that did will be a benefit to the countries they will be sent back to. Their future is solid.
The ones that did nothing to improve themselves will be the ones to suffer. Tough luck they are useless to us and to themselves.

Went to a nice Quinceañera yesterday. Lot of nice kids there, some of them illegal, I’m sure. I hope many of them – the good ones – get to stay, but the activists need to understand that they’re not calling the shots now. We need the border sealed and an end to people sneaking in. We need merit-based immigration, not to get the most dysfunctional people from the most dysfunctional countries. Nice is an understatement. Did you know parents spend somewhere between $10,000 and $40,000 for such an affair? They are usually Mexican nationals and not Americanized Hispanics. I don’t believe in it because (I believe) it has a negative impact on young girls whose parents don’t do this.

Sometimes, the rent really is too damn high, Iska. Trump put out the bait of legalization. The hook is a bill for $25 to $200B. Like those zero interest credit card offers, it’s only for a limited time, then the rate goes to 12 or 29%. Additional hooks include the end of family member sponsorship. This may be simply an opening gambit, nobody would take the bait despite the morons on twitter.
Trump is asking a lot for very little. This is not even amnesty where the purported 11 to 15 million illegals get green cards, these are 1.8 million to be legalized, although the actual number may be a lot less. Schumer wanted to get the DACA approved in exchange for a temporary shutdown. Trump seemed conciliatory, he said just send me a bill and I will sign it. Dealing with Trump is like dealing with the devil. Could you really trust the father of lies enough to make a deal? Now Trump has shifted shape and asks for funding for the wall in exchange for a few DACAs.
What can we make of that? This is no bargain. If he’d offered balnket amnesty in exchange for the wall funding, ok then. Trump has a SOTU speech to make soon and he will highlight the Democrats resistance to his offer, Americans won’t consider the additional spending he is seeking. If you add the wall to the budget, it’s clear why the Democrats agreed to a CR to fund the government til a week after the SOTU.
What we have here is a bunch of snakes in a pit, the DACAs are just pawns:
Trump says, send me a bill, I’ll sign it.
McConnell says, open the government, I’ll introduce an immigration bill
Schumer says, give us DACA and we’ll approve the wall

The wall, end to chain migration and ending the lottery have always been part of Trumps end of the deal.
