But there was something special about him… he was a privileged military brat with a powerful father so he could always make his own rules. He learned how to seek power and brought into every room that quality which prevents almost all criticism… BUT HE WAS A PRISONER OF WAR!!!! He is a PATRIOT!!!
John McCain is an example of why old soldiers are supposed to FADE AWAY. He turned into grasping, bitter selfish old man before our eyes when he could have retired after a couple of terms and lived a good life, remembered for his longsuffering dignity and fine bearing. Instead, I see him snarling and pulling rank on people, treating them with the haughty disdain with which so many officers treated their enlisted swine in the time he, um, served.
I am not sure why he decided to take a stab at Sarah Palin on his way out, but it really seems petty. She has always spoken of him highly, even when he made a giant ass of them both.
EDIT: I crack me up trying to be “incognito” and leaving my image there. Subterfuge is not my forte… I don’t sneak well. When I’m in the room, people tend to know it.

The culmination of his malevolent idiocy for me was when he wanted to take on Russia over their defense of ethnic Russians in South Ossetia. When that dude shoves off, I’m going to crack a beer in celebration. Proud to say I never voted for that fucker.
No, the more he suffers the better. The more his family has to watch his suffering the better. Let him linger for years, but in a state that forces him OUT of the Senate. The suffering of the millions who have died and been mutilated in wars he championed will always far exceed what he is facing…sadly.
