As much as I applaud the customer service shown, if one of my employees left the business and ran down the street I would kick him in the fuck. And likely fire him. It puts me at risk that I cannot control.

I am responsible for employees when they are on the clock. I once had an employee run over while crossing a road. Caught it all on video – the kid flew around 15 yards in the air, and traumatised the lady he ran out in front of permanently. He ended up with brain damage. It was not a good experience. Hence, no one leaves the business grounds while on the clock. If on the clock, they stay on the premises where I have some small chance of controlling what they do.

Lloph, that is another stupid liberal “law”. You did not send him outside, it was not your fault he stepped in front of a car, or she has brain problems. From individuals to nations, we all are having to bear the consequences of Useless Idiots still in power.

Rhs – you are correct. Unfortunately, when I hire them, I end up with legal responsibility for them when they are on the clock, no matter what stupid action they take.

Robots are increasingly popular for some reason.
