San Francisco Logs Over 16,000 Feces Complaints in One Week

Over 16,000 complaints have been logged with the City of San Francisco regarding ‘feces’ in the last seven days.
A website and related app that allows local residents to request maintenance or non-emergency services from the city has received 16,015 complaints with the keyword ‘feces’ in the last week at the time of this writing, and many pertain to human waste in public places.
Additionally, words and phrases synonymous with ‘feces’ are found in thousands more grievances.
Many of the complaints also connect the fecal matter to vagrants and homeless encampments – a sight all too common now across California.
Users can geotag the location in question, and also provide photos to support their claim.
“Homeless encampment is blocking sidewalk and creates a health hazard w trash and feces,” writes one user. “Please move them, and send a cleaning crew. Sidewalk is impassable, forcing pedestrians into the street.”
“Homeless individuals sleeping along Funston between Clement and Geary,” writes another user. “Observed homeless people shooting up at 5pm on Monday, July 2nd. Lots of feces and garbage in the area. Please clean up area and see if homeless individuals need services.”
A local Fox affiliate reported earlier this week about a “big bag of poo” filled with approximately 20 pounds of feces discarded on a San Francisco sidewalk.
Residents filed multiple complaints with the city about the debris, and it was eventually removed.
“Strong smell of feces on post on block between cedar and post,” wrote one denizen. “There must be a ton of it somewhere nearby.”
“We don’t know what it’s from and we’re not going to test it,” said a Department of Public Works spokeswoman. “We just got rid of it. This is very unusual.”
In April, the International Union of Operating Engineers filed a complaint with the California Department of Transportation on behalf of Caltrans workers, alleging that their safety was being jeopardized due to a variety of factors, including human waste produced by vagrants living near freeways and associated property.
“Feces and urine and feminine products and all kinds of things on the ground; needles, syringes – you know they use buckets, five-gallon buckets for toilets, and it gets really disgusting,” said Steve Crouch, Director of Public Employees.

A drunk bum in San Francisco passes out from too much drinking. A horny fag happening to be walking by and decides to take advantage of the passed out bum and gives it to him up the ass. As he leaves he puts a $20 bill in the bum’s pocket. When the bum wakes up he finds the $20 and goes to the store and says, “Give me the largest volume of cheap wine I can get for $20. The bum again passes out, and as luck would have it the homo passes by again and repeats the deed along with leaving another $20. Again the drunk wakes goes to the store and orders the largest volume of cheap wine he can get for the twenty. Again he passes out, and again the fag stops by does his thing and leaves another $20. The Next day the bum wakes up goes to the store and says “Give me a $20 bottle of wine.” The store owner asks why he isn’t ordering a large volume of cheap wine? The bum replied “ That cheap wine be putting a hurt on my ass.”
This has been going on since ‘The Summer of Love’ in 1967. Back then it was Golden Gate Park being overrun with junkies and derelicts. Then mayor Joe Alioto kept them out of downtown but each succeeding mayor ceded more and more ‘space’ to the vagrants and addicts even as, and because, San Francisco real estate became ever more expensive.
I see that a complaint was lodged about derelicts camping out on Funston between Geary and Clement St. Once upon a time this was a pleasant block of middle class homeowners. Not millionaires! If derelicts set up camp on that block and were defecating in their yards it would not have been a political issue. It would have been a homeowner issue.
In working class neighborhoods, back when San Francisco still had working class neighborhoods, a derelict defecating on a homeowners property would have had a 5 gallon bucket of trouble poured on his head that he would never forget!
