QUOTES OF THE DAY

“When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men in a society, over the course of time they create for themselves a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it.”

Bastiat

“Today’s consumer confidence report was noteworthy for the depressed spending intentions. Plans to buy a home fell to a 2-year low; major appliances down to a 3-1/2 year lows; and autos the weakest back-to-back showing in over 5 years. Consumers are telling us they’re tapped out.”

David Rosenberg

“It’s absolutely the height of fiscal irresponsibility to have had the government expand the budget deficit by 22% this past year at a time of full-employment. Pro-cyclical stimulus at this stage of the cycle will go down in history as one of the most boneheaded policy moves ever.”

“Consumers are telling us they’re tapped out.”

Admin, is the larger article from Rosenberg worthy of it’s own post? or a link to it?
I’m intrigued.
The one from Freddy is spot on, but all who come here are well aware of that disgusting thievery.
Bastards.

After one buys a car and they have to pay on it for 6 yrs after awhile there are few people to sell to. So then they cry because no one is buying The Gov’t prints money out of nothing and what took a few yrs to pay for now takes 6 one never gets ahead, It at one time one could retire on a nest egg 100,000 now you must have 500,000. This country is done rather one believes that or not is not really the case we are lead by liars cheats and rather one believes it or not it’s just getting worse, every city or town is broke just like the Gov’t. This USA would rather give billions away to low life nasty people that have no right to be here then help those on SS. At one time a good job payed 300 a wk now that job must pay 1800 to be the same so someone tell me now it’s going to get better
