Not politically correct but the reality is anyone working for a large US company unrelated to fashions or cosmetics that is headed by a woman has no job security.
Here is a short list of recent female CEO’s and their companies.
Mary Barra- GM
Gina Rometty- IBM
Ursula Burns- Xerox ( she’s a two fer )
Marissa Meyers= Yahoo
Indra Nooyi- Pepsi ( not a failure as Pepsi didn’t cut jobs)
Lyn Good- Duke Energy ( hard to screw up an electric utility)
Geisha Williams- PG&E ( except she seems to have done just that)
Interesting that both Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics the largest two military contractors both have female CEO’s. Since these two companies do most of their business with the government they do not have to be that ‘competitive’ or make products people have a choice to buy or not.
