Trump’s Neocons Reverse His Syria Withdrawal Plan

Guest Post by Ron Paul

I’m starting to wonder whether President Trump has any power over US foreign policy at all. Many people believe that the US president is just a figurehead, with actual foreign policy firmly in the hands of the deep state. Trump’s latest dramatic U-turn on pulling troops from Syria certainly feeds such theories.

When President Trump announced just a couple of weeks ago that the US was removing its troops from Syria and possibly reducing troops from Afghanistan, the neocons, the media, the military-industrial complex, and the left-wing “never-Trump” people were livid. They were silent when President Obama made the horrible decision to overthrow Assad in Syria and sent weapons to jihadists to do so. They never said a word when billions of dollars were committed to this immoral and dangerous “regime change” policy. They weren’t interested in the rule of law when President Obama thumbed his nose at Congress and sent troops into Syria.

But when President Trump declared the obvious – that ISIS was effectively defeated and that we had no business being in Syria – these above groups in unison declared that actually bringing US troops home was a “gift to Russia.” They said bringing US troops home would create instability in the regions they left. Well, is there any proof that occupation by US troops actually brings stability?

No sooner did President Trump announce our departure than his neocon advisors began walking his words back. First he had to endure a lunch with Sen. Lindsey Graham reading him the riot act, where, according to the Senator, Trump agreed to no timetables for departure. Then his National Security Advisor, John Bolton, and his Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, began to tell the world that President Trump’s statements on troop pullout were just empty words, not US policy.

While Syrian Christians newly liberated from the rule of US-backed extremists celebrated Christmas for the first time in years, John Bolton dusted off the old warning to Assad that the US would attack if he “again” gassed his people. With the Syrian president personally taking part in some of the Christmas celebrations, does anybody really believe he’d go back to his office and order a gas attack?

Bolton then claimed that the US would shift troops from Syria to Iraq to continue fighting ISIS and that the US fully backs Israeli airstrikes on Syrian territory. Did President Trump even agree to any of this?

Even worse, Secretary of State Pompeo is embarking on a Middle East tour where he will essentially tell leaders in the region that the US president is a liar. According to one State Department official quoted in a report on Sunday, Pompeo’s message to the Middle East will be, “Despite reports to the contrary and false narratives surrounding the Syria decision, we are not going anywhere. The secretary will reinforce that commitment to the region and our partners.”

Calling the US president’s actual words on Syria “false narratives”? How is this not insubordination?

Will President Trump stand by and watch this coup taking place under his nose? Does he realize how his credibility suffers when he boldly announces a US withdrawal and the does a U-turn days later? Has he noticed recent polls showing that the majority of the American people agree with him? Why is he so intimidated by the neocons?

It sure seems like the war advocates are running the asylum. And/or Trump just can’t make up his mind and then stick to one plan. There is also the possibility that he’s allowing people like Lindsey Graham to make their support of the shutdown-for-Wall contingent upon keeping troops in Syria. Also, since Ginsburg is hopefully at death’s door, there could be a need to placate the neocons so that they play ball on the confirmation of her replacement.

Actually, it’s what he does. Applies maximum pressure, and then deals with the fallout. Let’s see what happens over the next 6 months. Because everyone who opposes his pullout, now has to rethink their objectives. Because staying there forever the way we are now is not on the table anymore. Let’s see if he declares a National Emergency this week and sends the military to build the wall. There’s method to his madness for sure

I like that, it’s reassuring.

Military folk are always assessing objectives. They’re objective-obsessed and certainly having a prime objective snatched from them is disturbing. Maybe a time to rethink things.

I hope there’s something enduring in your supposition; Trump Tzu’s mad methods force balky Brigadiers to bolt into a dead-end canyon, becoming compost.

Who will replace the Neocons caught in the next Tweet massacre?

Don’t let Satan’s Minions replace NeoCons with more of the same (Matt 12:45) and become seven times worse off. There are many Non-NeoCons (like Daniel and David) who would serve God and Country who could help the president and nation seven times over.

My 2 cents worth is that the Orange Crusader just negotiated himself a deal. So he blurts out the decision to pull the troops out knowing the neorats and their amen corner in the press will howl like stuck pigs. He gets mattis to shove off ridding him of that unnecessary baggage. Then behind closed doors he cuts a deal that works for him. So the saps can claim that at least he tried, the mic rolls along unabated and he gets, what? A payout? A pardon? A loan guarantee? Just how do these ex presidents wind up with so much dough? They play the game, just like John Perkins outlined in Confessions of an Economic Hitman.

Now all he needs to do is ‘negotiate’ for the (fucking) wall. It’s all such a goddam farce.

John Perkins “Confessions of an Economic Hit Man” should be required reading in the 3rd grade.

Perhaps then, our children wouldn’t be brainwashed to die for the Empire.

Caitlin Johnstone has a new article today along similar lines; “Reasons To Believe In Trump’s Syria Withdrawal Are Vanishing”

Stucky, I searched “Is Trump a NWO Puppet” and so many serious articles have been written about that, that I fear for our nation. On the one hand the DNC Democrat Party is a Front for the Communist, and on the other hand the GOP Republican Party is a front for the NWO. Trump speaks like a Populist and acts like a Puppet.

Look at the timing of it all. The banksters were killing the stock market, so Trump said we’d pull out of Syria. It was a bluff to get them off the Dealmaster’s monetary dick, and it worked. They’ve now taken their foot off the throat of the market, so we’re going to stick around in Syria a bit. Art of the Deal, baby.

Because you will call me a racist no matter what..

TC,
Your comment is one of very few that seem to get what is really going on. Although ccrider is a close second! We are watching a cosmic coup take place within our nation. The stuff history books are made of. The winner writes the history. If we win we may have a shot at really seeing just how bad shit is. If we lose, never will know. I challenge everyone here to take the cue from TC AND WRITE DOWN daily the news headlines. Categorize them. Stock mkt, military, etc. Then sit back and watch what plays out over every 6 month period and you will find a pattern just as TC has brilliantly or accidentally done. I have done this in playing politics and business for 20 years and have folders fully stuffed. I will soon be writing a book about how to see these things well in advance. Simply by paying attention to what people do, the action they take and not falling for the bullshit dripping from their mouths. When my company leaders tell me they are making changes to territories, products etc etc i write down everything they say over 5-6 months then see what happened. every fuckin time the employees get wiped out but should have seen it if they stopped listening to words and starting seeing the actions. Every time…..next up, trump declares presidential emergency at border and uses miltary budget. The idea of a wall scares the shit outta dems because it works. It stops the drugs the cashflow the pedos bring kids the whores and new voters. Thats why you hear the dems talk border security vs a wall. They want catch and release so they can allow amnesty and daca. If they cannot get here and be release because of a damned 30 foot wall it fucks up their agenda. Like the words “gun” violence. You never hear about “fist” violence when a man beats his wife, or “car” violence when some uses a car to maime. The dems change the narrative right in front of you. Did any of you catch them doing that with “border security” vs “wall”. Now trump is using their terms. HE will take the bullshit win by spinning it as getting $5B for “border security” and not a wall. I fuckin guarantee this. $5b has been the catch phrase as they both use the new narrative of border security language. Pay attention sheeple.

The Jewish NeoCons along with the Jewish Fake MSM, the Jewish banksters who own the Fed and Jewish Hollywood cesspool must be totally destroyed and expunged from America. Zionists, Marxists, NeoCons, globalists…they come in many different forms but have one objective which is the destruction of the European people and Christian Western Civilization.

What about them owning a national championship football game, censorship and charging Americans to view it? Don’t players feel like gladiators and slaves and the rest of us feel like serfs on Parchment Farms being bled?
