2019 is Breaking All Records for Cold – The Real Threat is a Global Freeze

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

This type of climate change has the potential to be very profound. 2019 is already setting new records for cold and snowfall. In the center of the USA, the snowfall has risen to more than double that of 2000. There are many influences it has produced historically and the summer crop seasons grow shorter and dryer. Historically, this results in starvation in some areas but primarily malnutrition. That sets the stage for the rise of disease and plagues.

The Black Death was preceded by the Wolf Global Cooling where temperatures dropped by nearly 20% from the Medieval Warming period. As temperatures decline, the crop cycle shortens. In fact, so many people died during the 1300s that this brought an end to feudalism because there was a shortage of labor.

The Little Ice Age followed the Wolf Global Cooling. We can see that the price of wheat began to break out in 1545. Keep in mind that our model was created by pulling in everything we could get our hands on and correlating the entire world. When our model is showing Global Cooling and a pending bull market in the price of food, it is something rather important enough to put on the agenda. During the 1700s, even Thomas Jefferson and John Adams commented on how the ground froze to a depth of 2 feet. Nothing will grow under such conditions.

There are two long-term solar cycles that are responsible for the “ice ages” (solar minimum) and “warming periods” (solar maximum) throughout the “life cycle” of the earth.
These two cycles, when in phase, reinforce each other, whether they are in a cooling or warming period. When they are “out of phase”, they moderate the sun’s solar output.
It turns out that these two cycles are now “in phase” and we are in a “cooling period”–a solar minimum.

Unfortunately for city dwellers it is not just an odd year but the start of the Eddy Minimum mini-Ice Age that will probably last 30 years as scientist like John Casey and Robert Felix have been warning people to prepare for for decades. If you are a Leftist play thing who believes liberal’s lies, your Global Warming play period is over.

We are really fucked, here in Minneapolis. There’s nowhere to put the fucking snow! Today 3/3/19 the high is going to be -1 and the low tonight -9. It’s been snowing twice a week. Starts at about 11:00 am and ends at 6:00 PM. Makes the commute home horrible – like 2 hrs.

I wonder what people are paying on their heating bills? And how many people can even make it to work. It must be hitting the economy very hard.

Mark,

I have 2, 3, 5, and 6. Excellent information. Strongly recommend to anyone who is trying to prepare.

You might look at: https://extension.umn.edu/growing-systems/deep-winter-greenhouses.

Planning to build one of these next summer. I will cheat and provide a supplemental/back-up wood stove.

Check Six,

Yea, I’m convinced. Remember the author of Cold Times said after the winter of 2020/21 everyone will realize what is really coming. Throw in what ever the hell is going to happen after the election of 2020 and I’m prepping in HIGH GEAR.

Thanks for the link, looks intriguing.

I have just built my first two Cold Frames with wood from an old playground and plexiglas and will build three more soon. I have a small traditional greenhouse built two years ago been rounding the learning curve on using it.

I’m building a second house in June, lots of land to clear (if it ever stops raining here – I’m in NC we have had 8” in just the last week much, much more all winter) incorporating a pitched roof, serious insulation, solar, wood burning stove in the basement and looking at any other Solar Minimum design features I can find.

Makes you wonder if someone will stop these idiots at Harvard who want to increase cooling. Spraying the skies with crap that isn’t good for you. I believe they will cause more harm than good.

He is dead-on and people will ignore the evidence at their own peril. Plant in the short- to mid-term with the understanding that your USDA Zone could be one less. Rainier winters in the South, colder in the North, and short, dry summers.

confederation,
one of the guys posted awhile back that even in areas that don’t freeze lack of water will be a big problem because of lower rainfall–
have you heard that?

i check the weather everyday using weather.com–they are leftist but free–
i saw this story so i clicked–
they are trying to tell people how much their property values have gone down because of climate change–
note that all locations are on the east coast–
