US women’s soccer co-captain Megan Rapinoe has accepted an invitation to visit the House of Representatives by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) following a public spat with President Trump.
“It may not be the White House, but we’d be happy to welcome @mPinoe & the entire #USWMNT for a tour of the House of Representatives anytime they’d like,” tweeted Ocasio-Cortez following the US’s 2-1 win over France.
“Consider it done,” replied the 33-year-old Rapinoe.

In an interview recorded in January but recently released, Rapinoe said “I’m not going to the f—ing White House,” adding “‘No, I’m not going to the White House. We’re not going to be invited. I doubt it.”
President Trump responded to her comments, tweeting “leagues and teams love coming to the White House. I am a big fan of the American Team, and Women’s Soccer, but Megan should WIN first before she TALKS!.”

When the young females in your family play sports, of course, you support them. The majority don’t go on to play in the professional women’s sports leagues.
