QUOTES OF THE DAY

“To reduce a complex argument to its bare bones, since the Depression, the twin forces of managed democracy and Superpower have opened the way for something new under the sun: ‘inverted totalitarianism,’ a form every bit as totalistic as the classical version but one based on internalized co-optation, the appearance of freedom, political disengagement rather than mass mobilization, and relying more on “private media” than on public agencies to disseminate propaganda that reinforces the official version of events.

It is inverted because it does not require the use of coercion, police power and a messianic ideology as in the Nazi, Fascist and Stalinist versions (although note that the United States has the highest percentage of its citizens in prison — 751 per 100,000 people — of any nation on Earth). According to Wolin, inverted totalitarianism has ’emerged imperceptibly, unpremeditatedly, and in seeming unbroken continuity with the nation’s political traditions.’

The main objectives of managed democracy are to increase the profits of large corporations, dismantle the institutions of social democracy (Social Security, unions, welfare, public health services, public housing and so forth), and roll back the social and political ideals of the New Deal. Its primary tool is privatization [and deregulation].

“It is inverted because it does not require the use of coercion, police power and a messianic ideology as in the Nazi, Fascist and Stalinist versions…”

I cannot think of any comment on this phenomenon that is further from the mark than this. There is far more coercion in our current social totalitarianism than any system in the past, at every level, starting in pre-school with LGBT indoctrination and the shaming of anyone and any idea that strays from the party line. It’s one thing to be fearful of your government, quite another to have to walk on eggshells whenever you leave your own home. And as we’ve seen with groups like Antifa, the police- when ordered by their mayors- deliberately ignore their violent acts against others and then the press blames the victims for having an unacceptable ideology simply for being targets of their pet project.

We are living more in a stealth totalitarianism than anything else, making it look like these draconian policies are the direct result of the public demand rather than having these behaviors planted and then reinforced by The State.

Yep everything is completely controlled to a level far beyond what the soviets could ever dream up.

From wikipedia: “At around 1:45 p.m., self-identified white supremacist James Alex Fields Jr. deliberately rammed his car into a crowd of counter-protesters about 0.5 miles (0.8 km) away from the rally site, killing Heather Heyer and injuring 19 other people.”

The bitch died of a fucking heart attack because she is a fat disgusting unhealthy blob who was a literal ticking timebomb, the car didn’t even hit her. Her lifestyle literaly did more violence to him than he ever did to her, simply by forcing him to pay a share of her no doubt obscene healthcare expenses.

and I’m not even going to comment on what I would do if I was in a car surrounded by a bunch of people who wanted to break in and rip me out and try to kill me.

And this is not to say he wasn’t a complete jackass either. Anyone who displays swastikas is doing it for one reason only: to say “I want you to get violent” that is all a swastika symbolizes these days. Should it be that way? No, a swastika predates nazi germany, but such is the power of symbols, they can contain more power than anyone gives them credit for which is something I’ve tried to hammer out over and over.

In congruence with HSF’s post– I also have issue with something else in this piece. The author is clearly a “democratic socialism” pundit.
The final paragraph is total BS, “The main objectives of managed democracy are to increase the profits of large corporations, dismantle the institutions of social democracy (Social Security, unions, welfare, public health services, public housing and so forth), and roll back the social and political ideals of the New Deal. Its primary tool is privatization [and deregulation].”
The only part of that with a semblance of accuracy is “to increase profits ( and power/control) of large corporations…..”
We are a republic, not a social democracy and the tools of the New Deal and their subsequent mounds of regulations are the very restraints which have saddled the public and empowered the corporate oligarchs.

It should blatantly obvious to anyone with a modest ability to think and reason independently that you can never believe anything our government reps at all levels and the overwhelming majority of what attempts to pass itself off as journalists tells us “NOTHING”

Kevin Paul had an article on RI from Zero Hedge about the 4 Industrial complexes just as evil as the MIC that Ike warned us about. Fits right in with this article and Farmers Coercion reply. Even in a backward conservative town in western Mt. the coercion gets on your clothes like morning dew.

The terms authoritarian and totalitarian are not synonyms; they are not interchangeable: These words do not mean the same thing.

Authoritarian regimes care about what you do. You misbehave badly enough, and you are shot for it. Nobody cares what you are thinking: Why you did something is largely irrelevant.

Totalitarian regimes care about what you think – this is why political prisoners in Bolshevik prisons were tortured into the insanity of ‘loving the State’ before being executed (as Winston Smith was in 1984). Still happening today in China. Thought crime is a real thing in these governments: Why you did something is more important than whatever was done. This is why AntiFA loses their minds when people disagree with whatever lunacy they are currently espousing.

Now, why would the Jew Sheldon Wolin muddy the water here? Why are the communists so eager to falsely conflate communism and fascism? What might their motive be?

https://muse.jhu.edu/article/621757/pdf

Fascism is the only political doctrine which has ever successfully fought off communism, and the communists fear its resurgence with an unhinged terror which intrudes fully into the realm of insanity.

So when you see someone conflating fascism and communism, understand who they serve and why they do it.
