Because I always wanted to tinker and see what I liked and disliked, what worked and didn’t work, etc. Never really cared about money, TBH. I’ve always been interested in how shit worked. And I knew that VA was going to shit and if I didn’t get out, the black hole of Washington would keep me there. Some of the systems I built up there were really fun and probably saved a damn lot of lives, which makes me proud.
Everything I’ve ever started I get bored with once I feel I’ve reached the end of where I was going. It drives my wife nuts. This time really is different though, with the Agri LLC. I’m not doing it for the money, but my wife sees the business model with it so I let her drive the financial angle. It can be very lucrative, what I am doing right now. But I just do it to prove it can be done in middle TN when old school orchardists and traditional farmers said it couldn’t.
I’m satisfied with the sole title of victor. I win, “they” lose, every time…not because I am smarter, but because I am the most pig-headed son of a bitch you will ever meet. My wife says I am a junkyard dog, which I suppose is true. Not sure if that’s good or bad, but God made me that way for whatever reason. 🙂
Everyone else can make their money and I’ll just be happy with teaching them how I got whatever it is I’m doing to work.

Nope, forgot about it but decided I wanted to piss my pants last night. I can’t speak for most men, but I know This Guy is happiest solving complex problems. I think it’s the race to a solution and the accomplishment (or is it relief) that I feel. Reminds me of the Martian where the protagonist says that you solve one problem after another, and once you’ve solved enough problems, you get to go home.
