My favorite books of 2019, many of which were recommended here – thanks guys!
Mortimer Adler – “How to Read a Book” – wish I would have read this 30 years ago.
Donald Day – “Onward Christian Soldiers” – amazing narrative of Eastern Europe between the World Wars
Benjamin Franklin’s autobiography – virtues, perseverance, frugality.
Henry Hazlitt – “Thinking as a Science” – great follow to Adler
John Stuart Mill – “On Liberty” – white guy libertarian manifesto
Wallace Wattles – “The Science of Being Great” – believe in yourself. Great companion to “Think and Grow Rich”
Allison Weir – “Against Our Better Judgement” – foundation of the modern state of Israel
Bento Bradbery – “The Myth of German Villainy” – encapsulates many references into one. Profound read.
Robert Griffin – “Fame of a Dead Man’s Deeds” – story of Dr. William Luther Pierce
James Bacque – “Other Losses” – tragedy of allied genocide of Germans after WWII
Thomas Chittum – “Civil War 2” – pretty prophetic; many predictions have come true already.
E. Michael Jones – “Libido Dominandi” – sexual liberation as a form of control. Profound.
Revilo Oliver – “The Jewish Strategy” – what an erudite writer, so much said in few pages.
Revilo Oliver – “America’s Decline” – if you had to pick one, this would be it. All normies should start HERE.
Stephen Goodson – “A History of Central Banking and the Enslavement of Mankind” – another great read that doesn’t pull any punches
David Kupelian – “The Marketing of Evil” – although he deftly avoids naming who is behind the problems, this covers a lot of ground and is very worthwhile
Revilo Oliver – “The Enemy of Our Enemies” – critique of Yockey with fantastic references
Eustace Mullins – “The Secrets of the Federal Reserve” – great companion to Griffin’s famous work.
Abir Taha – “Nietzsche, Prophet of Nazism” – jumps to some conclusions, but otherwise very insightful
Will Durant – “The Story of Philosophy” – about halfway through this, but wow great review.
Ok, I am going to seriously age myself here. In the summer of 1980, out of high school, and getting ready to attend Bates College, I got an initial assignment from the school. Read “On Liberty” by John Stuart Mill. I did. And enjoyed it. Imagine a liberal arts college giving that assignment today!!! It would be a fucking hate crime!!
Wet behind the ears whipper-snapper.
Admin, did you forget to card CO2?
Everyone knows of Mises, Rothbard and Hayek but who knew Mill had crystallized Libertarian thought in the mid 1800’s!?!? It’s a great read. Why doesn’t Mill get any credit? But yeah, it would never get assigned today.
Did you go on to receive a Masters from Bates?
No, I went on to the 6 year three school party plan. And Excelled.
Imperium by Ulick Varange (Francis Parker Yockey)
“The Most Dangerous Superstition” by Larken Rose.
Plenty of other great books to read, but everyone should make sure they read this one….and share.
I have read this twice. My wife and brother-in-law loved it after I gave it to them.
A captivating, rich, historical novel of a fascinating time, culture, and man.
Let me tell you, Tecumseh was a bad ass.
“The Count of Monte Cristo” by Alexandre Dumas
“Hotel USSR, Memoirs of a Soviet Non-Artist” by Oleg Atbashian
“The Puzzle Palace” by James Bamford, and his subsequent work “Body of Secrets”.
Meditations, The Art of War, The Prince, The Theory of Moral Sentiments, Two Treatises of Government and a Letter Concerning Toleration, Democracy in America, A Tale of Two Cities, The Grapes of Wrath, Fahrenheit 451.
Buffalo for the Broken Heart. A wrenching story of a struggling cattleman who turned to a few orphaned bison to save his ranch and learned far more about nature and life than he ever expected. https://wildideabuffalo.com/collections/books-by-dan-obrien/products/buffalo-for-the-broken-heart
Here’s an inspiring book, an almost Arthurian modern fantasy about people beginning to fight back:
