I have an on the ground TBP correspondent at the Trump Rally in Wildwood today. After a hectic birthday weekend in NYC where we thought it was funny watching the impeachment hearings while sitting at the Trump Bar in Trump Tower, Avalon and her two best friends headed to Wildwood last night to observe the pandemonium surrounding a Trump rally.
There is an unfounded rumor going around that the only reason they were going was to see Billy Jack at the Shamrock. Billy Jack is a big time Trump supporter and always announces The Burning Platform to the audience while on stage.
It seems they ran into a famous person while drinking heavily at the Shamrock last night. And there is absolutely no truth to the rumor they closed the place at 3:00 am.
How Avalon was able to get up in time to take a picture of the sunrise from their hotel room is a mystery. The January hotel rates in Wildwood are around $100 per night, because no one goes to Wildwood in January. I tip my hat to these hotel owners. They could have gouged the public and tripled their rates. Instead they kept them at $100.
This unexpected windfall for bars, restaurants and stores is the best part of Trump holding a rally in Wildwood.
People have been lining up for the last two days, as they have given out 175,000 tickets to a venue that holds 7,000. Avalon has three tickets, but prefers to enjoy the local cuisine and beverages, rather than sleep in a tent on the boardwalk in 30 degree weather.

I have never seen crowds for a politician anywhere near this size. Perhaps Kennedy, maybe someone can verify, but seeing this is a first for me.
I have heard that Trump is this popular outside of the US as well.
It is little wonder he is so despised by his political opponents, what they wouldn’t give for a fraction of this attendance.
Think of the example Congressman Jeff Van Drew has set for every other Congress critter. He switched parties a couple of weeks back, Trump paid him back with this rally, and look how this thing blew up. Think he’s going to get re-elected? This isn’t to see the Rolling Stones, this is to listen to a politician speak. Outstanding job, New Jersey.

Too bad NJ is a rock-solid blue state, although in 2016, Hillary Clinton got 2,148,278 votes (55.45%) vs. 1,601,933 votes for Donald Trump (41.35%). I would thought it was far more lopsided; I speculate a lot of people didn’t vote.
