High-Income Taxpayers Now Confronted At Home By IRS Agents

Submitted by Hardscrabble Farmer

The IRS announced Wednesday that it would increase at-home visitations to high-income taxpayers who haven’t filed tax returns on time.

Remember when the IRS under the Obama administration targeted conservative groups? Now it appears this anti-wealth attitude extends to anyone earning over $100,000 that hasn’t filed a return since 2018 or prior years.

During an at-home visit, IRS agents will inform the non-compliant taxpayer how to file returns and show them a pathway of regaining compliant status.

Uncle Sam wants his goddamn money!

“The IRS is committed to fairness in the tax system, and we want to remind people across all income categories that they need to file their taxes,” said Paul Mamo, Director of Collection Operations, Small Business/Self Employed Division. “These visits focusing on high-income taxpayers will be taking place across the country.”

Visitations have already started this month and will continue through March for severe cases of high-income taxpayers not filing.

In the last year, the agency started aggressively targeting low-income families who neglected to pay their taxes. These struggling folks in the “greatest economy ever” are barely surviving on depressed wages, insurmountable debts, and soaring housing and healthcare inflation, have no money left over to pay taxes.

If you’re rich or poor and haven’t paid your taxes in the last several years, watch out because Big Brother is now dispatching its agents to hunt you down.

And in case an agent confronts a non-compliant taxpayer – they will offer several options if the tax bill cannot be paid in full, such as a payment plan. But if a non-compliant taxpayer declines to pay, the IRS will inform the individual that they will pursue them in court.

Land of the free? Not when it comes to debt…

And here’s the most bizarre move the IRS made before they launched a massive campaign across the country to confront rich and poor non-compliant taxpayers. The agency bought 5,000 guns, some automatic weapons, and 5 million rounds of ammunition.

“Among the agencies being supplied with night-vision equipment, body armor, hollow-point bullets, shotguns, drones, assault rifles, and LP gas cannons are the Smithsonian, U.S. Mint, Health and Human Services, IRS, FDA, Small Business Administration, Social Security Administration, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Education Department, Energy Department, Bureau of Engraving and Printing and an assortment of public universities,” said john Whitehead via The Rutherford Institute.

The militarization of the IRS?

Seriously, why do IRS agents need AR-15 rifles?  To collect all the money that is owed, of course!

Things are not so “peachy” under the covers. There are MILLIONS of people struggling to make ends meet.

Oh, and BTW, since when is $100k “high earning”? If it’s a single income family, you’re barely squeaking by if you live in a modestly large city.

Get the facts! Democrats feel a family of 4 with family income for two earners at $57,000 is wealthy. Look it up. But they do a good job of creating a narrative to make the people they are taxing to vote for a new higher tax on themselves by negative narratives of billionaires and their hate for them. Makes you assume when they use words like wealthy thats who they speak of…..nope you moron. They want your money with the tax you just agreed to….

And the fun is just beginning!! The IRS goes after this subset of American taxpayers because they are stable and easily cowed, and they might actually have some money. The REAL tax avoidance is in the off-the-boks lower/middle end, but that cohort is too spread out to collect from. And there are too many black and brown people who get ALL their income off the books, and collecting from them would be racist.

The solution they will offer (a way to avoid armed raids) is a cashless exchange system. A seamless means of surveilling every financial transaction, and seizing Big Brother’s share of each one. Send your kid 5 bucks fr allowance? Ding. Slip a c-note to your neighbor for new brakes on the jalopy? Ding. Buy a trinket at a flea market and sell it at a garag sale? Ding. Of course all salary income will be ding-dinged.

There you go, no need for armed thieves. We will just be in prison all the time. Great!! The Big Government way to a less violent society!!

The saving grace of the next economic crash will shoe in a digital currency so they can tax every micro transaction. They will make barter illegal with heavy fines and jail time putting fear into people you do not know as well as the same as calling someone a witch! I saw him barter! I saw her witchcraft! Neighbor will turn on neighbor. Between high inflation and digital currency we can now increase the fed deficit to 60trillion from 24t. Because they know they can get it back with inflation and digi-currency.

Only the very rich, corporations and labor unions can afford to buy politicians so they get favorable tax laws. The rest of us, just pony up the money or lose everything to the IRS.

If you make 100k on the books, you have probably already had a majority of you income taken from the paycheck, so this is going after the folks who own their own business and are the required to pay quarterly.

let me know when we can claim that we made zero profit from our lives, and then we can pay zero taxes, like Amazon.

in NY, if you own a small business, they audit you every 3 years, and they will always find something wrong, and make you pay for the service of having them audit you. They never walk away and find nothing.

there are 62 counties in NY and each one has a different sales tax rate (7-8%), so as a business who sell on the web, it is your responsibility to keep track of each one (down to the penny), and prove you collected the correct tax (your accountant will not figure this out for you) this alone will guarantee that you fail your audit.

Banks get free money from the fed. Corps pay no income taxes. And when corps cheat, steal, commit fraud and break the law nobody goes to jail. Yet irs claims corps are people.

You, you must pay the taxes little sheeple slaves!

I’ve told this story before, but I worked with a guy who just stopped filing tax returns probably 15 years ago and hasn’t gone to jail. He claims that where they get people like Wesley Snipes is filing a return that’s knowingly wrong. They hounded him for a couple years with strong letters, default judgements, etc. but never came with handcuffs. They do periodically sweep any and all of his financial accounts about every 6 months, so he can’t save or keep any money in “the system.” He’s single with no family and mostly lives like a hermit. A few years back I asked him if he found some secret catch to the law, and he said “no” that rather he was just too small of a peanut for them to bother with. YMMV.

Wesley Snipes is an actor and I always wondered how staged his legal troubles were.

Lots of fakery and fake shit going on.

We know which famous quote you refer to, but I like this one:

The strength or weakness of a society depends more on the level of its spiritual life than on its level of industrialization. Neither a market economy nor even general abundance constitutes the crowning achievement of human life. If a nation’s spiritual energies have been exhausted, it will not be saved from collapse by the most perfect government structure or by any industrial development. A tree with a rotten core cannot stand.

Or this one aimed at Bernie Bro’s:
I hope that no one present will suspect me of offering my personal criticism of the Western system to present socialism as an alternative. Having experienced applied socialism in a country where the alternative has been realized, I certainly will not speak for it. The well-known Soviet mathematician Shafarevich, a member of the Soviet Academy of Science, has written a brilliant book under the title Socialism; it is a profound analysis showing that socialism of any type and shade leads to a total destruction of the human spirit and to a leveling of mankind into death.

Have a friend who was a “retail” day trader-meaning he did not qualify for “mark-to-market” status that makes tax accounting of thousands of trades a lot easier. One year, being that he no longer worked and needed to pay estimated income taxes-which he did and was cautious in that he overpaid each and every periodic payment-his IRS account had an excess, so he would be due a refund whenever he filed. A lot of foot dragging went on and he never heard from IRS, even 12 months after the October deadline allowed by filing a late filing form. He finally called IRS and actually found what seemed to be a knowledgeble who explained that there is not a legally defined deadline for filing in the case of an overpayment with refund due.

Not sure if that claim was wholly accurate or not. Anyone out there have an opinion or knows what the rules say?

Correct. If you have a refund coming you have no deadlines to file for that year…..they are happy to hold your money until you politely ask for it. But your try that shit with them and hold theirs they bust yo door in….bitches.

It is really very simple. There are too few rich to eat on a sustainable level. And they have a nasty habit of leaving the areas where they are getting eaten.

As a result, any politician that says “eat the rich” really means eat the middle class, aas they are numerous, and it is where the money will ultimately have to come from.

The Bern knows this, too, and he also would not be unaware of how Cuba, his golden example of socialist success, has devoured the rich and only has the poor left to eat now.
