THE SUN ALSO RISES

You can tell we didn’t go to the Shamrock last night, because we were on the beach at 5:30 am for the sunrise over the Atlantic. Surprisingly, there were hundreds of others on the beach too.

Some positive observations. There were thousands of people on the beach yesterday and I didn’t see one face diaper. There were thousands of people on the boardwalk last night. Approximately 10% had face muzzles. In Wildwood, this fake pandemic is being taken with a grain of salt.

Remember, you only have a 99.97% chance of survival.

Jim Bob, are you going soft on us? Pretty pictures of sunrise on the beach? What happened to the manly drinking stories from your favorite saloon there in Wildwood? What’s next, pictures of the 🙂 in the foam on your Frappuccino? This place is doomed. ?

That’s so heartening. Visiting family in RI yesterday everyone was wearing one. It was friggen demoralizing.

As of 5 PM yesterday, North Carolina made masks mandatory. As there are no guide lines, I have made mine in the bandanna style out of a piece of an old sheer curtain. Kind of looks like a belly dance veil without the beadwork.

I went to workout this am and we are supposed to wear one in the facility now like the staff. I swim there daily and the water is soaked with chlorine. Someone has to explain why wearing one makes a hill of beans when you walk maybe 60 feet into the locker room and then to the pool / whirlpool. This is a control measure plain and simple. Now compare this to the COVID parties by the gang bangers and the “orders of magnitude” failure to report the proper numbers in Florida and now Cali……

Especially when the news articles concerning these mask failure comes from British news and one this am from Macau………seriously……

The half life of a virus is a few seconds in a properly chlorinated pool.
If the pH of the water is above 7.4 the added calcium hypochlorite oxidizes and effectively kills any small floating organics. The docs told me to stop swimming regularly in heated indoor pools because the chlorinated water contributed to ear aches.
One of the SAFEST places you can be is an empty beach during mid-summer in the sunshine. The salt spray and sun is good for you and bad for the bug.

Hope you enjoyed the beach Mr. Quinn.

If I can find some elastic I’m going to use tulle or cheesecloth. Tulle is kinda scratchy.

That said, I’m making it so it hangs on me with a string and only putting it on if someone is hassling me. I think I’ll take a picture of my box of surgical masks that says it doesn’t protect from viruses.

Years ago I had a macho mesh top that was great to wear when outside working hard in very humid weather. After that I got married and occasionally the ex would put the thing on half way between dinner and lights out. It’s still around here in some storage box-going to turn it into a mask. Wondering if the new mask laws are silent about re-purposing materials?

Mary- I noticed Admin called the face diapers muzzles which is becoming a term used on blogs these days, so I was thinking that it would be a real statement to put a strip of white fabric dead center of these masks and write MUZZLE or STATE MUZZLE with a sharpie in protest. I think it would become a trend and people would certainly create other messages to wear on these muzzles.

I live in eastern NC and I’m not going to wear the face diaper. It’s an illegal mandate and if they don’t want my money that’s ok with me. What are they going to do? Arrest me? No, they won’t do jack. I don’t go to Wal-Mart anyway, and so far Lidl hasn’t said a word. 99% of the face diapers are completely worthless and they can take their wimpy virtue signaling and shove it.

I thought about making a mask covered with yellow stars but figure it will be too complicated for the brain dead to understand.

Remember, they mandate wearing a mask but they don’t exactly specify that it has to cover your nose and mouth.

This has been my experience over here as well, in most locations, and pretty much at all local events. It’s like two worlds: Reality versus what we see on TV.

And, by the way, I’ve decided I am done with Drudge going forward. That site can (figuratively) go f*ck itself. Not sure how it became The Huffington Post 2, but its assimilation into The Borg can no longer be denied. My time will be better spent elsewhere, anyway.

Speaking of the HuffPo which is now owned by Verizon (also own Yahoo fake news) I got so pissed at their bullshit and twisted fakery I sold all my Verizon stock last Friday. Sold AT&T as well. Fuque these phone companies, their shitty cable channels and communist “news” reporting. VZ and T haven’t budged but I am up nicely where I redeployed my capital. BRK-B, DFS, SLV, IAU.

Two weekends back we were in the Shitcago suburbs to visit relatives. My wife’s brothers and sister and her Mother and our nieces and nephews etc. They all come marching in with masks on. We didn’t and after a few minutes they all said f’ it and took theirs off. 14 days and no one is ill, but of course most never even know they have had it. One niece had it months ago and it was like flu. It sucked and she felt like absolute shit which of course is what flu does. Her husband had it as well and was totally asymptomatic.

In a month or so when there is a lull in the hysteria Tony will come out with how even the mildest of cases may put a person in grave danger for the rest of their life. Watch for it, coming to your favorite station.

I got into it today with some folks who just love Dr. Fauci. I said he’s given us bad information numerous times. They said yeah they knew that but they are real sure he “means well.” “Things change” and all that. So I assume you are correct and the numbskulls at least can’t wait to be led around by the nose.

As corona deaths, even over-counted, fall into the single figures daily in Canada, mask commands are proliferating. London, ON, where there might be one death a week at most, brought down its mask edict yesterday. No going into stores or any public venue without masks. So are our so-called leaders insane, evil, stupid, and/or following orders from above?

Just made a run to town today and did not diaper up. Nobody said anything, even though it is now county law to wear one in public. Saw a few others without covers and got lots of “looks” from the Kevin’s and Karen’s.

BTW there is supposed to be 5 planets visible in the eastern sky an hour or so before daylight.

Just got back from a week in the other side of the bay. The boardwalk at Ocean City was down by at least 50%. WuFlu and BLM have done their job. Many businesses won’t be reopening next year and there are business vacancy signs already.

My daughter and I were on the beach every morning at 6am to “reserve” our space. With the whole Social Distancing phenomenon the beach was full of chairs and blankets by 8am and no one in them. This was the first year that has really been a problem. We stayed and enjoyed the beautiful quiet while my wife made us breakfast.

10% at best face diaper usage on the boardwalk. Unfortunately, all the restaurants are requiring them for entry after a few had employees turn up positive and were forced to shut down for a time. They are already at or over the brink and can’t afford a shutdown so I understood their dilemma.

This is the face diaper I wear. It’s just as effective as their hot, sweaty, and smelly fabric masks. It was only $8.99 when I bought mine so I’m guessing others are masking up with steel mesh window screen as well. I’m using the goggles in my garage.

Recently traveled. Went to National Parks and other places. Not sure the majority of the crowds I saw have even heard about the virus.

Mainly, only some employees wearing masks. We were required to wear masks in the restaurants at the parks, but that was the only place it was required anywhere we went. Otherwise, no one required it and no one really cared.

Came home to my state now mandating it.

Counting on the silent majority to come through.
