Not to nitpick, but the album was released in 1980…….40 years ago! Time flies……..

Not sure but I believe if you havent seen them live in concert you never will. I think they stopped touring.

I was in a new school that year and I had the teacher calling me Angus for 2 months. No one has ever done more with a power cord.

Rumor has it Brian has some sort of cochlear implant and they’re recording an album in memory of Young.

My favorite band. I have a running dispute with WIP on here (I think) about Brian Johnson being better than Bon Scott. Not sure how that’s in dispute after BiB let alone everything up to and including Razor’s Edge. Not that DDDDC wasn’t amazing as well.

Bon didn’t simply scream, like Brian, Bon had buckets of charisma, and the songs were more playfully written. They were a better band with him. But BiB remains a great album. I bought it on 1st day of release.

Saw ’em on August 30th, ’78, open for Cheap Trick and Ted Nugent in Seattle. They didn’t receive a very Warm Welcome, which was unfortunate, as they worked very hard to put on a good show.
The Next Tour, for BiB, they skipped Seattle, so I didn’t get to see them.
Saw them again in Feb. of ’81, the 2nd of 4 nights in Seattle, and they were Hailed like a Returning King of Old from a successful battle. They Headlined that night with some no-name band I can’t remember. They Kicked Ass.
But I have to say that, IMHO, they were better with Bon.

I like thinking about how great Bon Scott would have been. He came across as an out of control type. They tend to do well as frontmen.

My all time favorite front man is Roth but it seems most like the more demour Hagar.

Again, I think I’m in the minority in favoring Hagar over Roth. I hated Roth’s shitty ego but his music was still great. Hagar just seemed like a great cross between a beach bum and a redneck.

My all-time favorite front man? Whew, that’s tough. I’d really have to think about it. Off the top of my head, I love Jim Morrison, Axl, Layne Staley, Chris Cornell, Mick Jagger, Freddie Mercury, Jerry Garcia. Not sure I could ever pick “my favorite” because in the summer it’d probably be Jerry Garcia or Glenn Frey. Different seasons, different moods, different front men.

My favorite band is AC/DC, but I’d still rather be stuck with the Dead collection on a desert island if I had to choose one band. They covered so many genres.

I saw that tour a couple of times, first in a 3000 seat theater(Orpheum)and months later in the large Boston Garden.

I also saw the Highway tour with Bonn, while Brian is a great frontman preferred Bonn.

To this day Night Prowler is still me favorite song from the boys.

Tut,tut, tut.
Those AC/DC chaps are now in deep doo doo with BLM-Antifa and all the other SJW scumbags for their colour appropriation.

In 85 I was in the seventh grade and the older kids on the bus played highway to hell everyday on the ride to school. Good times
