WHY I DON’T VOTE

It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. So each time you visit the site, I would ask that you consider the value that you receive and have received from The Burning Platform and the community of which you are a vital part. I can't do it all alone, and I need your help and support to keep it alive. Please consider contributing an amount commensurate to the value that you receive from this site and community, or even by becoming a sustaining supporter through periodic contributions. I’ll say it again:

Voting is Political Masturbation.
When you do it….
You’re just screwing yourself.

Man do I miss this guy. Looking back at my 71 years more important ‘stuff’ comes into focus. My 1st real political conscientiousness starts with the Kennedy hit. That following spring is when the Beatle’s first album came out: Meet The Beatles. I was 14. It was the start of the ‘teenybopper’ age. It’s also about then that George made his change from an Ed Sullivan Borsht Belt comic to challenging the establishment. The interesting comparison is that both grew along with me. The Beatles started with the sappy “She Loves You” and ends with Abby Road; “the love you gave is equal to the love you made”. George went from the mother-in-law jokes to this cut. Add in Muhammad Ali and you have perfectly bracketed my growth into the man I am today. I would have been a lesser man without all three.

“The love you take is equal to the love you make”.
A beautiful line and an excellent album.
