Much heralded COVID-19 model-student South Korea saw new infections with the virus rise again to more than 1,000 cases per day, dramatically higher than during the first wave in February and March.

The head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has hailed South Korea as demonstrating that containing the virus, while difficult, “can be done.” He urged countries to “apply the lessons learned in Korea and elsewhere.”
As Statista’s Willem Roper notes, the country has been praised extensively for reducing cases of COVID-19, but a continuously climbing case count shows how the threat of new outbreaks looms even after flattening the curve (twice before).
After a second outbreak in August and September was squashed, South Korea had already tightened restrictions again.
The highest number of daily new cases in the initial wave was recorded at 813 on Feb 29.

Still, these cases being recorded now are only a sliver of those detected daily in the U.S. and Europe. There, daily new case counts of COVID-19 are still in the tens of thousands… so keep wearing your masks!!!

How can they possibly work?
They are NOT designed to stop particles as small as a virus.
Surgical masks were not designed as filters and were not intended to be used as filters. Surgical masks were designed to be used by surgeons standing face down over an operating table holding a patient with an open wound. The surgeon wearing the mask would be able to talk to others in the room without discharging spittle droplets into the patient’s wound. Spittle droplets are large and can cause infection.
I witnessed a test of surgical masks. Small plaster particles were generated in a room. They were visible as a white dust in the air. A man was properly fitted with a surgical mask and spent a short time in the room. When he came out the mask was removed. A camera was focused on the man’s face. The entire area that had been covered by the mask was coated by the white dust. The camera showed that his nostrils and his mouth had been penetrated by the white dust. The dust particles were measured and found to be around 40 micrometers in diameter. The particles that penetrated the mask were the same diameter.
Covid-19 virus molecules are about 0.1 micrometers in diameter. That is 400 times smaller than the plaster particles that penetrated the mask.
Surgical masks will not prevent the wearer from inhaling or exhaling viruses or bacteria. They provide absolutely no protection for either the wearer or anyone nearby. They create a very dangerous false sense of security for everyone. They also force the wearer to rebreath carbon dioxide. Which will over time reduce the wearers blood oxygen level. That can become very dangerous especially for older people.
This farce is being promoted by sleazy politicians who believe that if they can convince people that they are protecting them or creating a safe environment for them by pushing this mask farce those people will re-elect them.

You are being too generous … Tarred and feathered, then if they were tied to allowing lock downs and shuttered businesses, hung from lamp posts sounds more realistic.
Asia is not what it appears to be: In the autumn, the government ran a campaign to test 5 million HK locals. After 1.2 million tests they announced that there had been no positives. I never heard any more, the campaign moved out of the news and forgotten about. We all know by now that the PCR test throws out loads of positives, so a result of 0 positives from 1.2 million tests is an obvious lie. But is it? It is possible to change the variables of the PCR test to guarantee no positives, so maybe that is what they did, to get the perfect zero.
A few weeks later, the schools had to send the mask-wearing children home, because over 2000 had flu. There had been an outbreak of flu amoungst the mask-wearing kids. An instance of real life breaking through the mask fantasy and demonstrating that although the government can control the results of the testing program, naughty nature will keep on throwing in surprises to demonstrate that masks are just not working.
Still, ask any local why the kids got flu, given that they all wear masks, and they will tell you “It would have been much worse if they had not been wearing masks”. I don’t believe that but it is a popular retort of someone unable to prove the efficacy of their beliefs, they summon up fantasy disasters that would have happened to non believers.
I am happy to wear a mask should a “real scientist” – here I am talking about real science in the old fashioned sense, not real science in the Google, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok fact-checker sense – convincingly demonstrate the following:
Covid exists: People say it exists, but those people are lying to me about lots of things and I don’t know whether Covid is one of those lies.
Covid could kill a significant number of people: The Hong Kong government stats are that 112 people have died from Covid in 2020. The same stats dept says that 135 people died in traffic accidents in 2018. The government is not stopping driving, so what should I think about that?
Covid tests work: The presence of a fragment of DNA in your air passages is not an illness, it happens all the time, so why should I believe that the test shows anything other than I breath in stuff? Especially as lots of people with positive tests don’t fall ill within a few hours of a positive test.
Covid is not the flu: The symptoms appear to be the same and since Covid arrived nobody seems to bother about flu anymore, even though it kills more people.
Masks can protect us: The liars tell me that masks will protect both me and other people from catching Covid. Not only can you blow smoke through masks, but the liars don’t even have any real data on how Covid is transmitted.
Uninfected people can infect people: Covid appears to have introduced the supernatural into disease transmission, the liars are telling me that I can pass on the virus even before my body starts creating new copies of the virus. They don’t explain where I get the virons that I pass on, or why this only happens with Covid, I am just expected to believe.
Why does everybody seems to have a relative or friend who died from Covid yet the overall death rate has not changed in most countries: The liars really push the boat out with this one “My friend had Covid and died” …. ummm, so how do you know they had Covid? The hosiptal said so. But Covid has the same symptoms as flu. They probably died from pneumonia, bacterial pneumonia, because basically nobody dies of viral pneumonia? So how do you know they didn’t have flu? Were they tested for flu? No, they tested positive for Covid.
So many lies, so many gullible believers, gullible and superstitious believers suspending any dependence on real science. How many lies do you have to ignore to believe this scam.
