When are folks going to come to the realization that this stimulus spending is really a charge card. At some point, someone, is going to get stuck with paying the bill. Hi, Dan. Yes, they are skewed, but NOT for nefarious reasons, such as, being deceptive on purpose.
The problem cartographers have is how does one take a 3-dimensional round earth and accurately project it onto a two-dimensional flat piece of paper. It’s difficult. There are several ways to do it … but EACH projection has its weaknesses and distortions.
One way is via the Mercator projection … the most widely used method today. It was developed in the 16th century. It flattens the globe by straightening the meridians (the imaginary lines encircling the globe and passing through both poles) and parallels (which run perpendicular to the meridians).
This was GREAT for navigation (which is why it was developed), but not so great for representing size and distance. That’s because the scale increases from the equator and becomes infinite at the poles. That’s why Antarctica is so enormous and Africa so comparatively small.

So, let me get this right. The governments close society down causing millions to lose jobs, bankrupt businesses, devastate lives and families for almost a year over a concocted hoax. Then the beneficent government gives us back a little of OUR money that we previously paid in and also pays themselves the same stimulus amount we receive (even though they never lost a dime of their guaranteed paycheck) all while making sure the vast majority of the money goes to fraudulent programs outside of the US. Whew!

I realize that there are many folks out there that are hurting financially Over this scam-demic. For myself it makes no difference weather it is 600 or 2000. Or none at all. As I have planned for such things. The thing that galls me though…..Several “Fiscal Conservatives”in the Senate. Have a problem with increasing the payments from 600 to 2000. Yet these same clowns had no problem passing the current bill. Talk about hypocrites. What a shit show this country has turned into.
