I’d like to wish everyone a Happy New Year, but lets be serious. 2021 is not going to be better than 2020. In years gone by we’d be in Wildwood and headed to the Shamrock to see Billy Jack. But the Shamrock is closed until March. All the restaurants and bars are closed in PA. I’ll be asleep by 11:00.
Even if 2021 sucks worse than 2020, we still have this place to commiserate. TBP keeps me sane in an insane world. We’ll get through this, and if not, we’ll all see each other at the TBP section of the FEMA camp. I call the top bunk.

I can’t exactly remember when I first stumbled onto this site and I’m not sure why I started commenting but then, somedays I can’t remember what I ate for breakfast. It’s been raining (yay) and cold (hrmph) today, but my house is warm and I have food and good friends and family.I watched some videos of folks stuck on Hwy 10 out in West Texas, they’d been there for hours…made me appreciate where I am even more.

I stumbled here from Eric Peters’ site quite by accident. I must admit it was a very happy accident. I wish I could submit some monetary funds to Jim but I am currently strapped for cash. AT&T has jacked up my rates yet again. If I were the only one in the house, I cut the cable but there are others here to consider. My current TV/Internet bill is more than 10% of my retirement funds. I have a house payment, van payment (for the two great grand sons I have custody of) and other utilities to take care of. I am hoping the new year will allow me to work part time from home and then I can spare some funds to keep this site in the black and available for all liberty loving individuals!

While 2020 lasts longer than elsewhere here in western Washington, I can see the lights from across the water and the lights of the little town across the distant bridge, so I know civilization still stands. As often as I am at odds with virtually everyone, I take heart from the people on this forum for showing grit, humor, sense, and that warmth one feels coming from the lights in windows across the bay.
