The Worst of Days for Trump & Trumpists

What Americans watched was a mob occupation and desecration of the temple of the American Republic. And the event will be forever exploited to discredit not only Trump but the movement he led and the achievements of his presidency.

President Donald Trump, it turns out, was being quite literal when he told us Jan. 6 would be “wild.”

And so Wednesday was, but it was also disastrous for the party and the movement Trump has led for the last five years.

Wednesday, the defeats of Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue in Georgia’s runoff elections were confirmed. This translates into the GOP losing the Senate for the next two years.

Chuck Schumer now replaces Mitch McConnell as majority leader.

And the new 50-50 split will put Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, the president of the Senate on Jan. 20, in position to cast the deciding vote on every major issue where the two parties are evenly divided.

Wednesday, there also came the acceptance by both houses of Congress of Joe Biden’s 306-232 electoral vote victory over Trump. The last potential hurdle to Biden’s inauguration as 46th president of the United States has been removed.

But the worst of the day’s events for Trump came when a segment of a friendly crowd of 50,000 he just addressed concluded its march down the mall to the U.S. Capitol by smashing its way into the building and invading and occupying the Senate and House chambers.

Members of Congress were forced to flee and hide. A protester, an Air Force veteran, was shot to death by a Capitol cop. Vice President Mike Pence, who was chairing the joint session, was taken into protective custody by his Secret Service detail. Doors were broken open. Windows were smashed, and the building was trashed.

All this was seen on national television from midafternoon through nightfall. The East and West fronts of the Capitol were occupied for hours by pro-Trump protesters, whom the president, his son Don Jr., and Rudy Giuliani had stirred up in the hours before the march down the mall.

What Americans watched was a mob occupation and desecration of the temple of the American Republic. And the event will be forever exploited to discredit not only Trump but the movement he led and the achievements of his presidency. He will be demonized as no one else in our history since Richard Nixon or Joe McCarthy.

Yet, just two months ago, Trump rolled up the highest vote total ever by an incumbent president, 74 million. And, according to four major polls, his approval remains where it has been for four years, between 40 and 50%.

What took place Wednesday was a disgrace and a debacle. But it was not, as some have wildly contended, comparable to 9/11 or to the British burning of the Capitol in 1814 during the War of 1812. That is malicious hyperbole, establishment propaganda.

On Sept. 11, 2001, more than 3,000 Americans died horribly when Manhattan’s World Trade Center twin towers came crashing down and the Pentagon was hit by a hijacked airliner. And there have been far more serious events in the lifetimes of many of us than this four-hour occupation of the Capitol.

In May 1970, after Nixon ordered an invasion of Cambodia to clean out Communist sanctuaries, National Guard troops, in panic, shot and killed four students at Kent State University in Ohio.

Hundreds of campuses exploded; hundreds of universities shut down for the semester. Scores of thousands of demonstrators poured into D.C. Buses, end-to-end, circled the White House. U.S. troops were moved into the basement of the Executive Office Building.

Today, there is absurd media talk of removing the president through impeachment or invocation of the 25th Amendment.

If the House votes impeachment, is the Senate going to hold a trial in 12 days to put Pence in the Oval Office? As for removing Trump through the 25th Amendment, this would require a declaration by Vice President Pence and half of the Cabinet that Trump is unfit to finish out a term that ends in two weeks. Not going to happen.

But undeniably, the events of Wednesday are going to split the Republican Party. And what does the future of that party now look like?

After Trump leaves the presidency, he will not be coming back. The opposition to him inside the GOP would prevent his nomination or would defect to prevent his reelection were he nominated again.

Yet, the size and strength of Trump’s movement is such that no Republican candidate he declares persona non grata could win the nomination and the presidency.

Trump’s supporters are today being smeared and castigated by the same media who lionized the BLM and antifa “peaceful protesters” who spent their summer rioting, looting, burning and pillaging Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Portland, Kenosha, Louisville and scores of other cities.

The Trumpists have been demonized before. They are used to this. And whatever their sins, disloyalty and ingratitude to the man they put in the presidency is not one of them.

Wednesday was a bad day for America, but it was not the Reichstag fire.

“What Americans watched was a mob occupation and desecration of the temple of the American Republic. ”
– P. Buchanan

What the entire world saw was a very large group of furious American people send a potent message to the God-awful politicians who occupy the building that over the course of 10 months one cannot continue to scare the crap out of people with an alleged pandemic; suspend the People’s God-given and foundational civil rights in the name of said pandemic; destroy the macro -economies of the nations plus the micro-economies of productive working peoples of the world; have race riots without consequence; and celebrate a thoroughly comprised election with gravest consequences to a system that is so corrupt and fragile that it perhaps cannot be entrusted to provide an honest result nor serve the country and citizens it purports to represent.

FIFY.

The most extraordinary thing about the people protesting, both outside then inside the Capitol, when provided with the greatest opportunity OF ALL TIME to say something of importance, said nothing. Nobody said anything. NOTHING!

Not one person told the Government why they were there. No leader gave the declaration of five grievances of the hour. Not one individual seized the moment to hold a press conference with the media of the world and explain the situation. Auntie is confounded and most troubled over this. (Was it a set up after all? A false flag as suggested in some quarters?)

Doesn’t matter now. Congress certified that Joe Biden and the Harris Administration will now use the event to ensure maximum, possibly permanent, lockdown as punishment to uppity YT. Bank on it.

And as for The temple of the American Republic? It had been desecrated by the Money Masters, heirophants and temple prostitutes who are emplaced there, decades ago. And oh, by the way, the Republic of which Pat speaks is a cold moldering corpse in the basement of the Capitol somewhere if it hasn’t been quietly cremated and ashes scattered in the Potomac already.

Finally, Mr. B., America is now part of a global Totalitarian Oligarchic Technocracy (c) if one hasn’t been paying attention. And once the bugs are worked out They, The Evil Fuckers, intend on making it the model and their plantation for all eternity.

Pat needs to hang it – his obsolete political analysis – up and move on to a nice quiet place in the country to play with his grandkids, reminisce with old friends, and pen his memoirs.

Sadly, Auntie, I agree with your entire analysis. And I hate that fact. See, I actively campaigned for Pat in 1992 and was proud of it. It was the capstone I was doing for a Political Science project on campaign finance corruption and the sellout of America to foreign influence. He would have been a great POTUS in 1992.

Pat is a good and decent man. I have no doubt about it. But he is a compromising Silent and his time is past. I’ll never forget his contributions to my political views.

And thank you, sir, for not personally tearing the man down.

Frankly, I think storming the Capitol was….capital. The politicians got a taste and now know that the formerly docile little deplorables can become a tad nasty if necessary. Wednesday also revealed something more important and that was that the politicians are scared of us. They are going to work real hard to emasculate us and I daresay most folk are now telling them to piss off. I have no shame or feeling of contrition about the Capitol protests. The media and leftists are going to clutch their pearls and squeal and so what? They call us deplorable and stupid and racist and terrorists when we don’t do squat, so let us give them REAL reasons to squawk, what they think is beyond irrelevant. Fuck them.

Antifa lit the fuse and led the charge and the Trump supporters were dumb enough to follow them in. It was a trap laid in an effort to distract from the steal, enabled by the DC mayor and all responsible for the ridiculously small law enforcement/security presence around the Capitol building in the face of a 100,000+ crowd of Trump supporters. It allowed Congress to stop debate, then have an excuse to certify the fraudulent election because “we can’t let animals call the tune.”

I’ve always supported the MAGA cause, but a great number of the MAGA people aren’t the brightest bulbs in the chandelier – even though their hearts are in the right place.

Pat playing the ‘useful idiot’ role again?

No, he’s actually too smart to be able to pull that off.
So he is falling in line with McConnell, Senator Richard Burr from North Carolin, Mitt Romney, and Rep. Liz Cheney (Wyo.) to parrot the establishment line, just a tiny bit toned down so some fools still see him as a critic.

History is written by the victors. And the historians and the professoriate and the media. So Buchanan is right that Trump will join the pantheon of official villains along with Nixon and and Joe McCarthy. Plenty of people will know that the election was stolen – just like in 1960, but on a larger scale – but when saying it out loud will get you “deplatformed” and maybe even fired, it will go unsaid. If a team wins the Super Bowl due to a series of crooked calls by the refs, the resentment by the losing team’s fans eventually fades. President Asterisk (Biden) will eventually do, say or suffer something that will cause more people to sympathize with him and tolerate him. Besides, what else can they do?

Storming the Capitol was stupid. It wasn’t going to keep Trump in office. It didn’t teach anyone in Congress anything. It just provided more video for the propaganda reel of the Dems. Trump won the presidency with three central promises: stopping (as much as possible) illegal immigration, getting out of world government schemes like TPP and avoiding any more stupid wars. Those were all reasonable, non-Hitlerian goals that didn’t tarnish his voters. And now some goober who stole a podium becomes the face of the Trump Voter. Trump bears some responsibility for that.

Antifa and BLM bears all the responsibility for what happened 6 Jan 2021. However, I will agree that Trump should have thought about the likelihood that everyone in government would turn against him on that day and encourage infiltration of the crowd by Antifa, BLM and agent provocateurs. It was a gross oversight in tactics.

Unless the real shooting starts the best we can hope for under the first real President Cocksucker (since Biden won’t be around in six months) is balkanization, for the rest of the country it is going to be 30 million hateful parasitic dreamers being granted citizenship followed by 300 million aftican and muslime imports whose needs will of course be prioritized while they rape their way through the local population.

Poor Pat. He was an early hero of mine, one of the few who would stand up to the leftists and the RINO’s. A courtly gentleman, good-humored, and decent, he should have been president. Time has passed him by. His writing now have as much relevance to our current situation as the minutes of a cabinet meeting from the 1920’s. Like most “good conservatives”, he can’t accept that the America he did so much to save – and failed in the attempt – is gone forever. I get it. It took me a long time to accept that hard fact; he still hasn’t and neither have most of the Republicans in Congress. They still imagine they are are living in the America of the 1980’s or 1990’s, if not the 1890’s. No, that country is dead, gone and buried six feet deep, never to rise again.
Pat and the rest will rant and rave at the “terrorists” who had finally had enough of the lying and cowardice and stealing and cheating. Jail them! Shut them down! I was reading a screed in the Washington Times by one Alexander Salter, supposedly an economics professor at some shit heel college in Texas. He was screaming Never Trump! Never Cruz! Never anybody who suggested that there just might have been fraud in the 3 November election. I am sure he would want every single person who supported Trump in Washington on 6 January to be flayed alive. I looked up this scumbag. Among the other jewels he has written is one defending “sanctuary cities” and denying the right of the Federal government to enforce its laws. I am sure this bastard wants them enforced good and hard on the folks who invaded the Capitol. Remember his name.
It is true that Pat’s tone is measured, which is what you would expect. He has not gone hog wild with demands for lynching as many public figures have. He also points out the terrible danger we are all in from domination of the government by the Democrat Marxists. He correctly pronounces a political death sentence on Trump, though not on his movement or supporters. Pat is old but he is not an old fool.
The truth teller in his editorial is his use of the term “desecration of the temple of the American Republic” to describe 6 January. Pat, sorry to be the one to tell you, but that republic began to die at Appomattox. One can’t pinpoint the date of its final, irreversible demise but 6 January will serve as well as any for the day on which the American people, the core population of the United States, finally realized that it was dead. The presence of a handful of patriots in the Congress changes nothing. They are like the feeble, gray-haired Roman senators who watched as the republic and then the empire dissolved into nothing. As for the supposed “temple of the American Republic”, when Christianity triumphed in the Roman Empire, the old “temples” of Rome’s gods were torn down, forgotten, turned into public latrines. So much for our “temple”, Pat.
Trump has been broken and now he is begging forgiveness. He won’t get it, and neither will the turncoats making haste to abandon his administration and cause. Naturally, two women were among the first to go. DeVos and Chao, the Chinese spy wife of McConnell. Now with her hubby out of his high office she will not doubt resist the temptation of crawling into bed with the old goat, unless she gets a direct order from Mr. Xi.
No, the Trump era is over. But that will not be the end of this grim story….
As much as I hate them with every fiber of my being, and I do, I admire the discipline, shrewdness, and ruthlessness of the leftists. Just try to imagine the average GOP politicians even understanding what their ultimate goals are, much less standing up to them. It is enough to make a cynic giggle out loud. Just watch. As Biden and the new Congress take their seats you will see just how worthless and degenerate the Republicans really are. Keep your eyes on Ben Sasse and Romney to put you in the mood for a quick trip to the vomitorium. Many of the others will fall into line as well.
As gruesome as this picture is, there is a silver lining. The stolen election, the collapse of Trump into a deflating bag of hot air, the betrayal of so many “Republicans” and, lastly, the events of 6 January, will mark a fork in the road. The birth and growth of a new American movement is inevitable. The left wants identity politics? They will get them good and hard. They want confrontation in the streets? On order. The looming economic disaster will radicalize millions of formerly law-abiding Americans. Veterans, some cops, housewives, farmers, laid off factory workers, angry young white men of all kinds, will suddenly see things clearly.
Our country contains more people suited for guerrilla warfare and true terrorism than any other place on earth. In Latin America, whole nations were turned upside down by a few hundred guerrillas armed with old revolvers and shotguns stolen from security guards. Our country contains hundreds of millions of far better weapons in the hands of millions of men who know how to use them. As for more sophisticated weapons, the mind reels with what Americans can do if they reach that point.
The immediate result will be a spate of isolated acts followed by brutal and mindless repression. That is when the spiral starts to all out civil conflict. This is not rocket science and I am not Nostradamus. It is what happens.
The alienation of the core American population will be complete when the financial collapse hits, the big one which may be right around the corner.
When that day dawns the left and the Quislings will come face-to-face with a nightmare, but it will be all too real.

“Wednesday was a bad day for America, but it was not the Reichstag fire.”
Wednesday, January 6, 2021, was not only a bad day, but politically it was just as damning and destructive as April 26, 1985 was to the Soviet Union. That was a day of events after which everyone knew that everything was a lie, where so many became repulsed with that system that once the final unraveling began 6 years later, the whole country collapsed in only 17 weeks.
