GOTTA GET THE BREAD AND MILK

Looks like we’re going to get hit with a big snowstorm between Sunday and Tuesday. Looks like most of the models are showing 1 to 2 feet of snow. This model shows 40 inches for my location. I sure hope it’s wrong.

We moved here in October 1995. That winter we had a 30 inch snowstorm, but the wind blew it towards our house and it was piled at least 4 feet high. It took me six hours to dig out one side of our driveway. I knew I should have bought a snowblower last year. If I don’t show up after Tuesday, you can assume I died of a massive coronary from shoveling.

Now I gotta get the milk and bread!!!!!!!

Good luck! If we had a big snowstorm here in Minneapolis, maybe it would at least slow down the carjackings for a day or two.

What’s with that shit anyway? Same thing in Chiraq. Out of nowhere dozens of carjackings. Until a couple of weeks ago it was almost unheard of in Chicago. Somebody going to make car bombs or some other enhancement to our current situation?

out here in western/central pa, we’re always on the lame end of weather events: you’re getting up to 40”, we’re getting maybe an inch. it’s like that all the time. peeps all around us get slammed, and we get jack. i actually enjoy the occasional life-changing weather event. I get jealous at times…

The Winter of our discontent. I need a new snowblower. The one old Toro leaks gas all over and the other one won’t start. I got 20 years out of them so I can’t complain. Anybody have suggestions for a real ass kicker? My aged ass definitely needs an electric start. Single stage.

HR,come on man,fix leaky tank/line/ carb and get other to start unless seized ect.,then a new motor assuming body/transmission working ect.

Look,I get times are a bit tough but ,well……,feel tis time to man the fuck up!

Seriously,are you OK?!

I would say you are determined to by another the older(20 years back)any good sized engine with a Tecumsa and electric start your goal, really hate all the new shit/pain to work on ect.

I lived a bit closer(you are not in New England are ya’s)would get one or both the beast running for ya’s,also, with right PRG gas treatment would be one pull starts!

I took a sitting 20 year/40 year old snow blower up and running great/did literally 4 oil changes till it came out clean/cleaned carb/polished points(yep, that old) and was a beast from fucking hell, sold to neighbor who I snow blowed for for years when I moved(bad decision on me part looking back!).

You’ll be pleased to know I got the 6.5 horse Toro to fire up this afternoon after three months of trying and cleared a lot of snow this afternoon. Snowing like a bitch right now on top of an hour or two of freezing rain. I’ve done the rebuild thing on the other one and it drains all the gas on the floor. Oil Dry has a shrine to me I’m sure. This time I’ll just get a whole new carburetor. These are two cycles so they don’t have oil pans. The mixed gas, even with Sea Foam in it clogs them up in the off season even run dry.
The four cycles with oil pans usually pop right over first pull. I have one, two stage 23 hp but it’s too big for anything but my parking lot. Definitely would like a four cycle if possible for my next home model. Electric start too. If They make a self driving one I’m down for that too. LOL!

Nice,way to go!

I assume you cannot get ethonol free gas in your area,so,trust me when I say the PRI gas treatment works, tis pricey(I bought a gallon for 80 bucks),but one ounce treats 16 gallons of gas, good for at least a couple of years if treated immediately!

My lawn mower is a Honda, it is 40 years old and starts first time every time. If your TORO is a Briggs and Stratton motor then it will outlive all of creation. Why, I have an egg farm and the 3 wheel trolley has a B&S motor front wheel drive(3 speed)with a side rope start C 1950…so 82 years old Runs first pull.. it is called maintenance.
Just do it

In the early 80’s when the economy here in British Communista went in the toilet I made a living shoveling snow in Prince George. Not well paying but was thankful I could make some money.

for several winters, after shoveling the snow off the roof of my house, I could step off and walk down the bank on any corner. We did one mall where we were running a snow blower almost constantly for about two weeks. To much snow – climate change, to little – climate change, to hot, to cold, to wet to dry, to windy to calm – climate change… It’ll be making its appearance again very soon again as the grifts line up at sleepy joes door.

I am under that spot also. It says 30 plus. Can’t wait to shovel that.

Avalon said, “I better get some fish before the roads close.” So, she did.

Her last words as she headed out the door …. “Jim, be careful when you shovel. You’re not a spring chicken anymore.”

But, did Jim listen? Nooooo ….

40 inches of snow will give Mr Quinn time to reflect on current events. Then he can revise his estimates of the speed and severity of our imminent 4th turning crisis. I fear he has underestimated how bad and how fast it is going to be.

BTW Jim, that storm dropped 2 ” on St Louis and it’s almost all gone.

if it’s dry powder type snow, use your leaf/lawn blower. Or do like my lazy ass neighbor and make your wife go out and shovel.(She brings in the garbage cans and cuts the grass also…..she’s dumb).

No bread, some milk. Plenty of beer. Saving two nice Optimator doppelbocks for the occasion.

Seriously. I’m hoping to take two days off and enjoy moving snow around.
