One of my first jobs was working for a national furniture chain. I was constantly surprised by the number of people who would show up with tiny vehicles and expect some huge piece of furniture to fit inside. They’d get mad about it not fitting and complain that the salesman told them it would fit- the salesmen did that in order to make the sale and get their commission.
Warehouse staff demanded a meeting and demanded the salesmen stop telling customers that a huge dresser or other item like a full size bar unit would fit into a compact car. You’d think the customer would have known better but……nope.
