When I was in school, I was taught that that color was beige or tan.
In Jr. High, I worked at the 5 and dime after school. One of my buds worked at a clothing store across the srteet. He told me about a saleslady waiting on a cullut lady who asked for “skin tone” stockings. The saleslady showed her some mocha colored ones and the cullut lady left, all pissed off.
I guess she wanted the “flesh colored ” ones. Anyway, back then bandaids and nylons were flesh colored or skin tone
