Since my Last Waste Of Time post was RUINED by that dud from NJ, here’s another one. This one actually requires a bit of thinking. Just one rule ..
NO FUCKING CHEATING!!!
———————————————-
#1 – Amazon
#2 – Parking Lot. What’s the number of the parking lot on which the car is parked?
#3 – Crack The Code (10,000 people took this test — only 7% solved it!)
Llpoh is considering hiring you to run all his manufacturing facilities while he is recuperating from a brown snake bite. You want the job because he’s paying $10.50/hr, plus overtime. He knows you’re a TBPer so, there’s a 20% chance you’re Dumbass. To test your intelligence he places a 3 digit lock in front of you. You must figure out the code given the following hints.
Your Hints;
(6-8-2) = one number is correct and in the correct position
(6-1-4) = one number is correct but in the wrong position
(2-0-6) = two numbers correct but in the wrong position
(7-3-8) = nothing is correct
(7-8-0) = one number is correct but in the wrong position
WHAT IS THE CODE?
.
#4 – A man leaves work and walks exactly one mile to his home. Halfway home a torrential downpour occurs. He has no hat, no hoodie, no umbrella … he doesn’t even try to protect himself. Yet, when he walks through the door of his home, he doesn’t have one single wet hair. How is this possible?
A hint on number one. You do NOT need any advanced math or formulas to solve it! A little subtraction, a little division, and logic will do it.
Maff be hard.
Rayciss maff
methinks it is a quadratic equation.
I’m gonna go ahead and look the incompetent dumbass I certainly am, and try 3 of em. 1. 70m. 2. 87. 3. ? 4. He’s bald.
Right off the bat, Mike hits a home run. His answer to puzzle 4 is correct. I’m guessing that Mike, himself, is bald.
In his next at bat he strikes out on 3 consecutive pitches.
I declare self entitlement. I say I’m correct enuf. And no, I have countless hairs upon my noggin. May as well be bald as I shave my own head with clippers without any attachment. I don’t have all night to do geometry equations. Aside from the fact that apparently I was such, either a dimwit and my algebra teacher saw no upside but was allowed to skip geometry and go straight to algebra 2. And my so called ‘advanced math’ consisted of noticing the cable is 80m long, 10m off the ground =70m and, if I imagine the 50m pole (either one) laying on its side from the point at which it stands, 70m looks just about right. As to #3, no damn idea.
No algebra or geometry is required.
It is now the only unanswered question.
The poles are zero meters apart. They’re right next to each other. Touching
So lets talk about scale and size, Stucky, this one is for you….courtesy of Kenny Lane.
For #3 I get 0-4-2
Sorry, that is the wrong answer.
The correct answer is 0-2-6
I think #3 is 042…oops. TN beat me to it
I’m not a math wiz. Can you explain how #2 came out to 87.3?
The answer to #2 is 87 – he put a period after each answer. The 3 is to denote question #3.
Damn you must really be bored today.
You have no idea!!!
Code is 0-4-2
#4. He is bald like me
0-4-2 is correct.
Tell the truth … did you cheat?
No cheating, just used the clues to fill in the blanks.
I want green glow in the dark condoms for my prize. If they are used, just turn them inside out, like you do with dirty underwear.
BTW – the poles are next to each other
duh on numba 1 for me…
What are the prizes?
Naked pictures of me.
Will you substitute for your dog’s pics? Even your gerbil…
How about dead raccoon pics?
He’s bald
The car is on number 87. If the segment marks are 10m apart …. the poles are 80m apart. # 3 is 6-2-8. #4bald. What do I win?
I think TN is right on the code, I should have paid attention. Maff is hard.
Just one rule ……..,eh,I don’t follow rules so I am out.
I will say,as times get spicy,you ain’t winning if you ain’t cheating!
Hmmmm….,drenching rains/no real protection for #4 and yet no wet hair.
WTF?!Does he shave his eyebrows/pubes/arms/legs ect.?!If yes,then he is not a man.
I suppose he could have been exposed to say a high level of radiationand thus the hair fallout, thus of course he does not mind getting wet as he is soon dead.
I trust you’ve read the correct answer given ….. he’s bald.
The clue does not say that the rain storm occurred directly overhead. It could have rained more than a mile away.
How far apart are the Poles? Depends on which Poles you are talking about. Aleks and Tolek are about 5 miles apart. But Aleks and Bartek are 12 miles apart. I’m not sure how this question is relevant to the chart? You been drinking?
Question two is 87. The only reason i could figure it out is because I’m feeling a little upside down today as it is.
#1 I don’t get it other than with looking up formulas for calculating a slack line.
#2 Don’t see the pattern there.
#3 is 6 – 0 – 2 Just because one is doesn’t mean another isn’t.
#4 is definitely total baldness…I live that dream.
I’ll explain #3. Someone explain #1 and #2 for me.
Clue #4: Possible numbers after eliminating 7,3, and 8: 0,1,2,4,5,6,9
Clue #5, 0 is correct, since 7 and 8 were eliminated in clue #4. We know that 0 is one of the numbers. Known numbers: 0; Remaining possibles: 1,2,4,5,6,9; Code so far: ???
Clue #1, assume that 6 is the correct number, but that is logically inconsistent with clue #2, so it can’t be the correct number. We’ve already eliminated 8 as a correct number, so the correct number must be 2 which is also in the correct position. Known numbers: 0,2; Remaining possibles: 1,4,5,9; Code so far: ??2
Clue #3, we know that number 2 is correct and one of the numbers in the wrong position. We also know that 0 is a correct number, which eliminates 6 as a valid number.
Also on clue #3, since we know that 2 is in the last position, the 0 must go in the first position as it has nowhere else to go. Known numbers: 0,2; Remaining possibles: 1,4,5,9; Code so far: 0?2
Clue #2: 6 has been eliminated, so is 1 or 4 the last correct number? The last correct number must also be in the wrong position. Only the second position is open, so 4 must be in the wrong position and the last correct number. Final code: 042.
#1. The poles are 50m tall and the line drops to 10m and it takes 40m, at least for the drop. subtract the 40m from 80m and you are left with 40m, meaning the poles are next to each other.
Winner, winner, chicken dinner!!
You just got hired by Amazon!! Report to your nearest Amazon Facility by 6AM tomorrow. Your starting pay is $8.15 / hr with guaranteed 25 cent raises every six months for the next ten years! You’re rollin’ in the dough now, baby!
I still want the glow in the dark green condoms.
I think Amazon starts people at $13 around these parts, but they will not let you stop to pee, so I would be fired in the first hour.
If you take the 10m measure from ground to the red marker and lay that sideways, it would equal one of the ground segment measures. If not, what? The poles are next to each other but not directly. Please to explain. I B dumb.
Never mind, I just figured the pole thing out, the visual was stumping me. I still B dumb.
1. The pole is 50 meters tall
2. The distance from the cable to the ground is 10 meters.
3. 50 – 10 = 40. Meaning, the pole is 40 meters above the cable.
4. The cable is 80 meters long. So, HALF the cable is 40 meters.
This means the cable is hanging straight down for 40 meters, and then goes straight up for 40 meters (80 meters total) to the top of the other pole.
Therefore, the poles MUST be directly next to each other.
Stucky- I figured that out finally…….. but why are there units of measure at the bottom between the poles, FMD I hate trick questions.
1 the poles are touching.
2 nothing
3 042
4 bald
1,3,4, were easy, #2 I totally could not see until the post below (look at it up side down) –OK I SEE!
The poles are 7899.8 miles apart.
There is no way to know what the parking LOT number is with the info given
Gave up
He’s bald
Look at the parking lot as if you were driving into the spot. The answer is immediately known,
Or, turn your laptop upside down.
Oh that sucks. Clever, but it sucks.
#3 – 762?
0-4-2
see anon’s explanation @ 8:42
60m
87
062
It rained a half mile away
(stupid me thought they stuffed boxes at Amazon all day long)
There is another equally valid solution to number 4. In fact he can have any number of wet hairs greater than or equal to two in which case he would not have “a SINGLE wet hair”.
Jeebus, that’s crazy talk Doc!!
But, if you wanna go that route … maybe I wasn’t talking about the head on his shoulders!
My answer still stands in that case, too!
I don’t do maff. All I can say is this.
Hey MC,
I hope you can make it to the farm this 4th of July. You were both missed last year!
Doc
Nope, not this year either. Can’t be away from the farm that long if we drive and I refuse to fly.
A STUCKY STUMPER …. I made this one up just now. Really
), !, !, @, #, %, *, !#, ??
What is ??
Hint: It has something to do with an old Italian dude.
ASCI Man-Boobs?
“ASCI Man-Boobs?”
No. But, a mighty fine effort!
Well, looks like no one wants to try to solve my own stupid little riddle. That’s Ok … I’m incredibly surprised this got to 50+ comments. So, here was the question;
), !, !, @, #, %, *, !#, ?? —– What is ??
The answer is ……… @!
The solution is incredibly simple. The characters are the numbers on your keyboard!! So, “)” = 0 and “!” = 1 and “@” =2, etc.
So, ), !, !, @, #, %, *, !#, is actually 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13,
The Fibonacci (Italian dude hint) sequence. The answer, @! = 21
.
Yes, I’m bored and have too much time on my hands. LOL
My answer? Click, fuck this, on to the next article..
50 m. apart, parking space 87, ( 0-6-2), and the man is completely bald.
