AS FREEDOM DAY disappears into history we are getting much more information about how ridiculous and unnecessary Covid restrictions have become. Our myopic leaders are being forced to accept that the ‘Casedemic’ has been a scam from day one. But I won’t hold my breath to see them making a U-turn any time soon.
“Lockdown advocates claim that the UK’s lockdowns prove the policy is effective, with cases only starting to decline after they were rolled out. But Simon Wood, a professor of statistics at Edinburgh University, has analysed the impact of our lockdowns in detail and found that in all three cases infections had begun to fall before they were imposed, e.g. the UK’s third lockdown was put in place on January 6, but cases peaked at the end of December.
Prof Wood’s analysis, as well as the data from other countries, suggests that an infection wave will start to decline in the absence of top-down restrictions, and that has been confirmed by the steady fall in daily cases since ‘Freedom Day’. The reason that’s significant is because it implies that the eye-watering financial cost of the lockdowns – £250 billion and counting – has been unnecessary, not to mention the missed hospital appointments, school closures, and terrible toll on the nation’s mental health.”
I think it’s probably too early to start gloating, but it does look as though the gloomsters on SAGE – not to mention the doomsters on Independent SAGE – got the modelling badly wrong. According to the latest data, the number of new cases today stands at 24,950, the sixth consecutive fall in as many days.
Lockdown zealots will attribute this decline to the vaccines, but that begs the question of why they weren’t confident the vaccines would prevent cases from surging when they predicted Armageddon last Monday? No doubt vaccines have played a part, but so has natural immunity (by catching the disease and recovering) and pre-existing immunity (by having caught and recovered from a similar disease in the past).
And we shouldn’t exaggerate the part the vaccines have played because we now know the trial data over-estimated how efficacious vaccines are against infection. The evidence that they significantly reduce the risk of serious disease and death is still robust; but evidence that they significantly reduce the risk of infection or transmission isn’t holding up very well, which is one reason vaccine passports are a waste of time.

SO NOW – our criminal government are moving on to Health Passports because they know they are at the end of this phase of lockdowns and masks etc. For the autumn they need even more aggressive systems which they are copying from China. This article describes it perfectly.

HOWEVER – if health passports are not enough to harass innocent people, this example from an NHS hospital says it all about the dictatorial medical profession in Britain who claim rights over our private bodies. This 2 min video describes a family fighting against medical tyranny as nurses try to ‘test’ a new-born baby with their flawed PCR test which itself is highly invasive and likely to cause negative effects;

WHAT FREEDOM DAY? – How the ‘experts’ got it all wrong. Proponents of lockdown measures have no such luxury. The BBC suggests that this is the first time infections have fallen without a lockdown, conveniently ignoring the evidence that infections were falling in England before each of the previous national lockdowns. And still there is little mention in most of the British media of the fact that infections fell for some months in many US states after they ended all restrictions. SO – why the hell do we continue to listen to these failed ‘scientists’ and their proven unreal computer ‘models’? This cretin, Niall Ferguson, has been wrong so many times he needs to be locked in a closet and the key misplaced forever. Now that the data is working against these charlatans they are crying ‘foul’ and no doubt busy cooking up more ‘science’ to prove the falsity of the current figures.

Spector’s rhetoric is particularly funny given that the media has previously demonized anyone who questions official government statistics on COVID infection rates and death tolls as dangerous conspiracy theorists. BUT – they are outright lying to us, so are they really as stupid as they appear to be? “Let’s try a thought experiment. Let’s imagine our ruling class was not as utterly corrupt, dishonest, incompetent and downright stupid as it manifestly is. I know that’s hard, but go with me.
This weird new virus appears and starts spreading. Instead of leveraging it to take down Trump, the Democrats appear with the Republican president and GOP leadership to announce they are working together to solve the problem. Imagine that instead of shaming people, first about wearing masks, then about not wearing masks, then about not wearing two masks, then no masks, then masks again, they went with transparency.

HOWEVER – as much as we would wish otherwise greater than the Pareto ratio of 80% of the globe believe that the Emperor is fully clothed whilst those alert enough know he is naked. But how do we deal with this continuing cognitive dissonance? Perhaps this worthy essay will give us some clues:

Uncertainty is uncomfortable so if it cannot be pushed aside, then and only then will the mind enlist rational thought processes to work through the dilemma in order to regain a sense of certainty. That is the psychological game we need to play. We need to create the sense of uncertainty that forces our frightened peers to enlist their rational minds. BREXIT: There are shortages of both material and workers, in a country dealing with the twin issues of Brexit and Covid. All this probably means inflation will remain higher than the bank’s 2% target. There is little sign of significantly rising wages. As the furlough scheme winds down, joblessness is bound to rise and the fact that Boris Johnson even dared to offer nurses a 1% pay rise after their year from hell says a lot about the relative powerlessness of the average British employee.

Australia is in for some serious lumps. Most other countries have achieved substantial immunity already – large percentages of their populations have already caught the virus and have natural immunity. That has not happened in Australia. There is almost no chance of Australia not having large numbers of cases, eventually. All the costs, lockdowns, etc will have been for naught. As always, kicking the can down the road will not work.
I’d go with the Delta variant. Let that one rip, it’s more transmissible but no more than half as deadly as Covid Classic.
