I believe the Covid plandemic is winding down. There are lots of signals that the focus is about to change. It concerns me to wonder what is next because I guarantee you, there will be a next thing.

For legal reasons, I cannot discuss (yet) at great length the reaction my employer had to this letter, other than to say it was rejected. I may write a post about the whole experience after outcomes are decided.
My decision to safeguard my health and naturally acquired immunity from the delta wave last July has so far cost me -a personally rewarding and very interesting career installing/troubleshooting LC-MS systems for Waters Technologies, my health insurance for my wife and I, about 40k/yr in lost salary and benefits (which includes the aforementioned ins).
However, I gained the following:
No chance to be a VAERS number.
The respect of my wife for taking a stand.
Respect from my brother whom I’d been too long estranged from.
Respect from many coworkers who thanked me for standing up and being active early on in the effort to challenge the CEO narrative (Waters proudly announced their mandate in mid-August, months before Joey Mumbles made it, you know, “the thing.)
Respect from friends at our small self serve dog wash my wife and I operate.
The self-discovery that there is a hill I will die on.
No more Monday- Friday trips away from my wife, dogs, home.
A 10 minute commute to my new job, where no one has to take the jab (but they’re all youngsters there so they did anyway and omicron has been a bitch to most all last 2 weeks).
Being home more has strengthened my faith and my marriage. I didn’t fully realize how toxic the excess travel was and that my wife and I were living such separate lives.
