Using microwave tech built by Raytheon to burn peaceful protestors…could never happen here, right?

Australian police burn anti-mandate protesters with directed energy beams

The use of short thread on LRAD/DEW Directed Energy Weapons against peaceful Australian protestors likely violates the Geneva Convention and could therefore constitute a war crime since it is prohibited to use weapons which cause excessive suffering against civilians.

A spokesman for ACT Policing has confirmed that LRADs were deployed during the anti-vaccine protests.

Last weekend in Canberra the Australian Federal Police Commissioner Reece Kershaw complained that the grassroots movement against forced jabs were a “challenge” for law enforcement. Videos from the march show huge crowds rising up against their government’s dictates which is why pro-mandate government officials retaliated.

The police deployed long-range acoustic devices (LRADs), which transmit at high volumes and frequencies. Even if they are referred to as “non-lethal weapons”, Canberra protesters (including women and children) were badly burned by directed microwave energy beams, complaining of blisters on their faces, arms, and torsos. Concentrated microwave radiation can inflict painful burns on the skin from long distances away.

Protesters were also reporting feeling nauseous, and suffering from vertigo and dizziness – outcomes associated with acoustic crowd control weapons.

In the US it is known as “Active Denial technology”, developed expressly as a crowd-control weapon. Unveiled in 2001, these wavelengths heat the outer surface, penetrating only the surface of the skin. But this is deep enough to affect great pain and trigger the same reflex reaction as being scalded by hot tea. It has an effective range of several hundred meters and can be aimed very easily.

The manufacturer, Raytheon, actually built a miniature Active Denial system which appears to be the same one which the Australians have deployed. The Australian police purchased LRAD devices as early as 2016.

According to the Geneva Convention: “Parties to a conflict shall at all times distinguish between the civilian population and combatants in order to spare civilian population and property. Neither the civilian population as such nor civilian persons shall be the object of attack. Attacks shall be directed solely against military objectives.”

MP Craig Kelly has promised to set up a “Royal Commission into Police Misconduct and Criminality” to “establish as a matter of urgency […] the abuse of ‘sound weapons’ that Australian Police forces have acquired”.

The Australians are exhibit A as to why you never give up your guns.
There are many others, but they gave them just ‘cuz.

A microwave radiation weapon can be nullified with a projectile weapon. Knock out the active source, the power, or the operators. Authorities don’t want the civil population to have this alternative, so this why they want to remove the right to self-defense with firearms.
Guns are the cheapest and best option for people who can’t leverage expensive technology, so we see financial restrictions, legislative actions, and outright bans to own them or the means of their manufacture. As small-scale printing and CNC machining technology gets cheaper the means to produce homemade weapon parts will become a lucrative proposition for many. Machinists and tool and die workers will be some very important people.

Think about it … the ability to make black market arms like blowback sub-machine guns will become possible in your garage. As an independent-minded sort, I kinda like that possibility.

Yeah, good luck with that.

We can prosecute all the war crimes we want, just so long as we first set up our own legitimate government first.

This is just disgusting. I heard about this a year ago. My daughter, a government employee, told me they were warned about them as people in Consulates around the world have had injuries from them for the last several years. Brake out your guns and this is what they have in store for us.

I doubt this stuff is very good against armed people. A few solid hits on it or the operator should do it in.

Thank you for submitting this, Nkit. Without proof and just researching and making up my own mind, I think it’s already happening. People have their own lines of what is unbelievable, and something like this seems to be one of them. Not going into more here for now. Thanks again for posting.

I very much doubt that they can beam further than a steel core can travel. They ever try that here it will have an interesting result. You can’t tell me that our corrupt LEO’s haven’t thought of that too.

This is hardware worthy of seizure.
All weaponry in possession of a criminal government should be a direct target of seizure and re-utilization.
LRAD personnel have little protection from this device other than being behind the transmitter.
Put them in front of it.

It won’t. Glass/ceramic so it won’t take much force to destroy it.

Yup, you and mark both. I am continually dumfounded by the refusal to believe things that are not even close to being far fetched. The dangers of microwave have been published too many times to explain or excuse the lack of belief that with our nearly unlimited budgets for war we wouldn’t have developed these things. I can’t even convince people of the chemtrails half the time.

LRADs were used to disperse crowds at the G20 summit in Pittsburgh in 2009, development goes back to the 90’s or before.

I was following a technology called LIPC a few years ago.
It’s Laser Induced Plasma Channeling, which is a short-ranged tech where high frequency lasers create a highly conductive superheated ion stream in the air. The ions make a path for an electrical pulse down the ion stream, basically hitting the target with an induced lightning bolt. The Navy picked up the tech and bought the rights from a company claiming to have a means of defeating IED’s at range.

Cool stuff.

Why does it surprise people when governments show themselves to be the enemy of the people? Did you really think they were on your side? ALL government if feudal. That means they are the masters, and you are worthless peasants.
The purpose of government is to exploit the peasants to create wealth for the elite. The peasants are always a threat and the enemy of the government, and the elite who own them. Whenever the peasants attempt to stand up for themselves, they must be crushed. When will you realize you are nothing more than domesticated livestock for the wealthy elite?
