The day Russia’s patience ran out

Guest Post by Dmitry Orlov

Today’s date, commonly written out as 22.02.2022, will be an easy one for future schoolchildren to remember. Various people will remember it in various ways. The residents of Donetsk and Lugansk, the two formerly Ukrainian, now once again Russian cities that have been subjected to conditions bordering on genocide since the US-instigated government overthrow of 2014 will remember jubilantly dancing in the streets, shooting off lots of fireworks, waving Russian flags and hollering the Russian national anthem. For them, this is the day on which new hope arrived that their eight-year nightmare would soon be over and life would finally return to normal.

The badly informed new German chancellor inadvertently helped to resolve the situation by saying that the idea of a Ukrainian-caused genocide in the Donbass is ridiculous. Given the history of the region, the public spectacle of a German leader using the words “genocide” and “ridiculous” in the same sentence made the moment pregnant with possibilities. Here is the information the seemingly rather dim-witted chancellor was missing.

There were 9,282 dead on the Donbass side (70% of them civilians) and 114 children. The dead on the Ukrainian side (the Ukrainian troops and various assorted mercenaries that had been attacking and laying siege to the Donbass since 2014) numbered 20,186. This was prior to the renewed Ukrainian shelling of recent days. There were also over two million Donbass refugees in Russia, more than one million in the Ukraine and around 50 thousand in Belarus.

Most Russians will also remember this day with relief as the day their government finally—finally! after eight literally bloody years!—determined that a negotiated settlement in the Ukraine would simply never happen and that there was no point in waiting any further before going ahead and cleaning it up.

It was cathartic for them to hear their president unleash a torrent of truth about the Ukraine, calling it a Bolshevist concoction of mostly historically Russian lands that was simply never intended for independent statehood, pointing out that it never paid its share of Soviet-era foreign debt (Russia paid it off on its behalf), that it refused to turn over Russian assets with which it incidentally ended up, and instead soaked up several hundred billion dollars of Russian subsidies, that it extorted money for the use of its Soviet-built gas pipeline that it got free of charge, and that it has squandered and stolen the rest of its vast Soviet patrimony.

He also mentioned was the Ukraine’s stated ambitions simultaneously to join NATO and to invade Crimea—automatically triggering a world war. He mentioned its stated ambition to use plutonium from its spent nuclear fuel stockpiles and rockets left over from the Soviet times to concoct weapons of mass destruction—a situation that simply had to be dealt with. Finally, he made clear that all of the Ukrainian war crimes of the past eight years have been carefully documented and that all of these war criminals will be brought to justice.

This speech came soon after a televised session of Russia’s Security Council at which all of the key ministers spoke and all of them spoke in favor of giving recognition to Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. Prime Minster Mishustin said that they have been preparing for the inevitable fallout for some time and are ready for it, so let’s just do it. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, when asked whether it would be worthwhile to continue negotiations with the West over the Ukraine said that it is “a matter of taste” but that nothing would ever come of them. And Defense Minister Shoigu simply said, very quietly: “Let’s go ahead. Let’s do it.” The answer as to why Russia waited for so long to take this step is that it hadn’t been ready: the Russian economy hadn’t yet been bulletproofed against all possible sanctions; not all diplomatic methods of resolving the problem had been tried; and the military wasn’t quite ready to deal with the situation swiftly and efficiently.

And then came the signing ceremony, where Vladimir Putin, Denis Pushilin of Donetsk People’s Republic and Leonid Pasechnik of the Lugansk People’s Republic signed the documents granting them recognition. Written into these one-page orders was an order from Putin to the Russian military to provide for the establishment of peace. There is a very interesting question as to the borders in which this peace will be established. You see, after the unconstitutional overthrow of the democratically elected government in Kiev in 2014, Donetsk and Lugansk seceded as intact regions.

Later, in the course of Kiev’s “anti-terrorist operation” (the prefix “anti-” here being rather superfluous) these regions came to be partially occupied by Ukrainian forces. It seems outlandish to imagine that Russia, in the course of recognizing the independence and sovereignty of Donetsk and Lugansk, also granted recognition to partial Ukrainian occupation thereof. It is far more likely that the Russian forces will now politely ask the Ukrainian forces to clear out by a certain deadline or, failing to do so, be killed or captured.

Finally, Western leaders may not realize this right away (they seem to be in a rather sorry state mentally) but it seems likely that they will eventually realize that 22.02.2022 was the day their bullshit finally stopped working. The idea of them spreading freedom and democracy rather than death and destitution (as evidenced by the Ukraine, on top of a log list of other countries they have “liberated” and “democratized”) is beyond preposterous. The idea that the US is a global hegemon and can dictate terms to everyone is dead as dead can be. NATO unity is just a couple of meaningless words on a piece of paper.

Talking trash, such as demanding that Russia fulfill the terms of the Minsk agreements (according to which it has zero obligations) has no effect. It may take a little longer for them to realize that imposing additional sanctions on Russia is a really excellent way for them to pay $200 a barrel for oil while freezing in the dark. And at some point they will also realize that they have no choice but to grant the security guarantees that Russia has demanded because they have already done so, in speech and in writing, and weaseling out of their security commitments is not an option.

It will be quite a steep learning curve for them and there is a question as to whether they can learn at all. The only ability they have demonstrated is for repeating the same litany of lies over and over again. Having been purpose-bred to carry water for banking and corporate interests, they may not be capable of the required level of rational thought. And that raises another question: What are the people in the West going to do about them?

They really outflanked the NATO in every aspect of modern warfare. They way they took the Donbass was nothing short of brilliant in the psyop/propaganda war. Good for them at finding the most peaceful solution available without provoking a war from psycho jews.

Check out the four part interview of Putin by Oliver Stone, was on Showtime this week. Filmed 5+ years ago, it is still pertinent to what’s going on today.

Indeed, he thinks circles around what the US has for politicians.

The real New Order of the Ages is the era begun with the founding of a Constitutional Republic in America, and the new order was to be that of a government ruled by the People and given tasks to accomplish, foremost among them, preserving the blessings of liberty by protecting everyone’s rights equally under the law.

The old order, to which we have returned, is one of people ruled by a Sovereign.

Certainly a central bank was always seen as necessary for the maintenance of any Sovereign government, and just as certainly, the New Order of the Ages created by our Constitution does not authorize the national government to create a central bank, or to issue scrip in whatever quantities it desires.

Don’t attack the bank while ignoring the people who created and sustain it.

And wise you proved to be, because I found out 2 hours ago that Russia has ordered Ukraine to lay down its arms so they can “de-militarize and de-Nazifi” Ukraine, which is hilarious.

It is even more hilarious considering the corner they are backed into if they attack Russia to “defend” Ukraine, because the moment they do that Taiwan falls and they will use the same rhetoric as NATO and crash the whole house of cards as trust in the system collapses. Possibly without many shots fired, but who knows unless you are there.

Putin values and protects his kinsmen. What a concept. Makes sense to me – even if the American ruling elite doesn’t believe in the idea of kin – aside from (((you know who))). Go Putin! Fuck the GAE.

The function of the US military is to intimidate other countries into letting the US buy whatever it wants by printing US dollars as needed […] Once their ability to intimidate the world into submission is gone […] all that will remain of the “richest country in the world” is a pile of worthless paper. America has the resources to protect itself without going abroad seeking enemies and the resources for the prosperity that will make us strong. If we traded freely with only Canada and the rest of the Americas, things would be quite tolerable. But, we all need freedom first and above all else.

The American Military has become a pathetic joke, run by fools and career opportunists and traitors. The American State Department is another sick joke, a tool to spread dissention and destruction across the globe so the MIC and weapons and munitions manufacturers can prosper while the dollar is upheld and destroyed simultaneously. The Federal Government is a massive cesspool of corruption populated with career criminals and unelected despots, and oligarths.
Putin is no fool, some believe he’s compromised, a NWO stooge. Time will tell, but Nuland, the evil and poisonous toad who worked so hard to destroy the Ukraine must be gnashing her teeth in fury. May she and all her foul ilk rot in hell.

I think BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba should secede from Canada and join with the American Redoubt…….ID, MT, WY, and Western ND/SD. We can’t be landlocked so we will have to remove the parasites from WA/OR, hopefully peacefully. I see the US breaking up over the next 15 years……the chance to reconcile is long gone and nobody really has the appetite for a civil war…..but secede and go our own way…absolutely. The Ukrainian project will come to a similar end. The ethnic Russians want nothing to do with the Ukrainians or the Jews in the South. Putin is a savage but at least he loves his country and its people and he has their support. He has played his hand very effectively. Fuck Europe, let them freeze or pay high prices……..and feel really good about stopping global warming!

It was our manifest destiny….everybody knows that. I am still so shocked when I think about the shit our ancestors went through to populate the West…..Living in Montana I see and talk with lots of native Americans…..they are huge and unbelievably tough people….even after living on reservations for 150 years with shit food and bad water. I can’t imagine what the pioneers thought…..numbers and guns do make a difference and the strategic removal of the buffalo doomed the plains Indians. I hate to say it but historically “might makes right” is all too often accurate…we decimated the Native Americans…because we could….we fucked the French, then the British and then the Spanish and Mexicans and Russians…..because we could…..eventually somebody is really going to kick our ass……might be China but I suspect we have too many tech surprises for them beyond just nukes that actually work. Someday the USA will be gone…..but just like folks thought Russia was gone in 1990…..it didn’t happen…..they are not what they were but are still regionally potent. Actually having a failed state to our south and now a dictatorship to our north…..maybe we will stay home and be more cautious.

I upset one of my Jr. High teachers when I heard of Manifest Destiny by asking, “How did they know when to stop? Why didn’t our destiny extend to all the Americas?”

As for the French, British and Spanish, they were powerful empires who hated the idea of America, and we were correct to destroy their power here.

The Native tribes were mostly barbarians unwilling to reach any accommodations with Europeans largely because the tribes lived by the idea that “might makes right”, and completely miscalculated the might of the European and American settlers. Not only that, but war was so deeply embedded in most of their cultures that they couldn’t even imagine not sending the young men out to make war.

By the time of the Mexican War, reactionaries (against the limits of the Constitution) were in charge, and the Military had cool new weapons they wanted to use, and probably arms manufacturers were lobbying in Washington… And slavers in Texas wanted to be part of the U.S. after Mexico abolished slavery.

BTW, our Drug Wars and drug prohibitions have done much to make Mexico a failed state.

I find it interesting that the only fight in the Brandon administration is more sanctions. How do you put sanctions on a nation that has 11 time zones and has almost zero trade with you to threaten them with? We don’t make anything they need and they are laughing at our sanctions.

I bet that there are a lot of string-pullers at the moment wondering if aligning themselves with a guy that showered with his underage daughter and currently does nothing but shit his pants is gonna be on the right side of history.

Putin just stared down a supposed “superpower”, the EU and NATO like it was nothing. I’m certain that China is studying all of this to measure our response to their upcoming actual invasion of Taiwan.

Now do Texas (or most of The West since Tibet, etc. have already the same ‘rational’ used on them).

So, a country where its people were subjects of genocide, replaced by ‘their conquerors’, made a second-class minority in their own country …

Claiming that foreign nationals ‘settled’ (by a hostile foreign power) in a country are jubilant when their presence is used as an excuse to annex the country (by that self same foreign power) is not just disingenuous, but hypocritical and … yes, evil.

Yes, Crimea is ‘different’, there ‘you’ didn’t leave enough alive (those not simply murdered, sent to Siberia) to constitute a native population any more. Replacing them entirely with ‘good Russians’.

Are The West’s ‘leaders’ corrupt, bumbling fools? Unquestionably, but Russia is a genocidal, amoral, corrupt (even more so than Ukrainian native ‘elitists’ – who just all ‘coincidentally’ happen to be former ‘Soviet’ apparatchiks) nation led by a mercenary monomaniac (with press who phrase his actions as ‘protecting his countrymen’ – plus ca change plus c’est la meme chose, there’s still no Pravda in Isvestia … or in articles by Orlov, a bought and paid for member of Putins favored press).

So? Forgive me if I choose not to ‘celebrate’ the invasion and seizure of another nations territory, subjugation of its native populace, theft of its resources all to enrich Putin (and his cronies) and in an attempt to resurrect the despicable Soviet Empire.

(Oh, and for those using it as yet another excuse to, whine and attack The West. Yes, ‘our’ leaders are incompetent and corrupt, our systems, deliberately, failing. But in comparison you still live in a veritable paradise compared to ‘citizens’ of Russia, let alone the ‘serfs’ of China.

Hint: The very people destroying our institutions and culture are those leftists so enamored of Putin and marxism, following ‘their’ plan. So stop aiding them ).

The native American tribes did not constitute or create a nation in America. They were tribes who constantly warred with each other (and sometimes committed genocide on other tribes) over the rights to exclusively use land.

Yes, the Spanish conquered Mexico and murdered many of the (bloodthirsty) indigenous people. Then the French conquered Spanish Mexico, and later a revolution put (mainly Spanish) Mexicans in charge again, at least until Spain took over again… It goes on, but the bottom line is, The Texans had every bit as much of a “right” to declare their independence from Mexico as the (white Spanish) Mexicans had to declare their own independence.

I must say that having a lot of family in Ukraine, I have very mixed emotions about this. While I fully understand Russian’s stance and actually agree that the USA should stay out of Ukraine’s affairs, I am very much upset about how Russia handled this military action. My relatives in Poltava were hearing bombs in the middle of night while other relatives and friends were hiding down in the basement of their apartment buildings in Kyiv. Some with very sick family members and babies.

Having lived in Ukraine, I am upset over Maidan and how stupid that Ukrainians can be to let Soros, Obama and other thugs in, but I do believe that Putin should have taken care of that back in 2014 and done it in a much more precise way. Maybe I’m wrong, but this is quite upsetting to get messages on my phones knowing that bombs are being dropped just a few kilometers from my relatives houses. Also very upsetting seeing people back in 2014 walking with banners of the old Ukrainian regiments tied to the SS.

While I respect Orlov’s point of view, this is all much more of a mess now than before just like the way that Trudeau unwilling to talk to the truckers. Then releasing his “shock and awe” and now leaving a bloody stain on Canada forever.

Then look at the ruble taking a serious hit today knowing that it also effects the people in Russia that I have befriended over the years. Now these people will be anathema to the world and could be banned from ever working or living in the USA, Canada, UK, etc. Many of them lived in poverty in Russia and having the ability to move to either of these countries was a blessing – a blessing that allowed them to send extra money back home to family of which now will never happen.

Pandora’s box while lodged open a tad due to America’s follies in Egypt, Syria, the former Yugoslavia, etc. is now wide open as of today. Turkey, Czech Republic who normally are very cool with Russian condemned Putin, so can only imagine at how angry and fearful that countries like Poland, Finland, Latvia and others right now.

A certain German general warned the world about the possibility of Europe becoming a total future disaster if Germany lost the war, seems that old general was correct. No, I’m not supporter of Hitler or the Reich, but curious if that old general was correct in his prediction.

So now we have a world with a immoral America, a now assertive Russia and a Communist Chinese government where evil is the name of their game.

As I write this, the Ruble is 85 to $1 US. That’s 1.1 cents and not worth much now. That too effects the buying power of the average Russian who lives in Moscow or St. Petersburg and makes a paltry $700 month. Imagine how they are going to feel now about all of this. I’m sure they could have lived without this.

I’ve been hearing my relatives how much people in Ukraine now hate Putin and Russia, so not much been resolved there other than stewing and fomenting a total hatred between Slavic brothers and sisters. Looking back at history, seems that the troubles and trials of the five princes is occurring once more.

Seems like the Four Horsemen are putting their saddles on their horses this very moment. Rough times ahead for many, many people including the USA.

Concerning the USA, just puzzles me how a ghetto rapper now known as “Ye” formerly Kayne West is late in releasing an album and his fans are terribly angry at him. The same people who would look at this and not give it a moments though until it reaches their door. Then they will cry out “how did this happen!”

The world is a mess and simply attributed by people walking away from Son of God.
