CNN says the majority of people polled are fine with higher gas prices if it helps the Ukrainians’ fight against Russia.  Are you ok with this? Why or why not?

If you’re not ok with it, do you still think we should buy oil and help Russia fund it’s invasion? Do you have a better solution? What should the U.S. do?

It’s important to remember that the pharmacy in DC that all the gov-bots use dispenses incredible amounts of psych drugs, tranquilizers, and other mind-numbing substances to these suicidal Nazi Zionistas, just to keep their heads from exploding due to cognitive dissonance and other ill effects of having to exit reality in order to show up at the office.

Not to mention all the booze and cocaine that is consumed after hours.

There is a fair amount of journalistic documentation of this dispensary available, or used to be at any rate.

It should not be a surprise, in light of this, that a person who maybe used to be a state atty general becomes a total mush-brain when they get to DC.

HE** NO, I am not for higher gas prices to help Ukraine. A year ago it cost $22 to fill up my wife’s car and now it is approaching $50.

BTW – There is a limited amount of oil on the world market. If we quit buying Russian oil, we will buy oil from some other exporter and Russia will export their oil to someone else. The solution is Drill Baby Drill!

How many Billion$ has Brandon put into the pocket of OPEC and Russia with his ignorant executive actions against domestic oil? Trump was not good on a lot of things, but on oil he kept the price down by not attacking the oil patch.

However, on the plus side, it will mean a lot more exercise, cuz by the time you get home from walking to the store for your beer/liquor, you’ll have drank it all on the way home, and it will be time to turn back around and walk back for more.

I’ll help you out, it’s an average of 19.7 million barrels per day. We imported 12.5 million barrels of oil from Russia for the ENTIRE MONTH of December 2021. We never import more than one and a half days worth of oil in any given month from Russia. My figures came from official eia.gov

Where’s the beef?

Anonymous

  BL
March 10, 2022 5:20 pm

The beef is that it isn’t a very elastic commodity, and changes in supply can result in a disproportionate change in price until it finds a new equilibrium which in our case will be substantially higher.

The other thing is that crude oil isn’t fungible. Refineries are designed and optimized to process certain types. In this case without russian crude many gulf coast refineries will not be able to operate anywhere near full capacity, and it doesn’t matter how much fracking happens when refineries cannot process it; hence, the desperate calls to venezuala.

It’s true Bl. Sorry buddy. This is why they are suddenly visiting Maduro wearing kneepads. Not all gulf refineries are geared to Russian crude but a great many are. We used to get it from Venezuela and Iran so we started buying Russian heavy to substitute.
These heavy crudes yield less gasoline and more diesel fuel.

Quality

Crude oil is not a homogenous product. The U.S. continues to import and export crude oil because the viscosity of oil (measured by its API gravity) being light or heavy and its sulfur content being low (sweet) or high (sour) largely determine the processes needed to refine it into fuel and other products. In general, refineries match their processing capabilities with types of crude oils from around the world that enable them to:

Flea- Somebody is having their way with the truff. Canada and Venezuela are two of the best producers of heavy oil, we actually have heavy oil throughout N.A.

Nothing pushes buyers to electric cars like high prices at the pump. Research what you think you posted as fact. Read section 6 for info on heavy oil/sources.(Chemical Properties)

Also, here is the breakdown from where the US imports most of it’s oil:

Canada 61%

Mexico 11%

Saudi Arabia 8%

Columbia 4%

Most of our oil comes from Canada and Canada has heavy oil.

*** Got to get the sheep into those electric cars****

Fleabaggs
Fleabaggs
  BL
March 11, 2022 12:49 am

Canada is 51% but you are confusing the point. we exported 43 million to Mexico while importing 41 so numbers are misleading. Also, I told you right off venezuela has heavy crude.
The refineries mentioned are geared for a certain kind of heavy oil and to transport canadian oil sands heavy all the way to the gulf to supply those refineries is difficult due to it being so thick.
Why would we be blowing maduro to get him to sell us oil again if we could just buy it from mexico or canada. We export big dollars in refined products like gasoline which if we stopped an enemy could step in to fill the need. We must need a compatible type of heavy found only in certain places.

Regarding the electric car theory, I don’t agree. We will soon be too poor to drive anything not self propelled.

Here is every import/export piece of data you could ever use in a lifetime.

Based on the WWG1WGA maff, that unit must obviously be capable of 137 mph. Platform mounting/clearances looks to be problematic. ‘Series’ connection may be helpful, but then heat dissipation/ bearing rating may become an issue as well. Steering? Not horsing around, but I believe a ‘hand’ = 4″…so a skateboard configuration, 72’8″ long could allow you to ‘lean’ into the turns. Unsure of the ‘G’ loads, maybe one of the ‘New and Improved’ Maternity flight suits would help, and also provide ‘Batteries on board’ storage. Solar panels covering every inch of your body on all sides may prove beneficial in more ways than one, don’t believe the amorphous panels reach ignition teperature under abrasion conditions but some things are best determined empirically…Trial and Error. Also, they have been working tirelessly, money no object, to increase solar panel efficacy. 20% or thereabouts last time i checked.

So, contributed to inflation by adding $45 minimum to every invoice.

I’m sorry … I must have slept in during the early innings of life … but just how do our outrageously high gas prices (a) have anything to do with Ukraine (I seem to recall that Joe Bidet cancelled the XL Pipeline his first EO) and (b) how do they ‘support’ Ukrainian interests?

If that snarky j a p Vic Nuland had kept herself back in israel or somewhere out of our way in ’14, Ukraine would likely still have a democratically-elected government instead of the jews in control of it today … and our CIA and its minions would have likely kept busy fomenting discontent somewhere else for the past 8 years.

By the way — gas prices at my local Costco have gone up almost 80¢ in just 6 days …

Not buying oil from Russia to “help Ukraine” is a poster child for cutting off your nose to spite your face. Russia will just find other buyers for that oil, while the American consumer just gets screwed.

I don’t think this has anything to do at all with Ukraine. It has everything to do with the chickens of Biden’s retarded energy policies and the two years of Monopoly money printing coming home to roost. Ukraine is nothing more that a convenient fall guy.

The only way the idiot masses will get their fat asses off their couches and actually do something, is when the pain becomes more than they can take. Maybe, just maybe, if gas goes to $10 and bread goes to $15 the dumb shit democrats will wake up and realize that there is such a thing as cause and effect, and that stupid actions have bad consequences. Won’t work like that. A wokie cannot think and only feels. The cause of anything only causes a wokie to employ wokism, which is absolute focus on results not causes. Thinking would be the abandonment of principle. Then by focusing on results the cause can be divorced from reality so that anything and everything can be implemented if that results in feelings being assuaged or even elevated. This simplifies life and feels nice.

Somehow, we get the truckers that deliver fuel to gas stations to go on strike for 2-3 weeks and force DC to open Anwar, keystone, etc. See how fast Biden succumbs to that kind of pressure.

Hell no I’m not fine with it. All the increase so far has just been Biden’s background inflation–you know, just day to day destruction of America. The ban on Russian oil will cause it to double again from this point. We will just call that part Bidens’ ban. Oil is a very marketable and fungible commodity so No we are not funding “Russias’ war by buying it–They’ll just sell it to someone else at the new higher price. We need to buy Russias’ oil simply because our leaders are too stupid to allow us to drill for our own

Help Ukraine? Oh please What a farce, a gaslighting of galactic proportions, the propaganda so dense it eclipses black holes. The entire thing is one massive and scripted plan to usher in Agenda 21. Problem is, the fools who actually believe in the ‘green energy’ bullshit, who are running the show, haven’t a clue about reality.

Rising gas prices will not help Ukraine.

Here is what Americans maybe can afford to drive, given all the debt they have accumulated:

Long term stupid decisions have consequences you know. Enormous debt, a huge free shit army, massive numbers of govt drones, unfunded liabilities, stupid energy policies and climate change idiots, supply chains reliant on cheap fuel, etc. were always going to lead to problems. Buy bicycle futures. I think you will see an awful lot of them on the streets.

Fourteen billion dollars going to the Ukes via Congress. Never pass up a crisis when there’s money to be made. Oh, let the kickbacks roll on. And on and on!

The U.S. oil companies have more oil than they know what to do with and are paying high fees to store it. The high prices are not due to Ukraine, but rather the U.S. oil companies are making up for the 50% decrease in revenues during the covid plandemic.

Our gas prices going up isn’t helping Ukraine. Why can’t we just drill and reduce our dependence? Is that too tough of a question to answer?

I paid 3.699 last night which is probably cheap. Not to me. It cost 35.00 to fill up just over 1/2 tank. That isn’t much, but I have a subcompact and have never paid that much to fill an entire tank. Something more sinister this way comes.
