Metra initially fought the overruling of the diaper mandate, but later reversed itself and “welcomed” its ridership to wear masks. Most people took them up on that polite way of putting it. That included many people who grumbled on the platform for months about wearing them. I asked a grumbler why she wasn’t taking her face diaper off, and she admitted she wasn’t ready yet. I shut my pie hole after that because we are asked to be sensitive and respect their feewings.
