Would Putin Use Nukes?

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrei Kozyrev served under Putin’s predecessor Boris Yeltsin in the 1990s. From his former position within the Russian Federation, Kozyrev believes Putin would only use nuclear weapons in “very specific situations.” Namely, if NATO became involved and Russia was backed into a corner from which there was no escape. “If Russia or one of those countries really threatened in their hearts – existentially, that is … if NATO troops come to Moscow, then probably they will resort to nuclear weapons,” Kozyrev told reporters.

Ukraine’s Zelensky has been touting that Russia is close to using chemical and nuclear weapons against Ukraine. “Not only me — all of the world, all of the countries have to be worried because it can be not real information, but it can be truth,” Zelensky said to CNN reporters, strategically in English. Zelensky stated that all nations should be concerned about Russia’s nuclear capabilities, but Putin is not that ignorant. The goal is to secure land that is believed to belong to the Russian people, not to create a nuclear world war. Putin believes he is winning the global battle financially by saying Russian sanctions have led to a “deterioration of the economy in the West.”

Similar to North Korea launching missile exercises to remind the world not to invade, Russia is touting its nuclear capabilities as a scare tactic to prevent the NATO alliance from decimating their country.

Could the warmongers in Washington be so stupid? Yes they could and they have proven it time and time again.

It is the belief of many, including Gonzola Lira and the Alex/Alexander team that the people and evidence under the Azovstal steel plant is so incriminating to our rogue administration and NATO’s hubric leadership that the Ukrainians are being forced to sacrifice their homeland to keep the world from learning the truth.

NATO forces are there at either a large underground bunker controlling the Ukrainians or there are bioweapons being manufactured there in secret. Either way, USA is heavily incriminated, it is said. By others in addition to those guys. I’ve really been following this closely because if and when we see a Red Dawn here with a complete loss of power on the grid I will want to know who is likely to show up at our charming little hillbilly community first: Loafers or Losers?

Putin is certainly not ignorant and is reaffirming “MAD” with his declaration. Putin is no saint and is a dictator in everything but name. However, Russia is a sovereign country with a right to defend itself from the mess that is NATO. It continues to be foolish by all players to think that Putin and Russia will go down without a fight this time…. this isn’t the old Soviet Union and America doesn’t bear the light of freedom it once did. There is no rally point to distinguish the good vs the bad actors because every side seems just like more of same “Good for a few and bad for most”.

In “Blackhawk Down” the Delta Force sergeant indicated that once anything gets started the number one thing is protecting your own backside, not holding a debate over the righteousness of the cause. He said something like “when that first bullet snaps past your head, politics and all that shit goes right out the window.” After that it feeds on itself.

Putin; “There is no world without Russia”
Seems pretty clear.
The guy holding the nuclear hand grenade is saying, “If I’m going down, I’m taking you with me.”

Except he isn’t going down, plus he has something better than a hand grenade.

I read it as “We are watching you closely. If you clearly seem to be preparing for a massive attack on us, we WILL do a full-on nuclear preventive strike on you – to which, we remind you, you have no defense due to our hypersonic missiles.”

All ICBMs are hypersonic. I do believe Russia could first strike us sufficiently to prevent MAD, but it is going to get pretty angry.

However, I am with HF on this: If nuke bombs were real, they would have been used by now and Hiroshima and Nagasaki are not convincing evidence.
