Your order came out through a drawer, like at the bank. Any threatening moves by the customer and the clerk had you in an airlock to await the arrival of the police. This was in deepest, darkest Memphrica.
Also remember a store in Honduras where there was a cubby hole for the customer and the clerk would fetch all your goods which were behind her. No bulletproof glass, though like the ones in Memphrica

Personal behavioral bias is a huge problem too. Very few can conceptualize others doing things they would not do themselves. Even if you show them the evidence, they immediately start dismiss it as “unique” or “rare” event, not common occurrence. The classics never get old. Commented about this yesterday. About the only semi-auto pistol I prefer is the tried and true 1911. While I am trying my damnest to get on target with 9mm/40 at 15-20 yards, the 1911 is a tack driver even out 30 yards with iron sites.
The Ruger American .45 is my recommendation for anyone looking for a reliable .45 acp. Has way less recoil than a 1911, 10+1, Novak sights and a 4 pound super smooth trigger.
You may want to try something like Aimshot pistol caliber laser bore sights. They will get you real close without expending ammo trying to figure out where the bullet is going.
I have a Remington stainless 1911 and a Kimber model. The thought has crossed my mind to try a “plastic” 45 ACP from Glock/Ruger/S&W. But I love my 1911s too much to find an alternative. I load my own target loads and found a lot of accuracy in the Hornady 200gr target bullet.
Browning preferred a 200 grain. The military wanted 230.
Win,I also have issue with 9.m.m.,just seems tis a snappy round and most do not have the weight of say a 1911 to keep in check a bit and drop back on target quicker,eh,will keep working it while going with tried and true 1911 as I have the 9 and a lot of ammo for said 9.
Yea I just find most semi-auto pistols to lack in excitement for plinking. Perhaps you are correct, their small size and weight makes them harder to keep in check. Many “experts” who shoot those type of pistols much more than I will probably disagree, but to each their own. I will say that I love shooting 9mm out of my Ruger PC carbine rifle. I get on target easily with iron sites out at 100 yards. I plan to get a 40 cal version of the same rifle shortly.

My last 1911 was declared worn out and shelved when it decidedly disassembled itself after a couple rounds. The keeper pin popped out and the barrel/slide ended up at my feet and me holding the grips… It was a very wobbly gun but it chucked rocks downrange reliably, even taught my kids to run it. The dead kid (liming) and three friends went to a basketball court where they started shooting three black kids with a SplatRBall gun. That didn’t go well, as you might imagine, and the white kid got beat up and died as a result of that stupidity. Was the response over the top? Sure. But play stupid games and win stupid prizes.
The statement that “he was just trying to play a pickup game of basketball” is flat incorrect. Those white kids went there and provoked some trouble, and it went bad. Blacks do not respond to “disrespect” with restraint.
