that reminds me of when i was just out of high school in 1976—i worked at busch gardens at one of the hamburger stands,back when they stereotyped us & put the guys on the hot grills & the girls up waiting on customers–
even though we were many miles from the gulf,many seagulls were attracted there–at lunchtime there would be a 100 or more gulls flying around–
to make matters worse,there weren’t really enough food facilities there so when it was busy people could easily wait in line for 30-45 minutes between waiting to have their order taken & the food being cooked–
you can imagine people’s anger when after all that time & laying out $15-16 for the family to eat,they would be carrying a tray & seagulls would either steal the food or more often crap on it–
it was such a problem that mgmt had some of the bird trainers 4 the garden birds such as the macaws try to train the gulls to stay away–
as i recall,they finally gave up & said the gulls were too stupid to train–
Surprise and speed of attack: the bird is master over the dumbass human.
