All of the local news stations are owned by a few corporations and for years have spouted the corporate line or the newscaster was fired.
“Newscasters” have next to no input into whatever they’re told to read on-air. Some of the most successful names in broadcasting came to the work via disc-jockeying (although, honestly, I’d trust the opinions of a disc-jockey far more than an honors graduate of any “school of journalism”.

I sent an email to KTRK 13 in Houston earlier this week after a story about a colored woman complaining about kids making monkey noises during a basketball game.
In my message I said that KTRK never misses a chance to bash White people, and it’s made easier for them because there is not a single White face to be seen during their morning broadcast.
Like magic, the very next morning I see not one but two White faces…one was the weatherman, the other a very pregnant news anchor who the day before was a street reporter.
It pays to point out the hypocrisy of news outlets sometimes.
