America’s Open Wound

Guest Post by Edward Snowden

The CIA is not your friend

“Better that right counsels be known to enemies than that the evil secrets of tyrants should be concealed from the citizens. They who can treat secretly of the affairs of a nation have it absolutely under their authority; and as they plot against the enemy in time of war, so do they against the citizens in time of peace.”

Baruch Spinoza

It hasn’t been a month since President Biden mounted the steps of Philadelphia’s Independence Hall, declaring it his duty to ensure each of us understands the central faction of his political opposition are extremists that “threaten the very foundations of our Republic.” Flanked by the uniformed icons of his military and standing atop a Leni Riefenstahl stage, the leader clenched his fists to illustrate seizing the future from the forces of “fear, division, and darkness.” The words falling from the teleprompter ran rich with the language of violence, a “dagger at the throat” emerging from the “shadow of lies.”

“What’s happening in our country,” the President said, “is not normal.”

Is he wrong to think that? The question the speech intended to raise—the one lost in the unintentionally villainous pageantry—is whether and how we are to continue as a democracy and a nation of laws. For all the Twitter arguments over Biden’s propositions, there has been little consideration of his premises.

Democracy and the rule of law have been so frequently invoked as a part of the American political brand that we simply take it for granted that we enjoy both.

Are we right to think that?

Our glittering nation of laws observes this year two birthdays: the 70th anniversary of the National Security Agency, on which my thoughts have been recorded, and the 75th anniversary of the Central Intelligence Agency.

The CIA was founded in the wake of the 1947 National Security Act. The Act foresaw no need for the Courts and Congress to oversee a simple information-aggregation facility, and therefore subordinated it exclusively to the President, through the National Security Council he controls.

Within a year, the young agency had already slipped the leash of its intended role of intelligence collection and analysis to establish a covert operations division. Within a decade, the CIA was directing the coverage of American news organizations, overthrowing democratically elected governments (at times merely to benefit a favored corporation), establishing propaganda outfits to manipulate public sentiment, launching a long-running series of mind-control experiments on unwitting human subjects (purportedly contributing to the creation of the Unabomber), and—gaspinterfering with foreign elections. From there, it was a short hop to wiretapping journalists and compiling files on Americans who opposed its wars.

In 1963, no less than former President Harry Truman confessed that the very agency he personally signed into law had transformed into something altogether different than he intended, writing:

“For some time I have been disturbed by the way CIA has been diverted from its original assignment. It has become an operational and at times a policy-making arm of the Government. This has led to trouble…”

Many today comfort themselves by imagining that the Agency has been reformed, and that such abuses are relics of the distant past, but what few reforms our democracy has won have been watered-down or compromised. The limited “Intelligence Oversight” role that was eventually conceded to Congress in order to placate the public has never been taken seriously by either the committee’s majority—which prefers cheerleading over investigating—or by the Agency itself, which continues to conceal politically-sensitive operations from the very group most likely to defend them.

“Congress should have been told,” said [Senator] Dianne Feinstein. “We should have been briefed before the commencement of this kind of sensitive program. Director Panetta… was told that the vice president had ordered that the program not be briefed to Congress.”

How can we judge the ultimate effectiveness of oversight and reforms? Well, the CIA plotted to assassinate my friend, American whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg, in 1972, yet nearly fifty years of “reforms” did little to inhibit them from recently sketching out another political murder targeting Julian Assange. Putting that in perspective, you probably own shoes older than the CIA’s most recent plot to murder a dissident… or rather the most recent plot that we know of.

If you believe the Assange case to be a historical anomaly, some aberration unique to Trump White House, recall that the CIA’s killings have continued in series across administrations. Obama ordered the killing of an American far from any battlefield, and killed his 16 year-old American son a few weeks later, but the man’s American daughter was still alive by the time Obama left.

Within a month of entering the White House, Trump killed her.

She was 8 years old.

Nawar al-Awlaki

It goes beyond assassinations. Within recent memory, the CIA captured Gul Rahman, who we know was not Al-Qaeda, but it seems did save the life of Afghanistan’s future (pro-US) President. Rahman was placed in what the Agency described as a “dungeon” and tortured until he died.

They stripped him naked, save a diaper he couldn’t change, in a cold so wicked that his guards, in their warm clothes, ran heaters for themselves. In absolute darkness, they bolted his hands and feet to a single point on the floor with a very short chain so that it was impossible to stand or lie down – a practice called “short shackling” – and after he died, claimed that it was for his own safety. They admit to beating him, even describing the “forceful punches.” They describe the blood that ran from his nose and mouth as he died.

Short-shackling, as described by survivors

Pages later, in their formal conclusion, the Agency declares that there was no evidence of beating. There was no of evidence torture. The CIA ascribes responsibility for his death to hypothermia, which they blamed on him for the crime of refusing, on his final night, a meal from the men that killed him.

The CIA claimed the complaints of a man they tortured to death — regarding the violation of his human rights — were evidence of a “sophisticated level of resistance training.”

In the aftermath, the Agency concealed the death of Gul Rahman from his family. To this day, they refuse to reveal what happened to his remains, denying those who survive him a burial, or even some locus of mourning.

Ten years after the torture program investigated, exposed, and ended, no one was charged for their role in these crimes. The man responsible for Rahman’s death was recommended for a $2,500 cash award — for “consistently superior work”.

A different torturer was elevated to the Director’s seat.

The Judgment of Solomon, Rubens, 1617

This summer, in a speech marking the occasion of the CIA’s 75th birthday, President Biden struck a quite different note than he did in Philadelphia, reciting what the CIA instructs all presidents: that the soul of the institution really lies in speaking truth to power.

“We turn to you with the big questions,” Biden said, “the hardest questions. And we count on you to give your best, unvarnished assessment of where we are.  And I emphasize “‘unvarnished.’”

But this itself is a variety of varnishing — a whitewash.

For what reason do we aspire to maintain — or achieve — a nation of laws, if not to establish justice?

Let us say we have a democracy, shining and pure. The people, or in our case some subset of people, institute reasonable laws to which government and citizen alike must answer. The sense of justice that arises within such a society is not produced as a result of the mere presence of law, which can be tyrannical and capricious, or even elections, which face their own troubles, but is rather derived from the reason and fairness of the system that results.

What would happen if we were to insert into this beautiful nation of laws an extralegal entity that is not directed by the people, but a person: the President? Have we protected the nation’s security, or have we placed it at risk?

This is the unvarnished truth: the establishment of an institution charged with breaking the law within a nation of laws has mortally wounded its founding precept.

From the year it was established, Presidents and their cadres have regularly directed the CIA to go beyond the law for reasons that cannot be justified, and therefore must be concealed — classified. The primary result of the classification system is not an increase in national security, but a decrease in transparency. Without meaningful transparency, there is no accountability, and without accountability, there is no learning.

The consequences have been deadly, for both Americans and our victims. When the CIA armed the Mujaheddin to wage war on Soviet Afghanistan, we created al-Qaeda’s Osama bin Laden. Ten years later, the CIA is arming, according to then-Vice President Joe Biden, “al-Nusra, and Al-Qaeda and the extremist elements of jihadis coming from other parts of the world.” After the CIA runs a disinformation operation to make life hard for the Soviet Union by fueling a little proxy war, the war rages for twenty-six years — far beyond the Union’s collapse.

Do you believe that the CIA today — a CIA free from all consequence and accountability — is uninvolved in similar activities? Can you find no presence of their fingerprints in the events of the world, as described in the headlines, that provide cause for concern? Yet it is those who question the wisdom of placing a paramilitary organization beyond the reach of our courts that are dismissed as “naive.”

For 75 years, the American people have been unable to bend the CIA to fit the law, and so the law has been bent to fit the CIA. As Biden stood on the crimson stage, at the site where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were debated and adopted, his words rang out like the cry of a cracked-to-hell Liberty Bell: “What’s happening in our country is not normal.”

If only that were true.

The Death of Achilles, Rubens

Bravo. Say it loud and clear. It is ALL corrupt, top to bottom.
Most are living a life of illusion, crafted with propaganda for many, many decades and have been for a very, very long time. An illusion of choice, an illusion of freedom. An illusion of truth.

“It is the function of mass agitation to exploit all the grievances, hopes, aspirations, prejudices, fears, and ideals of all the special groups that make up our society, social, religious, economic, racial, political. Stir them up. Set one against the other. Divide and conquer. That’s the way to soften up a democracy.”

I hate the word “democracy”.
Not because it isn’t a good thing, but because the word has been used and abused to the point that it is used to describe a government that clearly does not resemble a democracy.

I would be very happy if we could restore Our “Constitutional Republic”.

Saturday morning and I’m sitting in a hospital bed ticked off when I’ve got gravel and lumber on the ground at home and am supposed to be sinking posts and framing another stall for the new horse.
May have had a TIA or mini stroke yesterday afternoon.
It’s passed. The MRI and CT scan came back negative and I just want to get the he’ll out of here and get back to real life but the doc wants to hold me ’till Monday for cardiology and neurology.
I doubt that’s going to happen. I’ll come back for outpatient testing.
I’m fine but when the time comes I’d rather drop dead riding horses, running dogs or shooting commies any day than in a hospital bed strapped to a bunch of wires on a machine.
The work ain’t gonna do itself and mamma can’t handle me being away at night.

Crazy stuff.
I was just watching a 4 a.m. episode of Forensic Files from my hospital bed and on comes an episode on the NYC Last Call serial Killer Richard Rogers.
On the tip of a passing motorcyclist back in August of 1993 I located the dismembered legs and torso of the killers last victim Michael Sakara wrapped in newspaper and doubled bagged in large trash bags over the guardrail of state route 9W overlooking the lower Hudson River in Stony Point, NY.
They were actually right up the road from my house at the time in Tomkins Cove.
When I cut open the bag a maggot infested foot stuck out.
A most memorable and unpleasant experience.

When comments like “shooting communist or tyrants” get you on a list and labeled as a domestic violent extremist you know you have rattled the feathers of such. You may be hovering about the target. Sad part is the gaslighting and disinfo/propaganda is working so well on the stupid sheeple today they don’t even see it. The pain forthcoming to this nation is going to make history and make the American citizen look as stupid, or more so, as the Jews in historical relevance. Learning about ww2 as a kid I never understood how they could not see what was coming….I learned as much as I could to try and understand it. And I see today exactly how it was done. Bidens red fisted speech was my dead canary moment as I absolutely see it is coming to the usa. Within a few days we had Tim Ryan, a current sitting Congressman call for the killing/murder of MAGA “extremist” and days later a grown adult murdered a 17 yr old student because he believed that kids political beliefs, opposing his own, was an extremist threat. You now have media and the left calling for banishment of banking, entrance to food establishments, all started under the brainwashing of the Unvaxed. These narratives softened the foreheads of the sheeple to accept this rhetoric, genocidal speech. Remember how it was stated the Unvaxed were a threat to humanity. Now they changed it to the MAGA movement is a threat to democracy. And labeled extremist. Go read historical accounts of the civil war or ww2. Letters from the front lines. You get a feel of what life really was and the political brainwashing from both sides. We are headed in a very dark direction of significant trials, tribulations, and pain that can only be described as apocalyptic to freedom and life itself. The world has not seen a tyranny so destructive until the usa becomes full tyrannical and it shall be historically awesome in the most horrid sense. Prepare accordingly. Tempus fugit, momento mori.

Yes, I was amazed that we let the Soviets keep Eastern Europe as vassal states. That it was a “progressive/MIC idea is something I learned later.

I was also amazed that we let the Communists keep North Korea, and that we abandoned all of Vietnam to the communists.

It came to seem to me that we were fighting wars to advance communism, as well as enriching the MIC and increasing the power of the Central Government.

So a racist killed by a racist who is then succeeded by a racist means all acts of racism by the deceased no longer exist. Read you loud and clear, wide ass.

In August of 1862, Lincoln invited five prominent black men to the White House, the first black delegation invited on such terms. The topic was simple, that white and blacks cannot coexist and that separation is the most expedient means to peace. Lincoln encouraged these five men to rally support for an exodus.

This intent is even echoed in the Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation: “… that the effort to colonize persons of African descent, with their consent, upon this continent, or elsewhere… will be continued.”

Some freed slaves voluntarily went to Africa, but none were forcibly deported.
You can rant about how evil Lincoln was (he wasn’t), but he preserved the union and prevented the extension of slavery across America.

BTW, the KKK was a Democratic creation, as were the Jim Crow laws that institutionalized discrimination against blacks in the former slave states. Something they were allowed to do by the Democrats m power in Washington.

Racism in the present is something more pertinent to any discussion of the future of America, and it’s a fact that people with a collectivist mentality tend to be racists, while people who see others as individuals do not.

Invasion of a sovereign country for the purpose of rape , murder, pillage and subjugation for starters, fat ass…

“[T]he contest is really for empire on the side of the North, and for independence on that of the South, and in this respect we recognize an exact analogy between the North and the Government of George III, and the South and the Thirteen Revolted Provinces. These opinions…are the general opinions of the English nation.”
London Times, November 7, 1861

“Every man should endeavor to understand the meaning of subjugation before it is too late… It means the history of this heroic struggle will be written by the enemy; that our youth will be trained by Northern schoolteachers; will learn from Northern school books their version of the war; will be impressed by the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors, and our maimed veterans as fit objects for derision… It is said slavery is all we are fighting for, and if we give it up we give up all. Even if this were true, which we deny, slavery is not all our enemies are fighting for. It is merely the pretense to establish sectional superiority and a more centralized form of government, and to deprive us of our rights and liberties.”
Maj. General Patrick R. Cleburne, CSA, January 1864

“If you bring these [Confederate] leaders to trial it will condemn the North, for by the Constitution secession is not rebellion. Lincoln wanted Davis to escape, and he was right. His capture was a mistake. His trial will be a greater one.”
Chief Justice Salmon P. Chase, July 1867 (Foote, The Civil War, Vol. 3, p. 765)

“The Union government liberates the enemy’s slaves as it would the enemy’s cattle, simply to weaken them in the conflict. The principle is not that a human being cannot justly own another, but that he cannot own him unless he is loyal to the United States.”
London Spectator in reference to the Emancipation Proclamation
“The Northern onslaught upon slavery was no more than a piece of specious humbug designed to conceal its desire for economic control of the Southern states.”
Charles Dickens, 1862
“It is stated in books and papers that Southern children read and study that all the blood shedding and destruction of property of that conflict was because the South rebelled without cause against the best government the world ever saw; that although Southern soldiers were heroes in the field, skillfully massed and led, they and their leaders were rebels and traitors who fought to overthrow the Union, and to preserve human slavery, and that their defeat was necessary for free government and the welfare of the human family. As a Confederate soldier and as a citizen of Virginia, I deny the charge, and denounce it as a calumny. We were not rebels; we did not fight to perpetuate human slavery, but for our rights and privileges under a government established over us by our fathers and in defense of our homes.”
Colonel Richard Henry Lee, C.S.A.

Richard Henry Lee said the exact truth, up until He starts “denying the charge” and putting the same spin on our history that you do.

The only “right” in danger in the slave states before the Civil War was the “right” to own other people as slaves. Had they not started a war, there’s a possibility they would have simply been allowed to secede.. but then, a civil war would have started anyway when they started claiming U.S. Territory as their own.. Had they not seceded, all of their rights would have been preserved, except until the Constitution was amended and they lost their “right” to own other people as property.

All due respect for & to Ed Snowden (& it is due), the history this country, all countries, of mankind, is an “open wound.”

Most here, I think, know that the constitutional convention was in fact a coup, that *lots* of people were in on it ~ not just the so-called founders ~ & that for that ball to have carried on down field (to today) most, or more than enough of, the peasant-citizen class had to have been just as inert every step of the way as it is now (qualitatively, not quantitatively: there is more inertness, as a quantity, with the passage of time, but it is the presence of that quality that “finds its level” – & then continuously increases that level).

And from that “central fact” (from that pulled-from-the-hat point in timeless time) some can accurately deduce that “the coup” (as well as it’s expansion, as in 1861) was the point, the goal, all along. The nauseating hero worship of the founders was for a cabal that sought to, & succeeded in, supplanting a king.

House, M.D. : “People lie.” The White House: liars capitol. (Of this country – this bloc of liars.)

There’s only so much that can be done with clay. Not many have enough better ingredients mixed in to fire clay into Ali. Flashman … when the slightly, relatively more conservative Whiskey Rebels of yesteryear (as vs next year’s soi-disant ones) tried to make the much younger & still very cosmetically beautiful constitution billet those written rights, make those words flesh as it were, Ol’ Wooden Choppers Washington & Hamilton, one of the highest IQ duelists who ever lived, rode those PA retired revolutionary peasants down. That happened about twelve minutes after the Holy document was inked.

Not too much longer after that the priests were called in to perform the exorcism but way too late, the pretty Matrix girl in the Red,White & Blue Dress had been possessed (by you know who) from the get & her head was already doing 360’s on her neck & she was using the crucifix in most unintended ways.

Does anybody really know what time it is? Beyond too late by the skull watch. And it doesn’t even have any brains in it.

The left want you to believe they can fix a flawed Constitution thats outdated. This rhetoric is the hint they want you to do the deed for them. Rather, I suggest make it very clearly restated, any flaws in the current Constitution. For example, every “citizen” has the rights to own and bear any arms of their choosing any time any place without any encumbrance by any thing, any person, any entity, any one or any law regulation edit or thereof perceived. You see, no attorney, court, communist or tyrant would have any means of taking over or banning guns. Re writing the entire thing would allow them to once again remove protections and freedoms and add once again dubious language to then enact tyranny under precedent or unclear laws etc. but this time the lefty commies would be so much smarter for they can see the future and the tech and coming ai/robot world. You probably cant handle the next sentences: the world will soon have to deal with ai/robot rights. And harming them can land you jail or capital punishment. They wont be perceived only as someones property…..court cases will argue that your destruction of a caretaking robot endangered the life of the owner of said robot therefore you committed attempted harm/murder of the owner of the robot. This is where it is going. To make everyone fear everything to the point they are tiptoing thru life in fear of some ridiculous edict law or regulation that could end their life or freedoms forever.

No worries , bruh, the Convention of States will fix the flaws in the old Constitution by rewriting it to reflect the modern needs of our grate Dimocracy , such as term limits , balanced budgets, equal rights for butt sex practitioners and moar transgender healthcare for elementary school children transitioning from innocence to full blown debauchery and grate conservative stalwarts such as Mark Meadows, Mark Levin, Rick Santorum, Dave Rubin, Sean Hannity,Ben Shapiro , Marc Rubio, Charlie Kirk, Jeb Bush and Ron DeSantis have already signed on, so what could possibly go wrong ?

If modifications to the Constitution are proposed by a convention, we must insist that the changes be ratified by conventions chosen by the people for that purpose, not by State Legislatures.

Remember the entire reason we have “representatives”, ie congress is due to the travel limitations of the 18th century and the communication limitations. Those limitations are non existent today. We need to abolish congress as there is zero reason or need for them today. We have unlimited travel and immediate communication abilities today. Think about it.

How can I remember something that you just made up?
The reason we elect representatives to the House is so the people at large have a voice in the national government. That is an essential part of the plan, and the constitution wouldn’t have been ratified without it.
The reason the State legislatures were supposed to choose Senators is so the States would have a voice in that government.
The reason the President has a (qualified) veto is to prevent some popular rage to sweep both the people and the States, to stop them from doing something inimical to our liberty, or at least think it over some more, engage in some real debate.

Any way, they could have had mail in voting, just give your ballot to the mailman, and it would get to Washington City to be counted. They could have had a pure democracy and still made it work by vote-by-mail.

Lucky for us, they weren’t that foolish.

You should propose abolishing Congress to the Constitutional Convention, if we ever get another.

It’s human nature…that’s why it’s so rare. Dangle material possessions (or something they really want) in one’s face and watch their principles (for most) go out the door. It will never be any different. Only very few can resist (but I bet even they still have their price)…nobody’s perfect. You will never find anyone who can lead effectively if looking for perfection.

“What Is a Loss Leader Strategy?

A loss leader strategy involves selling a product or service at a price that is not profitable but is sold to attract new customers or to sell additional products and services to those customers. Loss leading is a common practice when a business first enters a market. A loss leader introduces new customers to a service or product in the hopes of building a customer base and securing future recurring revenue.

Loss leading is a controversial strategy that is considered predatory.”

“What is a Fishing Leader Used For?

A fishing leader serves two main purposes: to protect your line and to trick the fish. The leader is a length of line, usually a few feet long, that you tie to the end of the line coming off of your reel. For ease of explanation, let’s call it your reel line. Your lure or bait goes on the other end of the leader. You can tie a swivel between your line and leader if you’re using lures designed to spin. If you’re fly fishing, a tippet goes between your leader and your bait. In order, you want the reel line, then the swivel, the leader, and then the hook. For fly fishing, the order is reel line, leader, tippet, hook.

Leaders come in a variety of materials, but the major three are standard monofilament, fluorocarbon monofilament, and steel.” (sounds a lot like “steal”)

Dangle is right. Leaders are traps. Taken for granted traps. Just recently essential leaders led non-essential dangleds to their demises – in those literal terms. But, as you say, human nature. Generally.

Say mr fisher(of)man, can your reel spool all the way out to anarkhia? And if it can, does it even matter? Rhett(orical)Butler questions, since everybody knows, “Frankly, my dear “leader,” I don’t give a damn.”

I’m team Rhett, but I also understand that there are not enough “Rhetts” in the world who would prefer anarchy. The peasant-citizen class will always want/need to be led, and so a leader (loss or fishing) will emerge, whether we like it or not.

Modernity hasn’t produced any Spinoza or Ali types because we don’t educate the heart anymore, and haven’t for a very long time. So, of course we get the leaders we ask for, don’t we?

I see two options: For the Rhett types, you just gotta accept living on the fringe and be ok with that. Or, we got to do what’s necessary to begin educating hearts & minds for future leaders…knowing they will always be in danger of temptation.

And if, as I maintain, Spinozas & Alis & leaders & followers & me & you & Tippecanoe too are all born, but not made (educated, trained, groomed, etc), is running people ~ even assuming the ability to qualify the ingredients (a thoroughly overly optimistic assumption) ~ through the sausage machine of education, training, grooming a good investment of very finite time (three eyeblinks ago I was 21 years old …)?

But that’s not the main defect.

To clarify, no matter how good the leaders & followers in a particular context or scenario might be ~ lets say there was one out there that was absolutely perfect, in every way, in terms of whatever that group’s bearings were ~ I am saying that the leader-follower dyad is always a trap.

No matter how relatively robust the actors are (as most would agree, for example, that the specimens of yore were much more robust than the soy latte day taints of now) the very dynamic of L-F is an atrophying crutch, is deindividuation, is the e. pluribus unum meltpot.

(Which can, & does, mean only one thing: atrophy, & the rest, was there from the get – its an internal design feature, not an incoming externality bug. Nobody decides to be what they are.)

Anything that subsidizes & proselytizes & imposes disappearing of individuals & pedestalizes social construct collectives is doomed to grind (itself to bits) in place. Humanimal is a creature that epitomizes, via biological design, social construct collectives.

Because it contradicts the comfortable narrative, shortshrift torpedo sinking censorships litter the (I Can)Sea(Clearly Now ~ Johnny Nash ♪♫♪) bottoms at the hands of all the L-F ships of states, & most all of recorded human history is just that sausage(of the sea)-making operation.

Master is weakling midget strapped to the shoulders of Blaster who is a weakling fe-fi-fo-fum.

L-F is a living statue that testifies to the compulsion for shortcuts that humanimal pursues almost without exception. S/he likes to conceit this up with words like “pragmatism,” or “utilitarianism.”

And when “it works,” when the greatest generation wins WW2 (with a little help from demented Seig Heil, & all his demented followers, opening a 2nd front against them also dementeds what was prolly planning daggering his back, too), when four score & six’s lotto ticket finally hits, “confirmation bias” (lyin, self-deception, always aided & abetted & codependently enabled by millions of surrounding hopiumheads waiting on their “payday,” too, or just livin’ la vida vicariously) says, “see? (that ain’t workin’) that’s the way ya’ do it (money for nuthin & your chicks for free).”

Not realizing sarcasm is noted here prettey regularly. Irony, not so much. “It figures,” she sings.

“The old saying is that “figures will not lie,” but a new saying is “liars will figure.” It is our duty, as practical statisticians, to prevent the liar from figuring; in other words, to prevent him from perverting the truth, in the interest of some theory he wishes to establish.” ~ another Carroll, D. Wright, this one

But. Big ol Bertha Butt. Statistics & their specialists. Actuarialism & their specialists. Oddsmaking & their specialists. “Healthcare” bureaucrats & their average wo/man reference ranges. These are modelers. These claim ability to (nowadays) 0 & 1 “the truth.” Predict the future, even.

None of these people ever could, or ever will be able to, identify a Spinoza, or an Ali, or you, or me, or any individual at all, in advance – nor do they have any interest whatsoever in being able to do so.

Such knowledge might be possible, theoretically, science fiction-y, but that’d be some real hard work. The shortcut of melting all individuals into a pot of goo & dividing by two is so much easier – & is it ever a paying lotto ticket. Devil take the hindmost – we concoct for the mythical average wo/man (& those are easily convinced to quaff our decoctions).

None of these people are actually interested in the truth. An average is good enough in their account books. And so the averaging down-down-down continues, in place, forever. It’s designed to be this way.

“Don’t you think?” she sings.

Brian, plain/er fare is abundant. I eat it, if not savor it, too. It’s just not the way the dishes come to table, usually, when I’m the cook. Or, if it is, there may well be somebody with a restricted diet – or palate – at my table that I want to accommodate. My actual table… that I want to accommodate … this ain’t that.

Bolognese sauce. Apparently just the way the Italians do it in Bologna (which is where she got the recipe from & wants me to go … which is a long way to go for spaghetti, I say). It’s one of the faves of the other cook here. A many hours production. I like it ok. But not enough to make it myself. Too plain. It’s a good meal, but its kind of boring.

I make a red sauce that’s got “everything” in it. I love it.

My Bolognese bottomed girl won’t eat it. “Too much going on,” she says. Plus ingredients she doesn’t palate.

“No such thing as too much going on,” I say.

As for palates, everybody gets what they get, & palate transplants just ain’t worth the effort. ☺

I believe you do.

Thought about this for the Elizabeth piece, but all the same pie, so…

Hits many notes in the song always in the air, put there by many singers – going all the way back to pre(-vinyl)recorded choirs. Symbols, wanting to be symbolic above all else – & all the trying to rationalize ~ legitimize ~ “actualize” ~ that.

John Gardner’s Grendel, the monster from Beowulf:

He knows no art but tragedy — a moving singer […] always transforming the world with words — changing nothing.

I couldn’t go on, too conscious all at once of my whispering, my eternal posturing, always transforming the world with words–changing nothing.

Talking, talking. Spinning a web of words, pale walls of dreams, between myself and all I see.

I look down past the stars to a terrifying darkness. I seem to recognize the place, but it’s impossible. “Accident,” I whisper. I will fall. I seem to desire the fall, and though I fight it with all my will I know in advance I can’t win. Standing baffled, quaking with fear, three feet from the edge of a nightmare cliff, I find myself, incredibly, moving towards it. I look down, down, into bottomless blackness, feeling the dark power moving in me like an ocean current, some monster inside me, deep sea wonder, dread night monarch astir in his cave, moving me slowly to my voluntary tumble into death.

I cannot believe such monstrous energy of grief can lead to nothing!

Tedium is the worst pain. The mind lays out the world in blocks, and the hushed blood waits for revenge. all order, I’ve come to understand, is theoretical, unreal – a harmless sensible, smiling mask men slide between the two great, dark realities, the self and the world – two snake pits.

Stars, spattered out through lifeless night from end to end, like jewels scattered in a dead king’s grave, tease, torment my wits toward meaningful patterns that do not exist.

I waited for him to find an answer. Minutes passed. It came to me that he had quit. He had glimpsed a glorious ideal, had struggled toward it and seized it and come to understand it, and was disappointed. One could sympathize.

O the ultimate evil in the temporal world is deeper than any specific evil, such as hatred, or suffering, or death! The ultimate evil is that Time is perpetual perishing, and being actual involves elimination. The nature of evil may be epitomized, therefore, in two simple but horrible and holy propositions: ‘Things fade’ and ‘Alternatives exclude.’ Such is His mystery: that beauty requires contrast, and that discord is fundamental to the creation of new intensities of feeling. Ultimate wisdom, I have come to perceive, lies in the perception that the solemnity and grandeur of the universe rise through the slow process of unification in which the diversities of existence are utilized, and nothing, ‘nothing’ is lost.

Theology does not thrive in the world of action and reaction, change: it grows on calm, like the scum on a stagnant pool. And it flourishes, it prospers, on decline. Only in a world where everything is patently being lost can a priest stir men’s hearts as a poet would by maintaining that nothing is in vain.

All systems are evil. All governments are evil. Not just a trifle evil. Monstrously evil.

It was not always like this, of course. On occasion it’s been worse.

Talking, talking, spinning a spell, pale skin of words that closes me in like a coffin. Not in a language that anyone any longer understands. Rushing, degenerate mutter of noises I send out before me wherever I creep, like a dragon burning his way through vines and fog.

the world: a mechanical chaos of casual, brute enmity on which we stupidly impose our hopes and fears.

They only think they think. No total vision, total system, merely schemes with a vague family resemblance, no more identity than bridges and, say, spiderwebs. But they rush across chasms on spiderwebs, and sometimes they make it, and that, they think, settles that!

Revolution, my dear Prince, is not the substitution of immoral for moral, or of illegitimate for legitimate violence; it is simply the pitting of power against power where the issue is freedom for the winners and enslavement of the rest.

For the world is divided, experience teaches, into two parts: things to be murdered, and things that would hinder the murder of things…

Connectedness is the essence of everything…They sense that, of course, from time to time; have uneasy feelings that all they live by is nonsense. They have dim apprehensions that such propositions as ‘God does not exist’ are somewhat dubious at least in comparison with statements like ‘All carnivorous cows eat meat.’ That’s where the Shaper saves them. Provides an illusion of reality—puts together all their facts with a gluey whine of connectedness. Mere tripe, believe me. Mere sleight-of-wits. He knows no more than they do about total reality—less, if anything: works with the same old clutter of atoms, the givens of his time and place and tongue. But he spins it all together with harp runs and hoots, and they think what they think is alive, think Heaven loves them. It keeps them going—for what that’s worth.

Things come and go,’ he said. ‘That’s the gist of it. In a billion billion billion years, everything will have come and gone several times, in various forms. Even I will be gone…Meaningless, however. These jugs and pebbles, everything, these too will go…A swirl in the stream of time. A temporary gathering of bits, a few random dust specks, so to speak—pure metaphor, you understand—then by chance a vast floating cloud of dustspecks, an expanding universe—’ He shrugged. ‘Complexities: green dust as well as the regular kind. Purple dust. Gold. Additional refinements: sensitive dust, copulating dust, worshipful dust!…New laws for each new form, of course. New lines of potential. Complexity beyond complexity, accident on accident.’…He closed his eyes, still smiling. ‘Pick an apocalypse, any apocalypse. A sea of black oil and dead things. No wind. No light. Nothing stirring, not even an ant, a spider. A silent universe. Such is the end of the flicker of time, the brief, hot fuse of events and ideas set off, accidentally, and snuffed out, accidentally, by man. Not a real ending of course, nor even a beginning. Mere ripple in Time’s stream.

You are mankind, or man’s condition: inseparable as the mountain-climber and the mountain. If you withdraw, you’ll instantly be replaced. Brute existents, you know, are a dime a dozen.

As I’ve mentioned, I think Hamilton and Marshall are mainly to blame for selling the idea that America would not survive in the midst of the circumstances in North America at the time unless it quickly became industrialized and started producing enough wealth to allow the national government to fulfill its duty to protect America and Americans on land and sea.

But blame also lies with Congress, who should have removed the SCOTUS granted extra-constitutional powers when they were obviously no longer needed. And that wasn’t very long at all. But, Congress liked the power.

You can also blame factionalism and political parties, or at least the Federalist Party, who appointed and approved all the Justices on the first S. Ct.

As I’m sure you also know, one of the great balancing factors of the Plan was removed in 1913 (not coincidentally in the Progressive Era) by the 17th Amendment. “Progressives” never liked the premise o f America, and started destroying the checks and balances of the Constitution as soon as they could. They haven’ t stopped yet. What they want is total power. So the can do good for everyone!

We were told that “the Internet is forever,” so I didn’t save the documentation. Good luck finding a credible source for that info now.

The shrinking Internet search options really suck. We found 786 million pages with that phrase, but since it’s all the same we’ll only show you 10-20 versions of the official wikipedia-type information.

the us capitol police disguised themselves as construction workers & broke into a republican congressman’s office w/o a warrant while congress was on thanksgiving break, allegedly to find evidence about the “great insurrection”of j6–
they then broke in again & a staffer was there–they then started questioning the staffer about documents that they had taken photos of during the 1st break in–

Creepiest job interview ever.
Prior to the early 80’s call was provided with a list of books to read. Dug a little deeper, read books of another perspective of the Agency. During the discussion mentioned reading for a different point of view. Was told that was not on the reading list. Mentioned that I was not suitable, thank you.

Golems are eaten boiled with no seasoning. They are stringy, tough and somewhat slimy.
If you freeze them for 4-8 years, they are somewhat better.

First i got a chance to read tonight.

Not sure what to make of it. The entire article Sounds “Good”, Yet opens with a quote by this gentleman: ― Baruch Spinoza

Distillation of his ‘belief’ system? (hasty & cursory)

“Spinoza held an amoral position, that nothing is intrinsically good or bad,…”

Little more digging…Voila! https://www.researchomatic.com/Sabbatai-Zevi-And-Baruch-Spinoza-55592.html

Seems counterintuitive. To say the least.

i’ll need ta dig a little deeper…

P.S. Do You, Eric, have any vids of the clandestine Bio-Weapons Lab(s)?

Few things came up and i forgot to take i forgets’ advice. Meant to research What was his line? “Float like a butterfly”?

All Things Considered? TEAR DOWN the lincoln memorial and put one up for Assange, Snowden, Binney? (sic) Etc…AND everyone that contributed to the effort. For US.

Unsure if the original Video of the Apache Gunship? is still available. Made me think of a bunch o’ kids playin’ a video game. Disturbing to say the least.

“You must understand. The leading Bolsheviks who took over Russia were not Russians. They hated Russians. They hated Christians. Driven by ethnic hatred they tortured and slaughtered millions of Russians without human remorse.

The October Revolution was not what you call in America the ‘Russian Revolution.’ It was an invasion and conquest over the Russian people. More of my countrymen suffered horrific crimes at their bloodstained hands than any people or nation ever suffered in the entirety of human history.

It cannot be overstated. Bolshevism committed the greatest human slaughter of all time. The fact that most of the world is ignorant and uncaring about this enormous crime is proof that the global media is in the hands of the perpetrators”.
– (Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn)

Following an interesting discussion elsewhere and think I might try to make it relevant.

The world is certainly preparing for a nuclear global suicide.

We have to avoid the mass suicide that is oncoming and we have to change the whole structure of the world so that a third world war itself becomes impossible.

If we can make the people of the world… not the politicians, leave them aside, they have the power but without the consent of the people of the world, their power is not of much use.

They can create war only if unconsciously we are ready to commit suicide, if in some way we are supportive to them.

It is our support that has given them power.

If we withdraw our support, their power disappears.

They don’t have any power of their own.

Stop listening when politicians talk, tune out of all legacy news media, they only want to convert you to their sick opinions, to spread their obscene war narratives.

When they talk they want to indoctrinate you, because everybody who has a doctrine is deep down afraid about whether it is true or not.

Politicians are talking to others so that they can believe in what they are talking.

The only way that they can feel that it is true is if they can indoctrinate as many people as possible and can see in their eyes conviction, conversion.

Why until now, is the Western intelligentsia not really fighting back against nuclear weapons?

The problem is that the Western intelligentsia is fed up with life, so there is no real resistance from the intelligentsia against nuclear weapons, against a third world war.

In fact, it seems deep down the Western mind is somehow hoping that it happens soon, because life is meaningless.

Once we can understand the problem clearly that miserable people are dangerous, for the simple reason that they don’t care whether the earth survives or not.

They are so miserable that deep down they may feel that it is better if everything is finished.

Who cares, if you are living in misery?

Only happy people, ecstatic people, dancing people would like this planet to survive forever.

People who are happy, contented, are not the people to be forced to kill other people who have not done any harm to them.

The West is suffering a severe sickness of the soul.

If all of the armies simply say, “No, we are not going to use nuclear weapons.”

If all of the scientists simply say, “No, we are not going to produce any more nuclear weapons.”

If the whole intelligentsia of the world unanimously creates a great uproar!

We need in the world more love to balance war.

We need in the world more creativity to balance the destructive forces.

We need in the world more enlightened people to balance the blind politicians.

If the globalist warmongers have nuclear weapons, then we have to create something equivalent, or more powerful, and enlightenment is certainly more powerful than any nuclear weapon.

There is time enough to withdraw our support; there is time enough to create a non-political humanity.

And the times are such that it is possible.

In ordinary times you cannot convince people to withdraw their cooperation from the politicians, but the times are abnormal and every day the war keeps coming closer.

In this moment, people can choose very easily not to cooperate, because cooperation simply means committing suicide.

We won”t have such an opportunity again.

In the past there was never such an opportunity.

It is not to be missed.

A great adventurous moment is coming close to us, there is nothing to be feared.

Humanity has lived only under the illusion of freedom.

But there is no such thing as freedom as far as the history of man up to now is concerned.

Slaveries have changed, new forms of slavery have taken their place, but freedom has not happened.

Freedom is still a dream.

As long as there is US/NATO political dependence all over the world.

There is no democracy, and there is no freedom.

It is just complete enslavement of the sleeping global masses.

Whenever some illusion is sold as beautiful you want it to be true, you want to believe in it, but whether you believe in it or not, an illusion is an illusion, it makes no difference.

Billions of dollars are being poured into Ukraine with one aim, to destroy Russia, and which Ukraine can never repay, and America never wants them to be able to repay it, so that they remain burdened, under economic pressure.

And America has promised them billions of dollars more in the coming years.

Their whole economy is now in the hands of America.

With those dollars you cannot buy peace, you cannot buy love, you cannot buy silence, you cannot buy compassion, you cannot buy anything valuable.

In fact, accepting those dollars Ukrainians have sold their souls.

If people are really silent, peaceful and loving, they will throw out all of these globalist politicians, who are nothing but warmongers, psychopaths and murderers.

That is the only hope for which people of awakened consciousness go on working.

Freedom is the greatest value and the greatest achievement in life.

Everyone should be free from all kinds of fetters – political, economic, psychological, spiritual.

Unless we can create a world which is really free, we are living only in an illusion of freedom.

The absolutely only move to get any kind of control of this massive intel community (fbi, cia) is to pull the plug on both and scatter the remnants to the four winds. Of course, we all know that will not happen.

Moreover, the weaponized doj must be completely revamped and re-staffed. Of course, we all know that will not happen.
