I was just nibbling on the turkey neck, which goes to the dog. Wife is making stuffing with the other inters. We buy a free-range turkey from a local source, and they get to run around and flap their wings some. We brine the bird for a couple of days.

Why bother. First, happy Thanksgiving. Now back to the beat down. “The Fed has destroyed 95% of the purchasing power of the dollar since 1913.” For those of you who are maff challenged, that’s less than one per cent inflation per year. Scared of one per cent? Look at the flip side. If you own real estate, even a modest home, that inflation has made you rich.

I believe I read that counterfeiting, such as the Fed does, has been punishable by hanging ever since 1792, as it is sure destruction of a country, more than any invasive hot war. Eating out our substance as the Declaration stated.

End the FED!

Once Trump assumes command he could begin a public education campaign with signage like this from the past, things that resonate with each different generation and link it to the evils of the fed. No hyperbole. No bullshit. Just cold hard facts for people to chew on as they go about their day. Billboards, bus adverts, magazine ads, the sides of milk cartons, 10-15 second TV commercials much like those on Viceland Network could all be employed to reveal the truth……to raise questions that the public has not asked in 100 years.

For those that don’t know, Viceland is/was a totally different kind of network than you are used to. I heard about via a comment on Zerohedge some time back. It mentioned a show called Abandoned, about abandoned places in the US and Canada. An episode was on when I heard about it so I watched it. I watched the whole series of six or seven episodes and based on what I saw on that first episode I watched live, I watched all the commercials too.

I suspect that the vast majority of TBP’ers would like it. It was like a long thread taking place on TBP with the commercials playing the part of the odd ball comments that happen on every thread. It was like TBP on TV. The Abandoned show is pretty close to what I think reality TV should be. I think the show fell short of it’s potential to convey some hard truths to people who could genuinely benefit from it but the show was quite good as well.

If anyone of you have cable/satellite look for both the show and the network. I think you can access it online as well. I’m still looking into the network history so I’m not sure who owns it but I’d love to know what others think of it.

Just for the record, the menu from November 29 is not a Thanksgiving meal.

How many people nowadays even know what all those french words mean?

(we prepare our steaks sous vide)

from the menu: “squirrel”, “opossum”

I would probably get my 5 servings of vegetables that day.

Happy Thanksgiving y’all!

Thanksgiving: a repudiation of collectivism

Unhappy Marxist Thanksgiving, Everyone!

Thank what’s left of capitalism for that food and the fuel and car to drive there and heat the house and the shoes and clothes and oven and music and . . .

Well it costs you 35 to forty dollars for a morgan or peace dollar today . So a dollar for dinner a hundred Years ago equivalent to 40 today . I know my grandfather made 20 dollars a week as a longshoreman and his rent in 1940 was 20 bucks a month. And he was poor. But how many laborers make 2000 a week today for rent.

1 oz Silver Eagles sell at $15-18 above spot (+/-$21), so that’s a range of $36-39. 10 oz bars are $5-6 above spot.

And under the existing gold standard, it looks like prices dropped from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. That’s what happens when increases in productivity are not STOLEN by the government through inflation.
