Hero Customer Who Shot Armed Robber At Houston Taco Joint Ordered To Face Grand Jury By Soros-Funded DA

Authored by Chris Menahan via Information Liberation,

The hero customer who shot and killed an armed robber at a Houston taco joint last week has been ordered to face a grand jury by District Attorney Kim Ogg, the Soros-funded prosecutor who appears to have let the career criminal he put down out on bond.

WATCH:

From KTRK, “Grand jury will decide fate of ‘hero’ customer who shot and killed robber at taqueria, HPD says”:

A grand jury will decide whether an armed taqueria customer, who shot and killed a robber last week in southwest Houston and is now being hailed a hero, will be criminally charged.

Investigators said the 46-year-old customer, who police have not identified because he’s not under arrest, turned himself in and is cooperating with detectives.

Fortunately, our hero hired an attorney to defend himself and exercised his right to remain silent.

His lawyer put out the following statement:

“My client, who wishes to remain anonymous, was dining with a friend at El Ranchito Taqueria and as it has been seen on video, a robbery suspect entered the restaurant, and pointed a weapon at my client and the other customers demanding money. In fear of his life and his friend’s life my client acted to protect everyone in the restaurant.

In Texas, a shooting is justified in self-defense, defense of others and in defense of property. The customer has met with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and Investigators with HPD homicide. He fully intends to continue cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

When the investigation is complete, this case will be presented to a Grand Jury. We are confident that a Grand Jury will conclude that the shooting was justified under Texas Law. This event has been very traumatic, taking a human life is something he does not take lightly and will burden him for the rest of his life. For that reason, he wishes to remain anonymous. Due to the overwhelming coverage, we ask the media and the public to respect his privacy.”

The thug he shot was a career criminal who should have been locked up in prison, KTRK reports:

On Monday, the medical examiner identified 30-year-old Eric Eugene Washington as the robbery suspect who was killed.

Records show Washington had an extensive criminal history and was out on bond during the would-be robbery.

Records show that in 2015, Washington was convicted on a lesser charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and sentenced to 15 years in prison in connection to the shooting death of 62-year-old Hamid Waraich, a cell phone store owner. Houston police also charged two other men.

According to records, Washington was released on parole in 2021 and charged with assaulting his girlfriend in December 2022.

Waraich had a fiancée and three sons who reacted strongly when contacted by ABC13.

“If the guy who sopped Eric was around 10 years ago, maybe I’d still have my dad,” Aman Waraich, the son of the store clerk that was killed, said.

“Eric was an evil criminal that took joy in harassing and robbing innocent families. The individual at the taqueria is a true hero!” Sean Waraich, the victim’s other son, added. “He did the right thing in stopping the robber and in protecting the community from a dangerous perpetrator.”

WATCH:

Our hero never would have even been put in this position if Kim Ogg actually locked criminals up rather than kneel before them.

This is a clear-cut case of self-defense but you never know how a jury will rule in the Black Lives Matter era.

Meanwhile back in OZ…..

The munchkins are singing:

“Ding-dong! The Crip is dead
Which old Crip? The Wicked Crip!
Ding-dong! The Wicked Crip is dead
Wake up you sleepy head, rub your eyes, get out of bed
Wake up, the Wicked Crip is dead
He’s gone where the nigglins go
Below, below, below
Yo-ho, let’s open up and sing and ring the bells out
Ding-dong’s the merry-oh, sing it high, sing it low
Let them know the Wicked Crip is dead!”

On a serious note,
The guy who shot the armed robber should be exalted as a hero. Not persecuted for doing what was right in that situation.

Gingrich helps create this stuff with Soro$bucks:

Something Worse Than Voter Fraud

EXCERPT:
Next, Soros needed his shill. And you’re gonna love this part, because it’s one of those things you’re not supposed to remember.

Can you guess his conservative whore of choice?

Newt Gingrich.

Okay, I can hear you now. “Dave, that’s absurd! Newt is Soros’ self-declared number-one foe! This is the guy who was shut down on Harris Faulkner in September for daring to go after Soros. Newt’s whole thing is ‘Soros is evil!’”

Uh-huh. And in 2014 he came to L.A. to intervene on Soros’ behalf for Prop. 47, penning an op-ed for The L.A. Times extolling the measure’s benefits, and partnering with Van Jones (yes, far-left hate-whitey Van Jones) for a pro-47 media tour. The Sacramento Bee called Soros the “sugar daddy” behind the Prop. 47 blitz, and The L.A. Times (in a surprisingly honest piece) outlined how Soros was funding the campaign through visible and “less visible” (i.e., devious) means.

Sean Hannity likes ole Newt.

Different subject, I sometimes question why the “conservative” talking heads don’t run for office. Sean Hannity, Screamin’ Mark Levin, Dennis Prager (not listened to him in a couple years praise the Lord), don’t have Larry Elder on local radio now, wait, I believe he did at least run for some office in CA, Glenn Beck. Beck turned out to be a disappointment. None the less Beck is right in there with ALL the so called “conservative” talking head that “think they know so much”. Hum , Ronald Reagan made a similar comment if not the exact one talking about “our” liberal friends know so much. Why don’t these guys make a difference and run for office?!

Well, a grand jury is simply deciding if there is sufficient evidence to bring charges related to a specific crime. But agreed, not only are juries NOT told, they are actually lied to. I was kicked off a jury panel once (for many reasons I did not wish to serve) because I specifically said that I would NOT take an oath to only judge the facts as my right as a citizen was to judge the law as well.

This is Texas where something like this is perfectly legal to do. Someone walks into a home or business guns out you automatically have the right to defend yourself using lethal force. Since these are state led charges the Attorney General should intervene and drop them.

Well, I’m from Texas as well. I have a CC permit and carry all the time. If you watch the news video and it went as described, he did a few things that will be not in his favor. 1) After the perp was down and appeared to be out, the dude put one last bullet into him. If the perp was still a threat then good on him, if not… 2) He left the seen….

The news indicated the police weren’t looking to charge (good, Texas thing although surprising in Houston). Unfortunately, he likely did some illegal stuff there and with the Soros DA will likely face some charges.

In a better era, blatantly corrupt prosecutions like this would be met with non compliance.

You can arrest and target one guy. But 10? 20? Good luck 👍 make them reveal themselves for the tyrants they are, or back them down with a show of what we used to call resolve or courage.

It’s long past time where we start standing together or hanging separately.

He had escaped the scene, surprising that he would be in contact with government subsequently. Certainly were he so situated as to avoid doing so he would have been far better off.

It’s a sad commentary when a career criminal is treated with more deference by the state than an individual defending himself and others. It is understandable from the position of the state, that is, to wield power over individuals as a primary function, but the work is suppressing the criminal rather than the citizen, in theory.

Wouldn’t matter if it was a cap gun. You are not about to ask and verify with a thug if its a real gun and what calibre.

And, if you are that completely STUPID to rob a place with a bb gun in a state that is heavily gun cultured, then you deserve everything coming your way.

Exactly why in the first thread to the story I said the plastic “gun” is relevant, the fact just like not going to a gun fight with a knife, a would be robber…anyway, I thought one of the vids posted was interesting when the shooter picked up the plastic “piece” whatever it was and realized it had no ability to fire bullets throwing it across the room. I’m certainly not saying the shooter was wrong in nailing the guy, only there is relevance in the plastic.

For someone to attempt to rob or commit any crime with plastic could possibly be someone on meth that all of a sudden thinks he/she can move mountains. Scary shit from pictures of meth heads and incidents involving meth freaks. I pray for them. That shit is horrible.

Shooting him 7 times in the back by Texas law, as he was thought to be armed with a firearm, was justifiable, in order to stop him from fleeing with the stolen property. If I understand Texas law correctly. But once he is down and unable to flee and / or present a threat, shooting him again might have a hard time flying past the juries. That could be looked at as an execution, rather than justifiable use of force.
I suppose if the shooter was smart he would testify that the perp still had the gun in his hand and was trying to turn to threaten the shooter still.

9mm vs. BB pistol.

Most stuff released to the public is edited for graphic content. I attended a handgun certification course back in the ’90’s where the Fairfax County PD had been invited to give a police perspective on civilian carry. The cops showed a video of a convenience store clerk who was shot in the heart at close range by a gangbanger using crappy .357 reloads.
The revolver misfired twice before the third shot went off. She was arguing. It wasn’t her money being taken from the register, but of course, in many places the cash in a mismanaged register is taken from the employee’s pay. She was wearing a white shirt, hit directly through the heart and you could see the blood bloom on her shirt from behind.
It took the poor woman almost a minute to die as she stumbled, and crawled in a pool of blood behind her register. I watched the video multiple times and it still bothers me.

Sometimes, what you see can never be unseen.

The shooter is fortunate he was not shot by a real McCoy. He would win no quick draw contest for sure.

A lot of folks eat at restaurants with booths. Sit in a booth and remove your carry from your person placing it on the unseen side of the booth bench. Place a napkin over it or maybe your big bandanna that is in your pocket. Practice 50/50 left/right shooting.
