Cobalt, lithium, manganese – all with ecological and toxicity dangers. Even copper production falls woefully short of providing enough to switch transportation to electric vehicles. Also, the same people who want everyone to switch to EV’s also stymie opening mines for the materials to build those EV’s.
Idiotic Europeons and Americans will accept- and even push for – EV’s, but people in India and China and Russia and the “global south” are unlikely to want to get rid of their reliable internal combustion vehicles – unless the Globohomo American Empire really arm-twists them. One more reason to pray for the GAE to get bitch-slapped royally in their proxy war in the Ukraine.
