It certainly doesn’t have to be….but unfortunately we are now living in a unipolar world with the US as the lead power. If we are to lose that status it is more likely that we will be replaced and not just return to a multipolar world…..where we could basically keep China in check militarily and otherwise pretend they don’t exist. Worked really well during the cold war. Nope losing our empire status now (which you or I never wanted or asked for) has very real and negative consequences. Thus my comment is that we should spend time getting rid of our own government instead of just complaining…We are the leaders we have been waiting for. Nobody is coming to save us but ourselves. We need to push back against both groups…..my last point is that our chances are much better with the Swampers than with the alternative.
