Using cluster bombs is only a war crime because lawyers say it is. All war is a crime because it kills people for the purpose of stealing their goods. If someone makes war on you , killing them any way you can (including cluster bombs) . is moral and ethical. When you defend yourself, all is fair.
Not sure why you got all the down votes unless they are just bots or don’t understand justice. Lawyers are evil with very few exceptions. Most have no conscience or compassion for their victims. They are one of those professions that will work for anybody that will pay them. A lawyer once told my Dad that an attorney is like a whore. They will work for anybody that will pay them.
There are lots of good, decent attorneys. There is also a large minority who are clones of Hunter Biden who is an attorney, although he appears to spend more time hiring attorneys than being one. Lots of alcoholics and druggies and folks who have trouble keeping their drawers on. Locally we have had scandal after scandal. Like a lot of things, when the third or fourth generation takes over, firms go completely to shit.
I think Overthecliff may have gotten down votes because of his assumption that cluster munitions are a means of self-defense for Ukraine. This is very unlikely. More probable is that Ukraine will use them to bomb Donetsk.
I’m afraid these cluster bombs will not be used for the self-defense of Ukrainians, but rather will be used by the Ukrainian army to kill civilians in Donbass, as they have been doing for over 9 years.
